The dragon's harem

Chapter 1684: Worrying Devil

Chapter 1684: Worrying Devil

The night outside was cold, and it was just starting. They couldn’t hear the harrowing fights taking place outside between the Blizzard Monster and the horrors of the deep sea, thanks to the loud wind, but they could feel the faint tremors in the ground. From time to time, a slight vibration would travel through the entire house and make the flames flicker.

As the flames flickered and cast their light around, the shadows in the room danced and twisted, illuminating the room with a warm orange glow.

On the soft fur bed, protected from the cold by the thick stone walls, Haru lay down. She had dreamed many times of having Arad all for herself, but only now had she realized what she was wishing for.

The nights here in the Arctic Lands are long, and even though it’s already pitch black outside, it should be just an hour past the afternoon. They still had hours before their bedtime, even without counting some special time.

But here she was, helpless on the bed, soft and plump, happy but anxious. She couldn’t help but feel both excited and worried, barely covering her bosom with her arms.

She could feel Arad’s lips on her cheek, neck, chest, stomach, thighs, and even toes. She was blind, and so could barely tell if he was just touching, kissing, or licking her; all of the sensations had faded away into a single, fluttering tickle.

They had melted some snow earlier and used it to wash themselves, but she didn’t know if she was clean enough for him to be doing that. She herself couldn’t tell and usually would rely on the maids of the castle to prepare her for bedtime.

She couldn’t even rely on Arad’s judgement for that because Sara had warned her that he is willing to put up with a bit too much. It was her responsibility to be sensible and make herself ready for bed.

Sadly, she could barely think now as she felt him stuck between her legs, licking her as if he was about to actually start biting.

To Arad, she was absolutely beautiful. A slender yet plump body, soft, long, and slick legs, and feet crowned with soft toes and sharp claws. Her hips were wide, and her chest was big enough, and even though she looked soft, the muscles beneath her skin made her feel nice and firm.

She was worried that she might be unclean, but Arad had cleaned her himself, and he had no problem with her at all.

He knew that she felt like a burden. Sara had told him before that Haru felt that her blindness was a burden on those around her. But even though he had expressed many times that she wasn’t a burden, she still didn’t seem to believe his words deep down.

“You know… Arad…” She smiled. “Now, I’m feeling a bit scared. I wish Sara and the maids were here…” She reached with her arms, wrapping them around his head and pulling him up, so he would stop licking her.

“Are you scared of me?” He patted her head, running his fingers through her hair. Feeling his touch, she couldn’t help but shiver. She wasn’t afraid of him, but of herself, of his other wives. When Sara was around, Haru could just relax and enjoy the ride; now, she had to go out and do something.

She is a priestess who spent centuries in hell praying and doing just what a normal nun would do. She had no sense of what to do in bed and wouldn’t count on herself to give Arad a good time. It felt embarrassing to ask Arad what to do, and taking advice from Sara each night had enabled her long enough.

Now, she could only lie there, feeling ashamed and awkward. Should she ask him to put it in? Should she stand and order him to suck on her toes? Or should she get on her knees and beg him to blast her throat open?

She giggled. “No, I’m scared of not having them around.” She reached down with her hand and ran it on her body. “This body of mine… I don’t know how it looks. Is it acceptable? Am I ready? Clean enough? Am I moving right or in the right position? What should I do?”

She sighed. “I used to rely on them. True, Sara had almost always taken her turn before me, and I won’t deny it made me feel a bit jealous. I wanted to go first, to go at you on my own, and have you for me and me alone.” She wrapped her legs around his hip and pulled him even closer.

“Here, locked in a stone-cold coffin, and in the middle of Limbo…” She started shaking a bit. “I do not have the power to keep you safe, and I fear the others would blame me for it if we don’t manage to get back home safely.”

Arad wasn’t anywhere near safety, so she didn’t even feel it was right for her to enjoy herself or play around like this. They should be working out to get out of here, she should be bleeding her eyes out looking into the endless future, and she must pour her all into finding a way to get them out of here.

What scared her wasn’t Arad, spending the night here, or the deadly monster outside, and this entire Plane of Limbo. It was her own lack of power and the responsibility that Arad’s wives assigned to each other.

Arad’s wives weren’t silent watchers; they actively tried to protect him as he protects them. And now, he was here with her all alone. He was a mere human, powerful for his kind, but still too weak compared to the horrors of Limbo, and she was just as weak, a devil who can only see the future and fails at even fending for herself.

If any other of Arad’s wives were here with him, what would they do? How would they act, and will they be able to protect him? Seeing the future sounded like a powerful ability, but only Haru knew that it was just a depressing curse.

Being able to see the future didn’t mean she could change it, and if she could, she would’ve already been much, much more powerful. If the Kraken or the Blizzard Monster attacked, she would die helplessly, as if she weren’t even there.

“They won’t blame you. It’s my job to protect you and them.” He slowly let his weight down, and she could feel something massive and thick crawling its way inside her, almost as if tearing its way in.

“I’m a devil, you know?” She gasped, “And here am I, useless. Sara would’ve been more helpful; any other one besides me would’ve been a better choice.” She could imagine Eris just blasting this entire world to ash, Aella pushing the Blizzard Monster away with her wind, or Merida going crazy and cutting everything in their path with her sword.

He pushed in deeper and deeper, “Relax. You’ll be fine. I’ll fight, and you’ll support me. Knowing where to go, what kind of monster we’re facing, and how to defeat them is more useful than raw power.”

She took a deep breath and started pulling him closer with her legs, forcing his flesh even deeper inside her.

“Do you remember how my curse work?” She whispered in his ear, and he smiled.

“Then, let’s use it. Full power ahead, I’m sure it’ll be helpful.” As she whispered again, Arad’s hands grabbed her wrists and pinned them to the bed, and in the next moment, she felt everything going inside in a single forceful push, causing her to gasp for air.

She couldn’t move, it hurt, and her fate was sealed for the coming hours. But that time… it shall be put to good use, and shall be once again reflected when they are in dire need.

Haru’s innate curse is hard to use, but powerful. And now, she was charging it.
