The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2267: Facing Radagon head-on

Chapter 2267: Facing Radagon head-on

Cain’s eyes sharpened as he took in the state of the battlefield that the Sixth Layer had become. Space-time twisted in great convulsions, collapsing and reforming in violent tides; even a normal Prima Deity would have been ripped apart within hours by the sheer instability as the air itself screamed with distortion.

He knew casualties were inevitable. Yet there was no space for hesitation—not when every warrior behind him had wagered their life on this assault. The only way he could repay their determination and courage was to use every shred of strength he possessed and push toward success.

Without losing even a heartbeat, Cain moved forward. Anark, Zephirax, Amara, Cipher, Arkam, Uriel, and the five strongest Late ArchDeity generals followed him.

Their combined auras rose like supernovas, carving tides of destruction through the swarming spawns, killing hundreds by the second.

As they descended toward the floor of the layer, Cain extended his palm. A sphere of swirling Entropy and Nihility materialized above it—an Endpsphere.

He drew a deep breath, centering his mind, and then channeled one of the Innate Abilities of Resurreccion through it, feeding the sphere with burning will and raw soul-power.

Under the astonished gazes of the warriors around him, the Endpshere expanded, growing larger and brighter until it dwarfed mountains. Moments later, it crashed downward, blasting open a colossal hole and tearing a path directly into the Seventh Layer.

Cold resolve tightened in the eyes of the super-powerhouses and the elite generals of the Six Sacred Races, the moment they gazed into the Seventh Layer.

On the other side of the fracture, seven figures stood ready. Rykard. Godfrey. And five more High Lords of the Root.

Though the last five had awakened before their gestation was complete—leaving their auras faint and their life force imperfectly formed—each was still an immortal horror. Their bodies radiated unnatural endurance, and their eyes burned with killing intent.

Cipher and the others felt a weight settle over them. Even with their advantage in numbers, a single misstep here could tear their lives away.

But fear found no place in their hearts. They had lived through millennia of battles, horrors, and tribulations. Their wills had been tempered against countless enemies, and many among them had survived disasters that obliterated worlds.

This was simply the pinnacle battle—the most important struggle of their lives. The enemy standing before them came from beyond the universe itself to devour them, and failure here meant doom for everything they had ever known.

"ARGRHHHH!" The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe roared as one, their will erupting like a tide of burning stars. Their energy and life force surged, each fighter shining with a brilliance that made them resemble radiant celestial bodies.

"Kill them all!" Godfrey’s voice thundered. His eyes were cold, merciless, predatory. He lunged forward, and the High Lords beside him followed, releasing devastating waves of power.

What came next was an explosion of annihilation so immense that the entire Seventh Layer trembled. It felt as though the sky itself would collapse. Energy clashed, folded, and detonated; space-time screamed as the combatants tore into each other.

Cain and Anark did not let themselves be drawn into the general melee. Their gazes remained fixed ahead. Together, the two True Primordials surged downward through the chaos, cutting a path straight to the ground of the Seventh Layer. Tendrils erupted from the living terrain, hardening into walls of rot meant to halt their advance.

The two Primordials answered with pure will.

Cain formed another Endpshere in his palm. Anark placed his hand upon it, channeling the Primordial Force of the Void directly into it. The sphere pulsed, trembled, and then began to grow at a pace that bordered on madness. Shuddering vibrations rolled through it; its power multiplied over and over until cracks of darkness rippled across its surface like living veins. Spikes emerged with each passing second.

Cain and Anark pushed the Void-Endpsphere downward. The ground howled, shattering as if struck by a falling moon. A vast crater tore open beneath them as the reinforced layer collapsed entirely.

Their eyes sharpened.

Waiting on the Eighth Layer of the Heart of the Root stood the being they had come for—the King of the Root himself.

Radagon.

Cain and Anark clenched their fists. Even without anyone saying a word, they both understood the danger before them. Radagon’s aura was wildly unstable, like a star collapsing under its own mass, yet the strength he radiated was overwhelming. It pressed on them like cosmic weight—ancient, vast, and world-consuming.

But the hearts of the True Primordials held no fear. The only answer they knew was to advance. Killing intent flared in their eyes, and the two lunged forward with everything they possessed.

Radagon did not hesitate either. Even with the shadow left on his mind by the Red King, even with the instability devouring him from within, he leapt to meet them. The purpose of his existence was to serve the Root. He would not allow them to advance—not while he still drew breath.

"RUMBLE!"

Their clash arrived in a single, apocalyptic instant. Shockwaves erupted, collapsing space-time around them and turning it into an abyssal void that could have swallowed weak ArchDeities whole. The air thinned to nothing. The ground disintegrated. Energy from the collision carved spirals of destruction that punched through layers of the Heart of the Root.

And this was only the beginning.

Cain and Anark each met one of Radagon’s arms head-on. Bones cracked. Flesh trembled. Their bodies shook as if they might explode at any moment—but fierce smiles lit their faces.

The first time they had fought Radagon, the King of the Root had nearly killed them with two blows. Their bodies had shattered; their souls had nearly broken.

But now?

Now they could meet him without falling. They could resist. They could fight on equal ground.

It took every single iota of power they had, but the True Primordials were able to face the strongest warriors of the Root head-on!
