The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2303: New Late Overgod Technique

Chapter 2303: New Late Overgod Technique

Cain and Meylin rose once more into the skies of the Fourth Realm. Neither needed to speak for Skull Lord to understand how their meeting with the Three Moons had gone. The coldness in their expressions, restrained yet unmistakable, told him all he needed to know.

At the very least, there had been no surge of catastrophic energy—no battle. That alone spared him a great deal of trouble. After all, while Skull Lord himself was not really fond of the Three Moons, they fulfill a crucial role in the battle for the Fourth Realm, so he could not just kill them.

"Let us return to the Heart of Sin," Skull Lord said calmly. "You may rest there, and we can discuss our next move."

Cain nodded, and the group immediately set off.

The Fourth Realm was truly vast, far beyond what the lower realms could compare to. Space-time here was extraordinarily dense, its resistance making long-distance teleportation complex even for beings of great power.

Yet Skull Lord’s aura expanded to envelop them all, and with every passing second their speed and momentum increased. This method of movement was only practical across enormous distances, but once it stabilized, their velocity grew terrifyingly fast.

By the fourth day, they were moving so quickly that even Cain struggled to perceive anything beyond fleeting flashes of distorted light. He glanced at Skull Lord and felt a quiet shock. Despite their overwhelming speed, there was not the slightest sign of strain in the True Depravita’s bearing. His breathing was steady, his aura stable, as though such movement demanded almost no effort at all.

"So this is the true difference," Cain thought. "Those who reach the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank are said to stand at the peak of the food chain—but that is only the beginning. Those who surpass the Early Stage wield cosmic power on an entirely different level."

Not long after, they reached the Void beyond the Fourth Realm. The density of chaotic energy there was staggering, thick enough to erode weaker Divine Kingdoms without an exceptionally deep foundation.

"Only the strong can survive in a place like this," Cain murmured.

He understood now that higher realms did not merely produce stronger warriors—they demanded strength just to endure existence itself.

The Heart of Sin soon came into view. It resembled the strongholds Cain had seen in other realms, but it was clearly far more durable, its structure reinforced to withstand power on the level of Alpha-Omega Overgods. Even the devastating sword of the Neo-Angel they had faced earlier would struggle to breach it.

Once inside, the group ascended to the highest level of the fortress. Only then did they finally allow themselves a moment of stillness, settling their thoughts.

"There are still several months before the deadline," Skull Lord said. "Do you intend to move directly to the Fifth Realm, or will you remain here? If you stay, I can guarantee a lot of battles and merit points."

The True Depravita did not hide his interest. Warriors of Cain’s caliber—especially one capable of killing an Early Alpha-Omega Overgod—could shift the balance of the war. Meylin and the Enlightened One both turned their gazes toward Cain, awaiting his decision.

They had no objection to remaining in the Fourth Realm. Battles were plentiful, enemies abundant, and the purity and density of the Oniric Truth here would allow them to refine their cultivation far more efficiently than in the lower realms.

Cain considered the matter carefully before answering.

"We will remain in the Fourth Realm until one month before the deadline," he said at last. "Thirty days will be enough for us to cross the barrier into the Fifth Realm—provided I am at full strength."

Skull Lord’s eyes gleamed with restrained excitement.

"Perfect. With your help, we can expand our domain significantly. If fortune favors us, we may even destroy the physical body of that bastard Crowley."

The mere thought of shattering the Neo-Angel’s flesh filled him with barely contained thrill.

Cain smiled faintly and nodded.

"I will do my best in the major engagements," he said. "But I am more suited to precision strikes. If you provide me with a list of targets, I can infiltrate enemy territory and eliminate them directly."

It was the same approach Cain had used in the Second and Third Realms under Zarazel and Tiramisu—efficient, lethal, and devastating to enemy morale.

However, Skull Lord immediately shook his head.

"That will not work here. You would be discovered almost at once."

Before Cain could object, Skull Lord continued.

"I do not doubt your abilities. But just as we have the Three Moons, Crowley commands a prophet of terrifying power. I do not know their identity, but they can predict nearly every ambush and infiltration we attempt."

Cain, Meylin, and the Enlightened One were visibly surprised. Divination was common among powerful beings, but foreseeing the actions of Alpha-Omega Overgods required an extraordinary domain and authority.

"You may have been beyond their sight while separated by the Realm Barrier," Skull Lord said solemnly, "but now they will be watching you closely."

His gaze hardened as he looked directly at Cain.

"Due to the presence of prophets on both sides, warfare in the Fourth Realm has become largely direct—overwhelming force against overwhelming force."

Cain’s expression grew complicated. Head-on clashes were excellent for honing skill and combat instincts, but they offered fewer opportunities for the kind of sustained slaughter that fed the Scarlet Throne. Without that influx of power, his ability to refine Reaper Touch or rapidly strengthen his body would be diminished.

Still, that was not the only path forward.

"I understand," Cain said at last. "We will follow your strategy."

He paused, then continued with a meaningful light in his eyes.

"There is something I wish to ask. Do you possess any body-enhancement techniques—particularly ones focused on physical refinement? I am not asking for charity. I believe I have earned considerable merit points by killing Urin, and I am prepared to trade powerful treasures in return."

As he spoke, Cain waved his hand. The air shimmered as Alpha-Omega Overgod-level weapons and armor manifested before them, each radiating terrifying authority.
