The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2379: Killing the Immortal Knight

Chapter 2379: Killing the Immortal Knight

The True Primordial of the Void and the Knights of the Scarlet Kingdom burned their power without restraint, tearing through every True Depravita that dared cross their path.

Their movements were decisive and merciless, their gazes locked firmly on the two figures ahead. Once the red boxes were destroyed and the flow of diving monsters cut off, neutralizing the gravitational formation would be simple. After that, locating the true mastermind behind this chaos would be only a matter of time.

Anark’s eyes glowed with cold determination.

He knew exactly what kind of force stood behind this assault, and it was not something that could be underestimated. The Primordial Force of the Void responded to the urgency in his soul, roaring violently as it surged through him.

With every heartbeat, the True Primordial of the Void advanced faster, space distorting under his steps as his presence alone erased weaker Depravitas from existence.

Above the floating city, the Scarlet King clenched his teeth.

Even with the support of the four elites, True Depravitas continued to crash into his Chaos Wings, detonating violently. Every explosion sent tremors through his body, threatening to destabilize the Scarlet Crown and drag it down. The strain was immense, his energy being drained at an alarming rate.

Yet Cain did not waver. The full power of his body and soul was ready to overcome this calamity and kill the responsible.

Unseen by him, however, another figure moved through the Scarlet Crown.

There was a fifth presence—one untouched by the overwhelming gravitational pull. Beyond the two Primordials and the three Knights, only one being possessed the means to ignore the formation entirely.

Sozing.

The Immortal Knight of the Tenth Empyrean World moved silently through the floating city, his presence concealed to absolute perfection. His gaze was sharp as a blade as it fixed upon Cain’s back. Step by step, he advanced, suppressing his aura so completely that not even the slightest ripple disturbed the surrounding energy.

This ambush had cost him dearly.

Sozing had expended some of the mightiest treasures of the Tenth Empyrean World and revealed the identities of two of his core puppets. If he failed here, there would be no second chance. That was precisely why he was willing to gamble everything.

The closer he drew to the Scarlet King, the heavier the pressure became.

Sozing had faced monsters beyond counting. He had stood in wars that split the Ten Empyrean Suns Universe in half. He had walked the highest stage of existence beside the man who rewrote destiny itself.

And yet—

Despite all that...

"I feel as if a serpent is coiling around my body, ready to devour me."

This man was not even three hundred years old, yet he made Sozing feel threatened.

"If he is allowed to continue growing," Sozing thought grimly, "his fangs may one day be aimed at Adam himself."

A resolve born from the core of his essence surged forth.

Sozing positioned himself perfectly.

At that exact moment, another wave of Shooting Star True Depravitas slammed into the Chaos Wings. The floating city lurched violently, forcing Cain’s energy to burst outward to stabilize it.

That was the opening.

Sozing moved.

He flashed forward at a speed that would shock even an Alpha-Omega Overgod, yet still released not even the faintest trace of aura. His hand moved like lightning, reaching toward Cain’s head.

But—

Just as his fingers were inches away—

Two scarlet eyes, containing an ocean of emotion, locked onto him.

In that instant, every desire, every will, every fragment of conviction and determination from the billions of warriors who had placed their faith in Cain surged forth. The weight of their belief crashed into Sozing’s soul and mind like a tidal wave.

And then—

A spear flashed forward.

It carried power capable of annihilating creation itself.

Even the mighty Immortal Knight of the Tenth Empyrean World—the teacher of Adam—was unable to stop the Zero-State Spear from reaching his brow.

Because he had suppressed all his energy to remain undetected, his flesh alone was defenseless.

The spear pierced his skull.

It pierced through his brain and finally emerged from the back of his head in a spray of blood and grey matter.

The eyes of the Scarlet King burned with a killing intent so cold it froze space-time itself as he stared directly at Sozing.

"I built this place with my own blood and essence," Cain said calmly. "You did well hiding your intentions and emotions. Unfortunately for you... your determination burned just a little too brightly."

Sozing’s eyes widened.

He could not believe it.

That determination itself had betrayed him.

The young man before him was a monster.

Before Sozing could even attempt to salvage the situation, the Scarlet King’s gaze erupted with power reminiscent of his brother’s authority.

"Chaos of Extermination: Soul Unraveling."

A devastating surge of power coursed through the Zero-State Spear, directly unraveling Sozing’s soul. It was very similar to the power that the Crimson Exarch used to almost blow up the head of the Ancient One, a monster at the limit of the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank.

The Immortal Knight’s disguise burned away, revealing his true form as the light in his eyes faded into nothingness.

There was no pity.

No mercy.

Cain watched without emotion as the Immortal Knight’s soul was completely erased, ceasing to exist.

Only after confirming a death had taken place did Cain finally allow himself a single breath of relief.

It would be a lie to say he had not been wary of the Tenth Empyrean World. This move had taken him by surprise—but in the end, everything had worked out.

Or so he thought.

Suddenly—

Sozing’s eyes glowed once more.

"Impossible!" Cain shouted.

He was certain he had killed him.

Before he could comprehend what was happening, Sozing grabbed the spear with one hand and forced his ruined body forward. Blood poured freely, yet it allowed the Immortal Knight to finally achieve his goal.

His hand plunged into Cain’s head.

"I won."
