Chapter 3488: Strong Enough

Chapter 3488: Strong Enough

“I’ll keep that in mind.” Rui nodded. “I am aware that he has powerful senses. And with his instincts, I will need to keep my stealth up to get some extra surprise. It might prove to be the difference between life and death.”

“It might.” Lord Gajanan nodded. “You should get some rest. You must be in nothing short of your very best by the time the moment arrives.”

“I do intend to get some good, deep sleep to overcome the aftereffects of my power, yes,” Rui replied with a tired voice. “I imagine Amare is the same, too. Once that’s done, we will be able to go all out and use our full power. Well then…”

He nodded at the leader of the Gajanan Clan. “Until it is time.”

While Rui departed from his meeting with the leader of the Gajanan Clan, heading to get some rest, the Gajanan Clan had already taken deep steps into its mobilization process.

RUMBLE…

A herd of war elephants slowly assumed positions within a military base in a state of discreet stand-by. Their bodies were the size of buildings, while their hides were nigh-impenetrable to any regular kind of projectile or energy weapons systems, and their bodies were capable of producing enough energy to eviscerate entire cities.

They had undergone the mobilization process in the past few days as the teams assigned to their maintenance and control carefully activated their systems as they went through many protocols and security checks designed to get them.

These were biotechnological machines and weapons of mass destruction with a conscious mind.

To say that they were dangerous was an understatement. And yet, without them, the therianthropes would never be able to leverage their path to control technology. Their biotechnology needed to be compatible with their Beast Path, so that they could synergetically leverage their combined powers to produce a better outcome.

Each of the mighty beasts had dedicated therianthropes who were particularly powerful and qualified when it came to controlling beasts. Their job was to ensure that these walking machines of absolute destruction did not blow up and destroy everything. The lives of millions were at stake, and the sheer amount of damage that they could do to everyone and everything was beyond calculation.

A large amount of massive elephantine stationary heavy fixed artillery was rapidly mobilized into action, readied against the enemies of the Gajanan Clan.

However, it wasn’t just the Gajanan Clan that mobilized for war as discreetly as possible; it was also the rest of the Harmonist Faction. Despite being a large faction in and of itself, just the word of Lord Vakratunda alone was enough to make all the other clans of the Harmonist Faction join in on the operation, despite the fact that they themselves had not met and interacted with the Dawnbringer, whom they put their fate in.

It was because Lord Vakratunda had decided that any other way would cause much more widespread death and destruction. If they went about in a highly prudent manner where the Dawnbringer was approved by each and every single leader within the Harmonist Faction, it would leak, causing their plans and strategy to be compromised, while the War Coalition would invade their territories with all the hell there was.

Lord Vakratunda wisely realized that he couldn’t afford that and that this was the moment to leverage his authority to push forward and get the plan set into motion. That didn’t mean, of course, that he wasn’t answerable to other powerful leaders within the Pasupati Clans of Kiriket.

BZZZT

Lord Gajanan shifted as he found himself gazing at a notification of a call from a particular individual.

He swiped his hand through the hologram before him, accepting the call while the three-dimensional biotechnological projector projected the image of a humanoid-monkey with a bear upper body while his lower body was fashioned with the finest of pelts and leather.

His body was covered in monkey fur, while his skeletal structure, particularly his face, retained monkey-life features. And yet, there was an immense aura of power about him, one that very few could hope to match.

His demeanor was heavy, reflecting the sheer weight of the strategy that they were about to commence within a day.

“So then…” the monkey man began. “It’s to begin soon, is it, Vakratunda?”

“Maruthi,” Lord Vakratunda acknowledged him with a nod. “Yes, it will begin in less than a day.”

A silence followed his words while Lord Vakratunda continued eating a plate full of modaks, unperturbed by the heavy

“How many of those do you intend to have?”

“As many as I wish to,” he replied with a knowing tone. “Such is the gift that is free will.” Tʜe sourc of ths content s novelFir.net

Lord Maruthi huffed with a disapproving shake of his head. “If you were more warlike, you could have been as strong as the Dragon Emperor.”

“Perhaps,” Lord Vakratunda remarked. “But that would also make me lose what made me as strong as I am. Ultimately, who I am does not allow me to pursue power the way that Shenlong did.”

“That’s unfortunate, indeed,” Lord Maruthi smiled. “And just how strong is he?”

The air grew heavy as his tone took a more intense turn.

Lord Vakratunda’s eyes shifted to meet those of his friend knowingly. “Do you wish to fight him? I would rather you didn’t. He is our ally and our benefactor, and he is about to fight the Dragon Emperor in a battle that will decide the fate of our continent. You can challenge him after the whole ordeal is over, but we will have far too many more important matters to tackle than that, you know?”

Lord Maruthi heaved an exasperated sigh, shaking his head. “Forget it, I will spare him this time for taking out the Dragon Emperor… assuming he is strong enough to do that, which brings me to the question of how strong he is. You didn’t answer that yet.”

Lord Vakratunda fell into thought before nodding.

“He is strong enough.”
