The Martial Unity

Chapter 3530: Emergency Communication

Chapter 3530: Emergency Communication

Very rapidly, all other civilizations in the true world made the same discovery that the Emperor of Harmony had. Their familiarity with negatron matter was not as high as that of the Panama Continent, but within twenty-four hours, each of the leaders of the top powerhouse civilizations in the true world came to the same conclusion that the Emperor of Harmony had.

“This is a resource worth waging war for, unfortunately.”

Lord Vakratunda’s tone was resigned. He rested leisurely on his little bench-like throne, popping a modak into his mouth as he read through the emergency digital reports about the presence of negatron matter at the very bottom of the ocean.

Within the great tusk structure at the very epicenter of the Elephant Nation of Minala, the elephant deity of the Gajanan Clan couldn’t help but feel that he had been struck with a stroke of tremendous bad luck.

The operation that he had conducted to kill the Dragon Emperor and protect his continent from war had now yielded an environmental disaster so catastrophic that it opened up the negatron matter within the planet, exposing it to the surface.

It was a resource that would define the future.

The only shortcoming that the civilizations of Gaia were suffering was the lack of practical means of interstellar travel.

Now, they had gotten their hands on the resource that could facilitate it, and the leader of the Gajanan Clan knew that he couldn’t possibly not get his hands on the same resource. The simple fact of the matter was that if he allowed his clan and his people to fall behind, it could become a blunder that would forever make the therianthropes the losers of the future, suffering all that came with being weak in the jungle that was the true world.

Lord Vakratunda understood better than anyone that only the fittest survived. If he wanted to ensure that his civilization remained intact and prosperous in the long term, then he would need to get his hands on a fair share of the negatron matter that was emerging from within the depths of the planet.

Lord Vakratunda wasn’t interested in the truth of where the negatron matter came from or what it was even doing within the planet, completely ignoring all the hypotheses that the scientists and researchers provided. The world was an incomprehensible miracle, as far as he was concerned. Any miracle within it was simply a part of the greater miracle of life and existence.

What troubled him was the fact that they had just assassinated their greatest warrior and warmonger to avoid war, and now those very actions forced them down a path where they would have no choice but to wage war. He had hoped that the defeat of the Dragon Emperor would create an era of peace in Kiriket that would last at least a century, but the consequences of their actions had created the perfect environment for war.

Unlike the Panama Continent, the depths of the Great Void Ocean were not guarded by any one party. There were different international treaties that broadly agreed that the ocean was neutral international waters up until roughly a hundred kilometers from the coastline of each nation.

“There might be a path to go about this without war, however…” His wise eyes closed. “Hopefully… the Emperor of Harmony is open to an alliance and a joint venture into the bottom of the ocean.”

Lord Gajanan had been optimistic about this because of the fact that the Emperor of Harmony was, well, an emperor of harmony, or so his intelligence apparatus had told him. A man whose foreign policy embodied the principle of harmony.

As the leader of the Harmonist Faction, he saw a commonality that could become the basis of cooperation. If not for the fact that the esoteric communication technology of the Panama Continent had only recently been made compatible with that of the true world, he would have long spoken with the Emperor of Harmony to cooperate with each other on a partnership with the true world.

BZZZT

Lord Gajanan shifted to his biotechnological communication terminal as an urgent high-priority notification drew his attention.

“Your Excellency, we have just received an emergency missive from Emperor Rael Di Kandria of the Kandrian Empire, supreme commander of the Panamic Alliance. He wishes to speak with you urgently over a private channel.”

“Hmm…” Lord Vakratunda’s wise eyes lit up with a hint of optimism.

It appeared that his counterpart also had the same thought.

“I accept, connect the call immediately. I don’t wish to delay this with formality and preparation. The situation that we have is too much of an emergency to possibly delay.”

Within minutes, the call was associated.

WHOOSH

A three-dimensional projection of the Emperor of Harmony appeared opposite Lord Vakratunda. Lord Vakratunda’s wise eyes studied the Emperor of Harmony with curiosity as the two leaders momentarily sized each other up.

Lord Vakratunda could immediately tell that the Emperor of Harmony was not a pathwalker despite knowing very little about the Martial Path. The man was a completely normal human being in terms of his personal power. His visage was rather picturesque when discounting the differences in their cultural tastes for attire.

His body was clad in a white-golden robe atop a royal uniform of sorts. His hair was a radiant golden, although it had begun to be touched by white hair around the edges. Not even the extreme resources poured into Emperor Rael’s health and youth could stop him from aging at least a little.

The Royal Crown sat on his head prominently, loudly announcing his status as emperor to all those who beheld him.

“Your Majesty Emperor Rael,” Lord Vakratunda began with a simple but amicable tone. “It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I am Vakratunda, leader of the Gajanan Clan and of the Harmonist Faction. I must say, you don’t share much of a resemblance with your son.”

The Emperor of Harmony smiled with a hint of amusement on his face.

“He takes after his mother, you see.”
