The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2910 Situation in Eiwei

Chapter 2910  Situation in Eiwei

After receiving Forfex's message, Minos wasted no time. Joined by his companions, he set out for Eiwei—a planet whose location he already knew, having previously investigated it as a potential destination in his search for his old friend Forfex.

The locals of the world he was departing from could only watch in silent curiosity as the group vanished into the void. Their emotions were a mix of relief and inquisitiveness, torn between the comfort of seeing such powerful presences leave and a lingering wonder about their ultimate fate.

As the remnants of Devdar's pendant lingered in the air, subtly distorting the world around them, the observers were forced to retreat farther away. Among them, questions began to grow. Would they ever see these figures again? And was their departure truly the best outcome for this world?

On one hand, the absence of such overwhelmingly powerful entities would bring much-needed peace, lifting the stifling pressure that hung over their lives. Yet, at the same time, the presence of such experts often carried unforeseen opportunities—possibilities that now seemed to fade with their departure.

'Perhaps this is for the best,' thought the strongest Supreme of that world with a heavy sigh, watching the dissipating glow of the spatial device used by Minos and his group. His gaze lingered on the remnants of the sphere of light as he mused to himself. 'Still… I can't help but wonder what fate awaits them. Where will such a formidable group end up?'

Turning his attention back to the surrounding onlookers—those shielding themselves from the turbulent spatial ripples unleashed by Minos's device—he drew a long breath before speaking sternly. "Forget what happened here. Erase this event from your minds and forget where they've gone. That is, if you value your lives. For those who don't… well, by all means, let your curiosity get the better of you."

With that, he turned on his heel and strode toward the heart of his own organization, doing his best to suppress the faint, gnawing curiosity within him about what might unfold on Eiwei.

...

Meanwhile, amidst the boundless expanse of space, Minos and his group were propelling themselves through time and space, traversing the vast universe as they made their way toward Eiwei. The journey itself spanned a distance so great that, using conventional spacecraft, it would have taken years to complete. Fortunately, Devdar's device allowed them to significantly shorten their travel time.

Even so, their journey would still take several days.

On the first day, the group ruminated over Forfex—what dangers he might be facing and what awaited them upon arrival. Yet speculation could only take them so far; the information they had was scarce, leaving little room for concrete plans.

For the remainder of that day and the days that followed, silence filled the expanse of their shared space. Each of them turned inward, using the stillness to deepen their studies of time and space amid the journey's extraordinary backdrop.

This universe, with all its complexities and mysteries, was something that cultivators could theoretically master in its entirety. The key lay in energy and understanding. Those with inadequate levels of either would find themselves constrained—unable to uncover the deeper truths within their lifetimes. However, for cultivators who possessed sufficient energy and insight, the universe's secrets would eventually become an open book, revealing the very fabric of reality.

Even those without innate affinities for mastering time and space could still learn about their mysteries and singularities through study and observation.

Minos, his family members, and his highly capable companions understood this truth well. Although Minos was the only one among them who possessed an affinity for time, all his companions on this journey took the opportunity during their free moments to observe and analyze the intricate distortions caused by Devdar's device. It was an opportunity to deepen their understanding, regardless of their natural limitations.

Time seemed to pass swiftly for the group as they immersed themselves in their respective studies. Before they realized it, Minos paused his work and, with a clear, commanding voice, broke the silence.

"We'll be entering Eiwei in one minute. Prepare yourselves. We're arriving on a battlefield." His words resonated through the isolated unit of space encapsulated by the pendant, which acted as a protective bubble, keeping sound and information contained within.

"What's the current situation?" Ruth asked calmly, her dark eyes meeting Minos'.

"Forfex is surrounded. He's under attack," Minos replied firmly. "I don't have all the details yet, but the situation is dire. Ruth, you'll need to focus on treating him while I take care of the attackers."

Ruth nodded seriously, her long black hair shifting slightly as she adjusted her stance. As the only healer among them, the burden of saving Forfex would fall squarely on her shoulders.

"How strong are the opponents?" Segiel interjected.

"High-level Supremes," Minos answered, his expression grim. "And there's one True Celestial manipulating things from the shadows." His eyes narrowed as he spoke, suspicion flickering across his face.

'I can barely see beyond that, but this reeks of something much worse,' he thought, his mind briefly flashing back to Devdar's words when he had been entrusted with this mission. The thought of spotting an Entitled Deity where Forfex was being attacked caught Minos off guard. 'Could this be part of some larger scheme by the Upper Realm?'

Exhaling deeply, Minos pushed the thought aside. Whether this was a trap, a test, or part of some grander cosmic game, his path was set. Devdar had spoken of this mission as a chance to advance to the final stage of his legacy. Minos couldn't afford to hesitate now—he would see this through to the end.

At that moment, the device in Minos's hand flickered, finally losing its signal and becoming dormant. As its light faded rapidly, their surroundings shifted to reveal where the group had arrived.

Unlike their last planetary destination, this time, there were no curious bystanders or passive observers awaiting their arrival. They materialized directly in the chaos of a battlefield. Only the eyes of combatants, momentarily distracted from their frenzied fight, flicked toward the newcomers. The air crackled with tension and energy, and the oppressive auras of those fighting were impossible to ignore.

Amid the carnage, an alien figure, grievously injured and bloodied, stood at the center of the storm. Covered in layers of defensive spells and shields—many cracked and failing—he struggled against the relentless assault of 11 attackers. His voice, strained but defiant, tore through the distance when he saw who had arrived.

"MINOS!"

Forfex's desperate shout boomed across the battlefield, drawing the full focus of Minos and his group. The Divine Dragon rumbled with energy while Minos's companions turned their attention immediately to their beleaguered friend. Without hesitation, Minos signaled to the dragon, Ruth, and Segiel to move forward, instructing them to begin the rescue and treatment of Forfex. Meanwhile, his two wives, Gloria, and Abby, remained by his side, ready to go with him.

But even as they began their action separated, everyone in the group raised their levels under the influence of Minos' powers. Meanwhile, he took on his winged humanoid giant form, becoming the seraph version of himself that he had used so little on his journey so far.

His six radiant, golden wings unfurled and lit up the battlefield, their light pulsing with waves of raw, celestial energy that rippled outward, enveloping the vast combat zone.

All eyes turned to him. He radiated an undeniable authority, the glow of his wings cutting through the chaos, commanding attention even from those locked in combat. His black-gold sword appeared in his hand, its lethal edge humming with power, as he leveled it with precision at the source of the conflict concealed in the distance.

"Come out of hiding, Deity Omus!" Minos declared, his voice booming. "This farce ends here!"

The gravitas in his words sent chills rippling through the spines of the Supremes attacking Forfex. Each of them paused, visibly shaken. Cold sweat beaded on their brows as they felt something terrifying: the aura of a True Celestial emanating from a mere level 123 Supreme. It was impossible, yet undeniable.

For a moment, the world seemed to freeze in stunned silence. Then, like the shattering of glass, a long, mocking laugh echoed across the heavens and earth, reverberating through the battlefield. Everyone's attention was drawn upwards toward the source—a presence in the sky, radiating a potent, malevolent energy.

"Hahaha! You truly are a remarkable seer, dear Minos," a deep, mocking voice echoed through the battlefield as the surrounding air shifted. From the void above, a blond man materialized, floating effortlessly a few dozen meters in the sky, directly above where Minos and his companions stood.

His predatory gaze fixated on Minos, as if savoring the moment. A debauched smile spread across his humanoid face, his sharp features illuminated faintly by the golden glow radiating from Minos's seraphic form. Arms crossed, he looked almost relaxed, inscrutably confident, as though amusing himself with a future only he could foresee.

Pausing deliberately, the man tilted his head with feigned curiosity, waiting as though for a response he didn't actually expect. Then, with a smirk that betrayed sadistic intent, he finally spoke.

"In the meantime," he drawled, his voice eerily calm yet laced with venom, "I wonder if you can see more of our future together. What do you think about this idea? Picture me tearing off your arms and legs… one at a time. Then, perhaps, I'll take you as my little guinea pig. Doesn't that sound… fun?"

As his words lingered in the tense air, monstrous, gigantic shapes flickered into existence behind him, like shadows taking form within the fabric of space itself. Their sheer size and the oppressive energy radiating from these entities caused the atmosphere to grow heavier, making even the most battle-hardened beings in the vicinity instinctively stiffen.

Minos met the man's taunting tone with unflinching resolve. His golden eyes narrowed slightly as he studied his opponent. This was Omus—a level 127 True Celestial. But Omus wasn't just powerful. His presence pulsed with the weight of cultivated millennia and the fearsome experience of someone deeply entrenched in the dynamics of the Upper Realm. This was no amateur like Eternal Death, who had just ascended. No, Omus was an entirely different kind of threat, a seasoned juggernaut from the highest arenas of power.

Still, Minos remained composed, his demeanor steady despite the otherworldly force before him. Omus might be formidable, but Minos wouldn't be cowed simply because he understood the magnitude of the challenge.

"Omus," Minos said calmly, though his commanding tone carried a weight that resonated through the battlefield, causing even the faintest echoes of sound to still. "I'll give you this one opportunity. Retreat."

Minos's wings flared slightly, casting an imposing golden glow across the area. The black-gold sword in his hand gleamed ominously, its surface crackling quietly with energy that only grew more dangerous with each passing second.

"I don't know what you're scheming," he continued, his voice steady, unwavering, "nor do I involve myself in the disputes of the Upper Realm. But mark my words: if you choose to remain here and escalate this battle, there will be no future for you in this realm or any other."

Minos's golden eyes locked with Omus', and his voice dropped to a tone thick with an oath of fury. "If you don't take this chance to leave, I'll tear the heart from your chest and offer it to the guardians of the Hell as tribute. Your soul will not linger. I will ensure its utter annihilation, extinguished forever from the great reality."

Even as Minos delivered his ultimatum, the battlefield visibly reacted to his words. A crackling bolt of black and gold lightning slashed through the darkened sky above, illuminating the heavens with dazzling intensity. The searing heat that followed swept across the surrounding space in a wave, raising the temperature dramatically and suffocating the area with unbearable pressure.

Those below level 124, even experienced warriors, trembled as the overwhelming heat pressed down upon them. The weaker among them struggled to even breathe, as Minos's mere presence seemed to reshape the local reality!
