Chapter 2958: A Mummy Capable of Turning the Realm Upside Down III
Chapter 2958: A Mummy Capable of Turning the Realm Upside Down III
The enemy Minos was targeting was powerful.
To say that he was as strong as the third strongest in the Upper Realm would not be an exaggeration!
This was so true that all of Minos' allies were psychologically devastated by the display of power from this being trying to defend himself, exhibiting a capacity that only Lydis, among the most well-known entities in the realm, could surpass with certainty.
Minos was strong, but few knew his true power. Even watching this incident unfold, some of his allies did not have much faith in their leader to defeat not just one, but two creatures as strong as those.
The enemy himself inside the coffin floating nearby did not seem to believe in the defeat of his envoys. He remained motionless, waiting for the result of Minos' strongest move yet, when the level 126 dragon acted against not just one, but both enemies around him.
Many black holes appeared and disappeared around that space. Meanwhile, Minos changed his position in a completely different way from earlier, not relying even a little on his divine abilities.
Using the arts he had developed from scratch to the point where they had become as refined and powerful as divine abilities, Minos undermined the defenses of one of his opponents while eroding the cultivation of the other with his Devouring Art.
His prophetic ability couldn't reveal much of the future of beings as strong as those, but he sensed their reactions seconds before even his own move that would generate such reactions.
Then, his golden glow faded, replaced by a darkness that took over not only his body, but the entire underwater area.
Allies and enemies alike felt the light dim along with a sudden drop in water temperature.
At that moment, a black hole moved against one of the enemies like a giant bowling ball, completely devoid of light and so fast that it seemed to teleport in its path.
Minos attacked the enemy closest to him physically, advancing with his large dragon mouth open, while silver flames shot toward his nearest opponent.
Both enemies paid attention only to the physical components of Minos' two attacks, shocked by the power of the Celestial King's successor, but confident that they could withstand it. They just didn't count on the mental attack that came from Minos before even the two physical attacks hit them.
The level 126 enemies were hit squarely by a mental blow; their minds thrown into chaos as they entered a dark hell.
They were powerful, but in Minos' mental illusion, he was the all-powerful being, while they were mere ants, awaiting the judgment of their god!
To the two of them, Minos, at that moment, was like an absolute giant, looking down on them peculiarly as he decided their fates.
'Your bodies will now nourish my domains!' Minos transmitted this thought to the minds of the two before closing one of his hands, crushing the unfortunate creatures.
Both enemies lost their strength in their defenses, their minds falling as their bodies became susceptible to Minos' physical attacks.
The silver flames and black hole struck their respective targets without mercy, consuming them so quickly that anyone who had blinked at that moment would have missed what happened!
Minos kept his eyes on his enemies as he watched them disappear not only physically, but also spiritually. But the entire time, he never lost his attention from the coffin floating not far away, not even slightly relaxed by his circumstances.
Devdar and the others watched the end of the two strongest creatures they had ever seen after Minos and Lydis with their mouths and eyes wide open, barely believing everything they had seen.
One of the enemies had simply been consumed by the black hole, leaving nothing behind, not even storage items or a final magical fluctuation. The being devoured by flames had its physical structure transformed into dust, returning to the most basic origin of all.
Neither of them uttered a sound of lament. There was no time. In an instant, both were fighting for their lives and then were mentally ruined before being struck down without mercy.
Even the being in the coffin did not move, nor did it emit any sound as it witnessed the demise of its two subordinates. Its reaction would only come seconds after the end of the two level 126 Celestials.
Minos didn't wait for a response from the being in the coffin. He gave the final signal to his allies and then turned to leave, swimming at full speed, not even looking back.
'This will give you a chance to escape and continue with our plans,' Minos thought as he was already a great distance from his domain, determined to follow a different path from Mylecent.
Mylecent had led his entire alliance into the mud, making them targets and forcing each of his companions to hide and live in danger.
Minos didn't want something like that for his group!
Only he needed to go through these unfavorable circumstances!
Devdar and the others already knew what they had to do and didn't try to follow Minos. They tried to control their hearts, turning their attention to the many unconscious members of the alliance in the surrounding area.
Devdar looked at the coffin as it moved slowly, and thought tensely. 'I hope he doesn't come after us... Some of our companions must have left the area before the voice of that thing brought the city down. '
He looked toward the city, where countless creatures now lay scattered everywhere, unconscious from the voice of the being inside that coffin.
The other Entitled Deities still standing with Devdar shared the same concerns as this man, fearing they had no chance. They avoided looking toward the coffin as they waited silently to see if Minos had struck again.
If he had been wrong, then this would be the end for all of them!
Then, amid the tension of the few who remained behind, the lid of the coffin shook, and then a powerful laugh erupted from it.
"How unexpected. You've actually gone far in developing these mortal powers..." said the creature inside the coffin, as the lid of the urn opened, and a withered, gray, but very large hand appeared in one corner of the opening.
The mummy's body inside, however, never left its urn.
With only one hand outside, the creature cracked its fingers, causing a stream of five colors to appear on its fingers, while all the darkness brought to that area by Minos lost ground.
Beams of five colors destroyed all the surrounding darkness, while the waters of the realm began to shake violently, their temperature rising considerably.
A colored lightning bolt shot out from the fingers of that hand, crossing the space in the same direction Minos had fled.
"I'll let you live a little longer. The next time we meet, I'll take your dead body with me," said the mummy before sealing himself back into his coffin.
Devdar and the others felt that something very wrong had just happened, as they trembled uncontrollably, even feeling their thrones hesitate to continue showing themselves to the world in front of that existence.
The mummy's action seemed to have been nothing more than his words. But seconds later, a painful roar came from afar, making the few standing in this city understand the end of this confrontation.
"Aaaaaagh!" Minos' scream spread as far as it could, reverberating through the dimension, warning almost the entire domain of his sad situation.
Devdar and the others couldn't see Minos at that moment, but their leader's scream made them shiver, imagining how he must be after the enemy's mysterious blow.
The coffin shook and a few more words terrified the surroundings. "I will leave my mark of damnation on you. We will meet again soon, rookie!"
The coffin disappeared, while somewhere thousands and thousands of miles away, Minos plummeted into an underwater valley, his body wounded from head to toe, bleeding from every orifice, his eyes white, marking his unconsciousness.
He hit hard against a white rock on the sea floor, unconscious, extremely wounded, and defenseless.
For the first time in his life, he was totally unable to defend himself, at the mercy of others' decisions about his survival!
In this situation, he felt nothing but pain, immersed in a sea of flames and agony, while a black, triangle-shaped mark grew on the only part of his skin that was intact at that moment.
