The rise of the pervert primordial

Chapter 661 - 661: Is chaos better than order? (part 16)

The sudden appearance of such a large amount of water, took those four by surprise as their angered expressions suggested, one must understand that unlike fire which expands to affect large areas with ease, water doesn’t work that way.

To propagate a large amount of concentrated water, a large amount of spirit energy is needed, since propagation isn’t water’s specialty, of course if we were talking about other elements derived from water, like mist which has a higher propagation property than normal water, then the situation would be different.

But creating a fierce current of water like the one that was about to drown the four enemies, required way more effort than the pilar of fire they used against the blue haired girl which they were facing.

“Hurry up and use Blaze Release!”, the captain was quick to react once again, the very moment he gave his order, his body exploded in dark blue flames that violently clashed against the incoming water tsunami.

“Hssssss!”, the result was a loud sizzling sound due to Nerissa’s tsunami and the flames released by the captain, unfortunately the quantity of flames he could release in such a short period of time, fell behind way too much when compared to the giant wave that the blue haired girl had manifested.

That and even the vice-captain was a tad too slow to react, so he alongside the other two subordinates were engulfed by the tsunami that expanded in every direction.

“Damn it!”, the captain cursed as he proposed to flash towards the vice, with that guy’s help, getting rid of the tsunami would take less time and less fire than just him alone, that was the disparity between the amount of his element which he could gather in a short period of time when compared to Nerissa.

“Did you guys really expected to be able to overwhelm me in an elemental clash with this lame fire alone, it seems like you forgot who is the main energy path cultivator here”.

Nerissa’s calm voice could be heard coming from all over the area, it was impossible to pinpoint her exact location, which combined with the fact that the moment the captain tried to move the pressure that the water was exerting against him in every direction, directly increased.

“Cough!”, a few coughing sounds followed as the vice-captain and the other two guys managed to emerge from the water, their bodies were completely soaked, as a sign that their fire was totally overwhelmed, unlike the captain who managed to keep himself dry, though he was still held down by Nerissa’s tsunami.

“And even more importantly, how dare you use the word “wave” in front of me”, listening to Nerissa’s voice, the captain looked in every direction only to see in anger how she silently emerged from the tsunami, behind the undulated sword user.

“Watch out, Riman!”, the captain shouted as fast as his mouth allowed him to, the vice who and the one-armed rapier guy all turned to see their teammate, just to see Nerissa slashing with her hands at the neck of the undulated sword user.

“Hel…”, the previous couldn’t even finish asking for help before his head was cleanly cut from his body by a half moon wave of water which was released by Nerissa when she beckoned earlier, he was killed on the spot.

“Blaze Release!”, three voices shouted in unison, the result were three pillars of fire that expanded from within the small-scale river that has been created by the blue haired Nerissa.

“Hssssss!”, with the three of them using a spirit technique at the same time, even with small preparation, this time they did manage to counter Nerissa’s tsunami, evaporating it in a matter of seconds.

Once the water was gone, what welcomed those three was the sight of Nerissa casually taking the spatial ring out of the headless corpse of the undulated sword user, to then keep it in her pocket.

Her action resulted in a “clinking” sound, which was produced by the newest ring entering in contact with the one from the cousin of the captain, which made the latter grit his teeth.

Now imagine their expressions when Nerissa casually added.

“For a branch who proudly claims to be the origin of “Redheart” family, you guys are quite disappointing, preparation, spirit technique or not, my water has never been able to make Iris’s flames retreat a single step past sixty percent of the battlefield where we clash, the same applies for her though”.

The captain directly saw red, unlike the other two who were still alive, his flames hadn’t died out alongside the enemy’s tsunami, so he wanted to use the leftovers to directly start the next round, however the vice-captain interrupted him.

‘She is provoking us, don’t fall for it’, he said in a voice that both the captain and his cousin could hear, this was a common trouble with fire attributed cultivators, they tend to have a rather “explosive” personality.

That being said, those with higher talent have it easier to control themselves, it takes more for them to lose it and the captain is like that, but on the other hand the blue haired girl has been getting on his nerves since before the fight started.

In case you wonder why the vice and the other guy didn’t lose it like him, that’s because they had started to feel afraid for their lives, since they were nearly dragged to the bottom by the fierce currents within the tsunami earlier, so they didn’t dare to look down on Nerissa’s water anymore.

‘Sorry I lost it for a second there… you are right, she surpassed my soul enhanced spirit sense as well as my battle instincts combined a moment ago’, said the captain.

The reason as to why the captain was able to save his cousin, is that besides his keen battle instincts, which all of his team has due to them being main body path cultivators, he can use soul enhancement on his spirit sense.

And yet, this time he was unable to react in time to help the undulated sword guy, in other words, the blue haired girl could either move fast enough to bypass his senses within water or she had a stealth movement type technique, whichever the case, if the captain rushed at her, like he was about to, the one to suffer would have been him.

“Honestly, I’m not especially interested in your sword intents since you aren’t even Bladehearts, I simply wanted to see what the “talented” members of the supposedly main branch of the family who has treated my rival like trash for so many years, could do when going all out, so I’ll say it again, use your intents or… die”, said Nerissa with a sharp light flashing in her eyes.

The captain snorted as he contemplated things for a second to then speak with his remaining teammates.

‘If you two can get me some time, I can assure our victory, it won’t be as refined as it was supposed to be, but at this point it’s our best option as of current, besides fleeing of course’, he said.

The vice-captain remained silent for a second, unlike himself and even the cousin of the captain, the captain himself was indeed considered outstanding, he was just behind the talented direct descendants of the Blazeheart family, since he came from a secondary branch subordinated directly to the one from which those two who were related to Iris’s other cousin came.

In case you wonder why the vice-captain thought about that, it’s because given the captain’s talent and background, he had a couple of tricks up his sleeve, among which there was probably a life-saving treasure that could be used for more than one person.

‘How much time?’, asked the vice-captain, he didn’t doubt that if the captain were to use said treasure, the priority would be the one-armed guy instead of him, even if they were comrades in arms that were about to join the Supreme Elemental sect as a group.

‘A minute will be enough, she wants to see our intents so use that to gain time, I can assure you it will work, since even if temporary I’ll stand on equal with “them” and be just behind of “her”, which is why I received this privilege’, answered the captain.

The vice-captain immediately nodded, feeling reassured by the captain’s words, if what he said was true then, this was the better shot they had, the one-armed guy also nodded and then they both exploded in flames.

“Finally”, Nerisa’s gaze sharpened again as she saw the intent which was now cladding the swords of the enemies, that being said she couldn’t help but look at those two with disdain.

The vice-captain had reached the peak of the first level, while the one-armed guy was at the middle stage of the first level, which though at middle grade Stellar Systems would be considered good, at the high-grade ones they would be barely above average, considering their ages and realms.

“Well, unlike your most recent advances, I do admit that your intents don’t appear to have been influenced by resources, as they look rather solid, but are you telling me you guys are the main family within the Redheart with mere first level intent at your age?”, said the blue haired Nerissa.

“I can’t stand this bitch anymore, Blazing Sword!”, the one-armed guy pointed his rapier at Nerissa, then all the flames that were enveloping his body were actually condensed at his sword, the result was different than just adding your attribute or element to your spirit weapon.

Which indeed caught Nerissa’s attention, from what she could tell, the technique they were using combined intent, element and soul energy to balance the mix, creating an amplification effect.

“Heh, so you can see it, the magnificence of the an advanced technique exclusive to the direct lineage of the Redheart, this is the reason of why as you said our intents are of “low level”, because if we didn’t make sure they are solid enough, then we wouldn’t be able to combine it with our talent which is elemental manipulation”, said the vice-captain as he also coated his one edged sword which was cladded in intent with his light blue flames.

Nerissa frowned, she had to admit that the principle behind the technique they were using was indeed something, in a rough calculation, she concluded that the vice-captain’s sword could now cause destruction on equal with a proper early stage second level intent cladded one, while the one-armed guy could cause peak first level intent damage, in other words it was a boost of a minor stage.

Which might not sound as much for them, however what would happen if the one using such a technique had peak second level intent for example, perhaps this boost isn’t the same as the real deal but at the very least, she thought that by doing so one could reach half step into the third level.

“And this is just the surface, if “she” was here, you’ll see the real might of Blazing Sword, but this is more than what a nobody like you deserves”, added the one-armed guy.

Knowing that they couldn’t gain even an extra second without taking action, since water spirit energy had started to appear around Nerissa, those two’s legs exploded in flames, it’s worth mentioning that they could barely produce more flames, besides the ones that were coating their weapons, meaning that almost all their whole elemental manipulation capacities were being used for that.

“Blazing Trail!”, with a shout in unison, those two flashed leaving behind a path of flames, appearing at both sides of Nerissa to then attack her with their swords.

Surprisingly, their intent and flame coated swords actually evaporated and cut through the water and spirit energy that was surrounding the blue haired girl, upon contact, unlike before, their attacks were fierce enough to directly clash against her, or at least that’s what they thought as the confident smiles that appeared on their faces, suggested.

The vice-captain slashed at Nerissa, just as his sword type suggested, he used a slashing attack with a wide area of effect, the one-armed guy on the other hand thrusted his rapier a dozen of times in a second, producing an equal number of piercing dark orange lights.

“Booom!”, the moment their attacks left their swords, a loud shockwave echoed through the battlefield, followed by an explosion of flames that engulfed everything in the vicinity, without using any spirit technique, their slash and thrusts, produced quite a strong attack, respectively.

But then, the explosion was interrupted and the flames dispelled to reveal a perfectly fine Nerissa who had a two-meter-thick cube of water at her left and a three-meter tall six-meter-long water wall at her right.

The water cube had small tubular holes that went almost a meter into it, while the water wall had a diagonal line of around thirty centimeters of deepness, which went from its upper right corner to the bottom left one.

“No fucking way!”, exclaimed the one-armed guy, he refused to believe that the blue haired woman in front of him, could block the current epitome of his martial prowess with just her spirit energy and attribute.

“Again!”, the vice on the other hand as shocked as he felt, immediately shouted and charged at Nerissa, since he could see the wall and cube of water fixing themselves, the one-armed guy gritted his teeth and followed as well.

“Boooom!”, the result were continuous explosions of fire and water as well as thunder-like shockwaves being continuously produced as those two flashed around Nerissa to attack her from all the angles and sides.

Just for their attacks to be blocked by the same water wall and cube as earlier, their swords couldn’t bypass the dense water of which they were conformed and their flames were extinguished before they reached Nerissa, though they didn’t disappear from their swords.

“Damn it, damn it, why, why aren’t you dying!”, shouted the one-armed guy as he saw his rapier which aimed at Nerissa’s neck, be blocked once again, but then the calm voice of the vice-captain returned him to the real world.

“It’s a damn treasure, that skirt and her blouse produce a strange vibe, I can’t discern what its effect might be, but considering she isn’t using her sword, then it must be one of those damn expensive treasures that reduce the impact taken by other people’s intent, not to mention she is not suffering from the physical impact either”.

The words of the captain, made the one-armed guy’s mouth open in awe, such a thing was something that even the direct descendants of the Redheart family could only dream about.

“What “the Lightning Amethyst family isn’t involved at all”, damn those guys, if this isn’t being supported then what the hell is it”, said the one-armed guy before he realized he had spoke more than what he should have in the heat of the moment.

It was justified though, giving a defensive treasure of that caliber to a member of the young generation that doesn’t hold the status of an heir to some really important position, could only realistically be afforded by first tier high level forces… like the Lightning Amethyst branch of the Fey family for example.

And very much to that guy’s misfortune, those words made Nerissa’s pretty face frown a bit, since the name of the Lightning Amethyst family was mentioned and there was “those guys” too which she could more or less imagine who they were considering her personal circumstances.

The aura around Nerissa took a sudden change, from her calm yet fierce self to a much more violent feeling, which made Aster’s eyes glow with interest.

‘Back at our date we have some serious clashes but it was all without the intention to kill, except for a split of a second when she was feeling utterly frustrated of not being able to pierce the golden armor…’, he thought.

Aster wasn’t the only one whose attention was drawn due to the sudden change in Nerissa’s aura, the vice and the one-armed guy felt their backs drench in cold sweat on the spot.

They couldn’t understand how did a “mere” water attributed cultivator was producing such an intimidating effect on them, who are used to the fierceness of the fire element, luckily for them they had no need to delve into it.

“Thanks for the waiting”, the captain appeared above Nerissa, his body was surrounded by dark blue flames as he shouted.

“Blazing Glory!”, contrary to what one would expect from the name of the technique he shouted, the effect wasn’t that flashy, the flames around him didn’t increase nor violently explode, instead they were completely absorbed into his body, which then produced an arm sized flame.

However, unlike the previous one large sized flame, these ones were light purple toned instead of dark blue ones, there was no time to think about it though, since said purple flames coated the heavy sword of the captain as he directly went onto the offensive.

Three fire streams aimed at Nerissa from different directions, but just as the captain could already imagine the burned image of the enemy, his expression soured.

“Clang!”, his heavy sword was blocked by… a heavy sword?

Under the disbelief of the captain, a blue toned heavy sword that appeared out of nowhere, was blocking his descending attack, what’s more the blue haired girl who was holding it with just one hand as the other was busy manipulating water to block the swords of the vice-captain and the one-armed guy, didn’t move at all after blocking their three attacks.

“Weren’t you a damn one hand long sword user!”, exclaimed the captain as he pushed downwards producing a clash between his purple flames and the royal blue water enveloping the enemy’s heavy sword, only for Nerissa to smirk a she said.

“I am”, such a blatant lie made the captain grit his teeth, until after a closer inspection he saw that there were two different tones of blue in the “heavy sword” that was blocking his, he took a breath of cold air as he realized what happened.

Nerissa was indeed using a one-handed long sword as they were told, however the water and water spirit energy that were coating it, made it take the shape of a heavy sword!

The integration was so smooth that it was incredibly hard to notice at first hand, had it not been for the different blue tones, cause by the blue jade color of her sword and the royal blue tone of her water and spirit energy, the captain wouldn’t have realized it so soon.

Amusingly enough, her sword now had two different tones of blue on it, just like that pretty hair of hers.

What drove even the captain towards insanity was the fact that even his intent which was at the early stage of the second level naturally, but had actually reached strength equal to just a bit below the peak stage of the second level, thanks to both the usage of both Blazing Glory and Blazing Sword, was blocked.

‘That damn defensive treasure!’, he inwardly cursed as he glared at Nerissa’s skirt and blouse, to then say.

“Humph, let’s see how many times can you use that damn thing before drying your spirit energy reserves!”.

The captain refused to believe that Nerissa had energy reserves big enough to equal a Genesis Manifestation realm energy cultivator, no matter how shocking was for her to manifest a tsunami out of nowhere before or how talented she might be in the energy path.

To continuously power a defensive treasure with such an incredible effect, she must be consuming an insane amount of spirit energy for someone at the Earthly realms, meaning that she should at most be able to use such a cheating effect a couple of times before ending up depleting her reserves and it was then when they would finish their mission.

‘Don’t let her recover, I still have five minutes of second level flame manipulation, we will win this!’, shouted the captain at those two who nodded to then charge at Nerissa.
