But she lost to Kana’s cutely worried face, when she imagined Mira out in the open exposed to the cold air that had started to blow at night, and so the cold on the outside but warm on the inside ligress, couldn’t refuse the invitation to sleep in the cabin log.

Why, well, chamomile is good for digestion and can prevent people from getting upset stomachs, it’s especially good after having eaten heavy food, like the wild meat they will be eating for the whole week.

“Don’t look at me like that, unlike some cuties I know, they don’t get to stay close enough to me for long periods of time, so they have to worry about minor ailments like those”, jokingly said Aster as he pecked Sarina’s right cheek, making the latter chuckle.

“I can’t argue against that I guess~”, she said while giggling, luckily preparing chamomile tea didn’t need much preparation, it could be done in twenty minutes or so, and a single cup was enough for each girl, so one large pot should be enough, also it’s not like Sarina was going to do it alone, Kana, Aria, the little wyrm and surprisingly Alice accompanied her to help with the tea.

“Lieze, are you not going to join, I feel sorry about having you covered in leaves and sap earlier”, said Nerissa to the top core disciple from the White Sword as she entered the cabin log with Valentina, Lieze was the last one remaining at the table set up by Aster earlier.

“Yeah, I wanted to apologize for that too”, added the red-haired Iris with an apologetic voice.

‘This does still feel a bit strange but I guess I’ll tag along’, she thought as she said.

“Coming”, even Lieze who used to have put a wall between herself and other people, had opened up, maybe not to Aster, but she seemed to be in friendlier terms with Nerissa and Iris now, which is for the good considering those three are the top three core disciples from the battle peak.

While those girls enjoyed their bath and Sarina and the others called the disciples to have a nice cup of tea before going to sleep, Aster walked towards the area where the skins were hanged to dry, they were perfectly fine and there was no foul smell in the air, James had done a good job cleaning and washing them earlier.

But of course, they still had a wild smell to them, since they still had to be processed, so of course Aster wasn’t going to take them inside the log cabin where he and a bunch of girls will be sleeping.

“Mm, we’ll take care of it, good night senior brother~”, said a girl from the Green Lotus as she happily took a sip of her tea, all the girls now knew that Aster obtained chamomile for their sake, so they were all smiles, courtesy of a certain little girl telling them as she helped pour the tea in the cups.

“Good night”, with a slight smile, Aster went to the cabin log, Sarina had already finished with the tea and the girls said that they would take care of washing their cups and the pot, so she and the others were already waiting for him.

Needless to say, but the moment Aster set foot inside the cabin log he was met with Valentina and the others, who had made improvised beds with a bunch of blankets in the open area of the storage, there was barely more than one hour left until the curfew that was set by Aster and the girls in charge, so Aster “stole” Camila away from Eris and Mylene who were still teasing her, and then said his farewell.

“Whatever, now, I seem to remember someone saying that good helpful girls will be rewarded so…”, Alice’s eyes were sparkling as she hugged Aster’s right arm, only for her to be met with rejection.

“Yes, but not today”, one could see Alices hopes and dreams crashing down the moment she heard that, but before she could complain Aster gave her a soft peck to then say.

“During the day the flaming board was constantly making “rounds” to supervise us, it even went into the cabin log a couple of times”.

“Is it trying to spy on us?”, asked Aria with a frown, to which Aster shook his head.

“I don’t think so, its focus were the materials stored inside here, it was probably verifying that we weren’t breaking the rules, because it even followed us when I checked the bathroom, but left as soon as it finished its verification”, he said.

While chuckling at Alice, Aster and the others entered the bathroom, and while Camila waited for them to come out with a blushed face, since she could hear the giggles coming from the bathroom, before they came out and accommodated on the bed.

There was one girl less, since Lilia didn’t come, so the treasure girl was lucky and got to sleep on top of Aster, nestling on his chest, because Sarina and Kana held onto Aster’s right arm and right side, respectively, while Alice and Aria took the left side.

As for the little wyrm, she cutely coiled and acted as a pillow for Aster, because her body was too large for her to not interfere in the other girl’s embrace.

“I see, that means a lot of girls will be having even sweeter “dreams” tonight”, jokingly said Aster, which made Alice’s eyes open up on the spot, the lazy wild dragon princess actually took the initiative to kiss Aster instead of being “woken up” by him, and then jumped out of the bed.

“Where are you going?”, asked Aster as he followed the morning kiss ritual with Aria, who cutely returned the kiss to Aster, to which Alice said.

“I’m going to be cutting up wood to make walls for this place, come ice princess, let’s work for a happy night life!”, exclaimed Alice as she grabbed Aria by her right ankle and dragged her out of the bed, making the ice princess fall to the ground, to then kick Alice so that she would let go.

“That hurt you, crazy fool”, said Aria, that being said she followed her sister towards the bathroom, they had to wash their faces and take care of other things before leaving the room, in fact all the girls had to, so Aster hurried to finish waking both the little girl and little wyrm as well as Sarina, to then leave the room to give them some privacy.

Also, Aster had to go outside the room to retrieve something he asked the girls on night watch to prepare a few hours before the time which he had set for everyone, besides those on night watch to wake up.

“Good morning, ladies, how was it, did you have a good rest?”, asked Aster as he came out of the room, a few girls were completely awake and were just resting on their improvised beds, like the ligress girl Mira who outright ignored Aster’s question, though she still greeted him.

“Good morning”, she mumbled, it was another girl the one who answered, a blond haired one with blue eyes to be more accurate.

“Mm, it’s not as good as before, but I do still feel quite refreshed, despite this being the first time I have spent so many hours without spirit energy circulating in my body”, said Agnes as she stretched her toned body, she is used to waking up early because she has a morning routine of exercise, though this time she only warmed up a bit because she was planning to go with the exploration team today.

She didn’t want anyone to take up her role as Aster’s “overseer” after all, also Mylene was staying at the camp this time, because she had a lot of work to do with the girls from the Purple and Orange Lotus factions, it was not a problem because Vivian was going in her stead.

“Here, using mint tea to keep ourselves clean was a good idea”, said Valentina, whose breath had a fresh scent.

At this point Aster had more or less understood why some things were available in the exchange monolith and others weren’t, for example and very much for the happiness of the girls from the sect, soap was available, but toothpaste and toothbrushes weren’t.

The reason is probably because replacements for the latter were not hard to make, mint has menthol which has antiseptic properties meaning that it prevents the formation of germs and thus keeps a nice fresh breath.

And it didn’t need much process, they just made mint tea and let it cool for a few hours to then use it as mouth wash, simple yet effective, in comparison even the simpler replacement for soap requires one to use fat and ashes, before being processes and the result won’t be the good smelling soap people know about, for a daily necessity needed to help cultivators who are used to not be as tidy as mortals, to maintain a good hygiene, it was too much, so the flaming board allowed them to simply use merits to have the basic hygiene set up.

“I’ll leave the mint mouth wash here”, said Aster before leaving the room again, Sarina wasn’t preparing the breakfast, because breakfast for everyone were twenty pieces of dried fish and three fruits, which they could take from their respective storing places.

Luckily, there was no shortage of food and though the girls of the sect are little gluttons, they aren’t selfish, so they didn’t need to be supervised to see if they were only taking their respective share, the pantry was open for them.

“Blacksmiths, gather here”, said Aster as he took out a pile of wood pieces from the storage to then buy a metal barrel and a shovel from the exchange monolith, which also allowed Aster to learn what was the benefit Rya was talking about earlier.

‘How convenient, I guess the reward is indeed tailored depending on one’s actions’, thought Aster, to then turn to see the girls who had gathered around him in a matter of seconds.

“I’ll show you how to make charcoal with the wood you cut and dried up yesterday, if you follow the process properly, it will be ready in a few hours, so by the time I’m back, we’ll be ready to use it for the forging lesson you wanted”, he said, which only made those girl’s eyes shine more than before.
