Chapter 1154: 200: Exposed

Chapter 1154: Chapter 200: Exposed

A few days later, a group of new faces appeared at the school.

The leader was dressed in dark red armor, bristling with spikes, even the helmet was extremely sharp, with a pair of horns, resembling an Abyss Demon.

His appearance drew quite a bit of attention, and the children at the school were filled with curiosity, though some were a bit afraid.

Even though they had seen many strange people these days, like Montis who also looked very fierce, there was still quite a difference compared to the person before them.

Montis walked over, Xu Mo quietly following behind him. Upon seeing the figure, Xu Mo immediately recognized who it was; in Moluo’s memory, there was a recollection of the person, albeit not much, yet still recognizable.

The leader of the Abyss Corps’ twelve generals, Satan, hailed as the Abyss Demon, a figure of extreme terror.

Even an Abyss General like Montis held a sense of reverence toward Satan.

“Satan,” Montis called out.

Satan nodded and continued walking forward, with Montis close behind.

“I’m going outside to take a look,” Xu Mo said.

“Go ahead,” Montis nodded, and Xu Mo took the opportunity to leave, heading outside the school to observe the surroundings.

The situation was getting increasingly tense; even the leader of the twelve Abyss Generals, Satan, had arrived here, indicating that there might be a major upheaval in this area.

The Universe’s major forces had been present in Dark Star for some time already, and naturally, there were some clues by now, possibly pointing to this area.

It was unclear whether they were here because of the Abyss leading figures or if Gaia might also be in the vicinity.

At that moment, two figures approached from afar, it was Wu Lai and Asaka.

Now Xu Mo realized that failing to warn them would be unacceptable; otherwise, trouble might ensue.

“Wu Lai, Asaka.” A voice appeared directly in their minds: “I’m Xu Mo’s man, don’t reveal anything, act natural, everything as usual.”

Xu Mo didn’t want others to know he could control people, this secret was crucial, directly linked to Heath O’Brian’s death, thus unless absolutely necessary, Xu Mo didn’t want to expose Moluo.

But Xu Mo couldn’t stand by and watch the two walk to their deaths.

Now, not only Montis was inside, but also the Abyss Demon Satan and others, making uninformed individuals likely to perish if careless.

Wu Lai and Asaka’s hearts trembled upon hearing Xu Mo’s words, pausing for a moment, but then continued forward as instructed, acting as if everything were normal.

“This is a crucial Abyss stronghold, the Abyss King may be here, Satan, Montis and the others are inside the school, but the Abyss does not permit fighting here, hence you haven’t encountered danger. Now, outsiders are gradually arriving here, report back to the Mystic God Temple after seeing Shava, but don’t act rashly, Abyss has always been prepared, besides, this was discovered by yourselves, unrelated to Xu Mo.”

The two nodded subtly, understanding Moluo’s intentions, they continued walking past Moluo’s side, as if nothing had happened.

Xu Mo felt that his identity might also be at risk, needing to find an opportunity to withdraw.

After entering, Wu Lai and Asaka did not wander around, after visiting Shava and chatting briefly, they left.

However, the two did not feel assured; if the Abyss King indeed was in the school, then where had they sent Shava?

Thinking of this, they furrowed their brows, and after departing, began to speedily return to rendezvous with Avery, notifying the Mystic God Temple.

The school, everything seemed normal.

Everywhere was filled with laughter, children attending classes, listening to lectures.

As if nothing had happened, yet in the shadows, hidden currents were stirring.

Montis had been arranging something these past few days, Xu Mo knew the Abyss was getting prepared, with their strong personnel likely gathering here.

This area had already woven into a large net, once the Universe’s forces arrived, a great battle might ensue.

“General.” In class, Xu Mo called out.

“Hmm?” Montis looked at him.

“Things seem to be getting more unusual lately, are we all ready?” Moluo asked.

“Since when did you become so observant?” Montis looked at Xu Mo, saying: “This isn’t something you should worry about.”

“General.” Xu Mo leaned closer to Montis, asking in a low voice: “Who exactly is this Gaia they’re searching for?”

He wanted to probe Montis.

“A figure from the Old Empire, why are you asking this?” Montis frowned.

“Curiosity.” Xu Mo asked obsequiously, “General, is this Gaia so capable? To have the Universe’s forces all searching for him?”

“Keep your curiosity in check.” Montis glared at him.

“I heard that Mr. Gaia will assist our king in ruling the Universe, hoping that day arrives soon.” Xu Mo showed a look of anticipation and asked, “General, is Mr. Gaia here?”

Montis’s gaze suddenly turned sharp, piercing toward Xu Mo.

“I spoke out of turn.” Xu Mo immediately lowered his head, speaking fearfully, his voice even slightly trembling.

Meanwhile, he observed the middle-aged teacher at the podium quietly sitting there reading with no reaction whatsoever.

Xu Mo had been pondering a question these days; the identity of the white-clothed youth was special, could he be the Abyss King?

Even if not, he must be a close associate of the Abyss King, if so, could Gaia also be within the school?

If Gaia was here, who would he be?

The white-haired man showed great respect to the teacher. Could it be him? Although he looks nothing like Gaia in the photos, and his age differs, technology is so advanced, and Gaia himself is a powerful figure. Changing his appearance wouldn’t be impossible.

Furthermore, he was pondering another question.

The white-haired young man, surprisingly, he bears the Lin surname!

The Lin surname is quite special. If anyone else had the Lin surname, Xu Mo wouldn’t think much of it. But considering the man’s identity as potentially being the Abyss King, the fact that he has the Lin surname makes this matter intriguing and invites numerous associations.

Montis kept his eyes fixed on Xu Mo; Xu Mo’s body trembled slightly as if frightened.

“Questions that shouldn’t be asked, avoid asking them in the future.” Montis’s voice carried a cold aura. Xu Mo thought to himself that this Montis War General seemed to have a double personality. While playing with those children, he could be quite approachable, but once provoked, his oppressive presence was terrifying.

“Yes, General,” Xu Mo said shakily, and it was only then that Montis averted his gaze.

Xu Mo took a deep breath and chose to remain silent.

It seems that Montis isn’t so easy to probe either.

Days passed.

The number of people appearing in this area gradually increased.

Rodrigo and Vera O’Brien also arrived, along with other teams from the Mystic God Temple.

After Wu Lai and Asaka reported the news, several Hall Masters from the Mystic God Temple issued a notice, allowing Rodrigo and the others to quickly learn about the situation.

However, when they appeared in this region, they were actually entering the visual range of the Abyss Corps.

“This place seems different,” Vera O’Brien whispered as she sensed the atmosphere of this region. Upon arriving, she observed that there was no violence, crime; everything was orderly.

“Core area of the Abyss Corps, this is their residence. Of course, no one dares to cause trouble here,” Rodrigo remarked, “It’s all an illusion.”

“Vera, we need to be cautious,” Rodrigo reminded.

“Understood,” Vera O’Brien nodded.

Meanwhile, at the school.

The young white-haired man appeared in the classroom again today and attended a lecture.

After class, Montis approached the white-haired young man and respectfully stood by his side.

The white-haired young man got up and walked outside, with Montis following closely.

“Master, more forces are arriving, they might be planning to act against us. Should we strike first?” Montis suggested.

“No.”

The white-haired man simply said, then turned to look at Montis and asked, “Do you know why we’ve been exposed so quickly?”

Montis paused, looking at the white-haired man.

“Montis, your observational skills are still lacking,” the white-haired man noted, causing Montis to tense up, lowering his head before speaking, “Please instruct me, Master.”

“One of your subordinates is the problem.”

The white-haired man continued to walk, speaking to Montis.

Montis was astonished; his subordinate was a problem?

“Which subordinate?”

“Still don’t know who?” The white-haired man furrowed his brow, glanced coldly at Montis, instantly causing Montis to break into a cold sweat, bowing as he walked.

“I asked him to supervise you, the one learning,” the white-haired man said.

“Moluo.” Montis’s eyes widened, finding it hard to believe. Moluo had been with him for a long time, could he have such an issue?

However, the Master’s words cannot be wrong.

Since he claimed Moluo had issues, then there must be an issue.

“I’ll kill him now,” Montis responded coldly.

“That’s useless,” the white-haired young man glanced at him and said, “He’s already being controlled. I want to see the person controlling him behind the scenes.”

With that, the white-haired young man ignored Montis’s puzzled look and left the area.

If Montis couldn’t handle this now, he’d face removal.

The white-haired man’s smile had a hint of wickedness, unlike the demeanor he showed in class.

He had some interest in the person controlling Moluo; someone intriguing enough to possess such means.

After he left, Montis continued to stand there for a moment, with an odd look in his eyes.

So, Moluo was being controlled?

How was he controlled?

Montis felt a chill running through his body. Moluo being controlled meant he could have been silently attacked if someone aimed to kill him, since he wouldn’t be on guard.

With a glint of murderous intent in his eyes, he turned around and walked in a certain direction.

Someone had silently controlled those close to him.
