Chapter 1893: Hollow Bride
Chapter 1893: Hollow Bride
Villain Ch 1893. Hollow Bride
Bella shrieked as she leapt and slammed a heel into the Shadow Attendant’s skull. “Die already!”
Alice cast another hex midair. “Don’t touch the patient,” she hissed.
Vivian’s whip lashed across the last remaining nurse—cutting her clean in half at the waist.
Allen stood in the wreckage.
Breathing hard. Covered in ash and blood and whatever passed for fluid in this place.
He looked around.
The ICU was wrecked. Beds crushed. Monitors exploded. Ghosts silent.
And yet—
They were still there.
The patients.
Lying in their beds.
Now finally still.
Not peaceful. Not even close. But quiet.
Jane lowered her hands slowly. The last of her bone shield melted into dust.
Zoe pulled her tentacles back and cracked her neck like she just clocked out of a particularly violent shift.
Bella let out a breath and muttered something about how she’d rather fight three angry dragons in a bar bathroom than ever walk into another hospital again.
Alice floated down from her broom, hair windblown, muttering curses under her breath in languages that hadn’t been spoken by mortals in centuries.
Larissa wiped ichor off her lips with the back of her glove and looked like she was already bored again.
Shea was nursing her wing, blood flecked across her cheek like warpaint.
Allen didn’t say anything.
Didn’t need to.
But his eyes were locked on Elise.
She hadn’t moved.
Still curled on the floor beside the empty bed.
Still holding her grandmother.
Until the shadows came.
They oozed out of the walls. Poured in from the cracks and vents like ink with purpose. No shape. No face. Just hungry dark. They slithered low across the tiles, quiet, fast, like they were afraid to be noticed until it was too late.
One reached for Elise’s foot.
She flinched. Whimpered. Tightened her grip on the ghostly woman beside her.
“Grandma,” she whispered. “We have to run. Please. Please…”
She grabbed her grandmother’s frail hand. Tugged.
But the woman didn’t budge.
“Elise,” the old ghost said, voice as hollow as a dried-up well, “I’m sorry.”
Elise froze.
“…what?”
The grandmother turned her head, slowly. Her face no longer sad.
Just resigned.
“They’re here for you. I told them you were here.”
Elise’s face broke.
The betrayal didn’t come with a scream.
It came with a crack in her breath.
“You… you said I could… you said you forgave me…”
“I did,” the grandmother said softly. “But you still have to marry the landlord.”
That’s when the shadows surged.
Fast. A dozen of them. Maybe more.
Vivian let out a low whistle. “Well. At least we don’t need to chase her again.”
They reached her.
Dozens of clawed fingers stretched out. Grabbed her ankles, her arms, her throat. Elise screamed—loud, raw, too real. She kicked, thrashed, tried to claw herself free, but they held her like chains of smoke and bone.
“LET ME GO!” she shrieked.
And that’s when it happened.
The mark.
The brand the priest gave her during the wedding.
It glowed.
It burned.
Fiery red lines sizzled across her collarbone, lighting up like demonic circuitry. The skin split. The symbol pulsed.
And then—
Darkness detonated from her body.
A wave of raw force. Not magic. Not spellwork.
Something older.
It threw Allen back like he’d been gut-punched by a god.
His back slammed against the wall. The girls flew in different directions—Zoe crashing into a supply cabinet, Shea hitting a wheeled gurney hard enough to send it skittering. Jane skidded across the floor, blood smearing behind her. Vivian tumbled, landed in a crouch with a growl. Bella cracked into the far wall and cursed in five languages. Larissa caught herself mid-air, claws extended. Alice hit the ceiling and bounced.
The room exploded.
Windows shattered outward. Walls cracked. Bedframes flipped. Equipment burst apart in sprays of glass and metal.
And the grandmother?
Gone.
Wiped out in the blast like dust in a storm.
Elise stood in the middle of the room.
Barefoot. Trembling. Crying.
But it wasn’t just crying.
She howled.
A sound not meant for human throats.
A scream full of pain, and fire, and something even worse—emptiness.
Her body began to change.
It cracked.
Snapped.
Grew.
Bones stretched. Her spine arched back violently. Fingers lengthened into claws. Her skin paled, losing every hint of warmth. Her gown twisted—turned to tatters and then to a wedding dress. A real one.
But soaked in blood.
It clung to her like it had been sewn in.
Stained. Ripped.
Her hair darkened, floated around her face like drowned weeds.
And her eyes?
Gone.
Just blank glass.
White. Empty. No pupils. No light.
But the worst part?
Her chest.
There was no heartbeat.
No breath.
No pulse.
Because there was no heart.
Only a hollow circle. A perfectly round hole where her heart should be.
Like someone had taken it out and never looked back.
She stopped moving.
Her arms dropped to her sides.
She stood tall now. Taller than Allen.
Over two meters.
Unblinking. Unfeeling.
Broken.
And then the system flashed across their vision like it was holding its own breath.

The screen pulsed red.
Vivian whistled. “She’s tall. Not gonna lie, kinda hot in a terrifying, don’t-touch-me-or-you’ll-die way.”
Bella groaned. “Vivian. Please. Not the time.”
Larissa didn’t even blink. “Where’s her heart?”
Jane, still sitting on the floor, pushed herself up with a grunt. Her voice was soft.
“None. I guess… ’cause they didn’t let her have one.”
Allen’s eyes flicked to her.
Jane continued, tone bitter now. “She was just supposed to obey, right? Just wear the dress. Say the words. Nobody ever asked her how she felt. What she wanted. Everyone just… used her. So she threw it away.”
Zoe wiped blood off her lip with the back of her arm. “Yeah, cool story, but uh…” She pointed with one clawed finger. “Her level’s three-six-one. Maybe let’s talk after we don’t die?”
Allen didn’t flinch.
He adjusted his grip on the blade, eyes locked on the creature Elise had become.
