Villain Ch 2040. Home Sweet Home

A sleepy voice broke through the stillness, soft but laced with amused judgment. “You two are still up?”

Allen turned his head just as Vivian stepped onto the balcony, her silk robe wrapped tightly around her and her hair tucked behind one ear. She looked half-asleep but still moved like a queen attending a midnight tea party.

“I thought you guys had already gone to bed,” she murmured, rubbing one eye.

Jane stepped back, a little flustered, clearing her throat like she’d been caught doing something scandalous. Allen just chuckled.

“I was about to come in,” he said. “Just needed air.”

Vivian eyed the faint traces of ash near the candleholder. “You were burning something.”

Allen hesitated. Then nodded. “Yeah. A letter.”

Vivian didn’t ask. She just walked closer and stood beside him, her bare feet nearly silent against the stone floor.

“From Jason,” he added after a moment.

She hummed, as if that explained everything. “Was it awful?”

Allen stared out into the dark. “It was exactly what you’d expect from him.”

Jane gave him a look, then touched his arm. “But you burned it.”

“I had to,” he said. “Not out of hate. Just… to let it go.”

Vivian leaned against the railing, staring at the night sky like it owed her an answer. “You know, I used to imagine this day would end with a lot more… screaming.”

“I thought so too,” Allen admitted. “Maybe a wild night. Chaos. Confetti.”

Vivian smiled faintly. “And instead?”

He nodded toward the open master bedroom window where warm golden light spilled from inside. “They’re all passed out on the bed.”

She laughed gently. “So much for the legendary first night.”

Jane grinned. “We’re just being kind. You wouldn’t survive nine of us tonight.”

Allen raised a brow. “Are you suggesting I lack stamina?”

“No,” Vivian said. “We’re saying we love you too much to break you on your wedding night.”

They all laughed softly, the kind that stayed in the throat, warm and tired and genuine.

Then another voice floated out from the window. A grumble, sleepy and teasing.

“Who’s hogging him now?” Shea mumbled, stepping onto the balcony wrapped in a blanket like a spoiled lioness. “I thought we agreed he was ours.”

“Shea—” Allen started.

“Don’t Shea me. I woke up. You weren’t there. I panicked for a full five seconds.”

Zoe appeared next, hair slightly messy, lips pressed in that usual calm line. “It’s been three hours since our wedding. You think he’s running away already?”

“Honestly, we gave him nine reasons to,” Bella said as she slid into view, her silk robe slipping just slightly off one shoulder.

Alice poked her head out, bright-eyed despite the late hour. “Are we doing a midnight cuddle pile?”

Azura’s voice followed from somewhere inside. “Only if I’m in the middle this time. I was crushed under Shea’s leg earlier.”

Larissa yawned loudly as she walked barefoot across the floor, stretching her arms above her head. “If we’re doing this, someone better be making tea.”

Mila came last, carrying a small tray with two teacups and a plate of crackers. “Already did.”

Allen looked at the scene forming around him. His wives. All in sleepwear, half-awake, teasing each other like this wasn’t a monumental day. Like this was normal.

And maybe it was now.

Maybe that was the miracle of it.

He turned toward them, arms crossed loosely, his voice soft. “You’re all awake now?”

“Apparently,” Zoe said. “It’s your fault.”

Shea narrowed her eyes. “You smell like stress and man-sweat.”

Vivian sniffed the air dramatically. “Did he even shower?”

Nine heads turned toward him.

Allen stepped back slowly. “Wait—”

“You haven’t bathed yet?” Alice gasped.

Jane raised a brow. “Seriously?”

“I was on the balcony. Burning emotional baggage.”

Azura grinned. “Cute. But you still stink.”

He held up both hands. “Alright, alright. I’ll go. Solo shower. Two minutes—”

“No,” Shea said. “Too late. Group vote.”

“You are not voting on this—”

“We should shower him,” Bella said, lips curling into a smirk.

Jane tilted her head thoughtfully. “That would be efficient.”

Zoe coughed delicately. “And practical.”

“Are you guys seriously—”

Mila walked up, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed his cheek. “We love you.”

Alice hugged him from behind. “Let us take care of you, dummy.”

Vivian looked at him for a long second, then touched his wrist. “Not for anything else. Not tonight. Just this. Let us hold you.”

Allen looked around at them.

The night breeze was soft. The moon was still high. The garden lights shimmered faintly. His feet ached. His back was sore. His heart… his heart felt full.

Maybe too full.

“I thought you were all tired,” he said.

“We are,” Zoe murmured. “But we’re yours. And this… this is our first night.”

Shea pulled the blanket tighter around herself. “And you don’t get to be alone anymore.”

He swallowed the lump in his throat.

It was too much. Not in the overwhelming way that crushed, but in the way that healed. Slow. Gentle. Real. His chest felt tight, not from pain, but from something warmer, something he’d never quite had the words for. He felt like something had cracked open inside him during that ceremony, and instead of bleeding out, he bloomed.

They were all here. They stayed. Even after everything. After who he used to be. After what he went through. They didn’t just fall in love with the part of him that smiled and led. They chose the scars too. The bitterness. The man who had once sat in silence while the rest of the world moved past him.

This wasn’t just affection. This was something deeper.

He didn’t know what he did to deserve this. But it didn’t matter. He didn’t need to earn it anymore.

His voice came quiet. Just above a whisper. Like if he said it too loud, the spell might break.

“…thank you,” he murmured.

Nine heads turned.

“For what?” Shea asked, already curled under his arm.

He exhaled slowly, blinking against the tears that weren’t quite falling.

“For being my home,” Allen said. “For choosing me. For staying.”

Jane leaned forward and kissed his temple. “You made this home too, Allen.”

“You gave us somewhere to belong,” Vivian whispered.

Mila smiled softly. “You don’t even realize how much we needed you.”

“I do,” he said, voice a little cracked. “Now I do.”

And he meant it.

He didn’t just love them. He felt them. In his bones. In his breath.

It wasn’t the wedding that made them his wives.

It was this.

This was his life now.

Not a dream.

Not a fantasy.

But real.

And he didn’t want to be anywhere else.
