Zi Yanrou sat beside Jun Tianyun in the garden. The cloth was still covering her eyes. However, she acted as if everything was fine.

With mild tremble, Jun Tianyun removed the blindfold. As the cloth fell, Jun Tianyun saw the eyes of Zi Yanrou.

A soft relief appeared in his heart, as it wasn’t the worst case scene. Her eyes were still there…However, her iris turned grey. Jun Tianyun could understand that she was unable to see anything anymore.

” As our guards cleaned up, a group of masked men made a sneak attack.”

” They used some kind of gas, that reduced everyone’s internal energy to almost zero. Ashley managed to overpower them with her ability.

A cold smile appeared on Zi Yanrou’s lips. ” They really tried to kill us. But our strength and technology gave them a big surprise. We killed more than a half of them.”

” They came for me, didn’t they?” Jun Tianyun closed his eyes and asked.

” Not entirely. It seems like they knew they wouldn’t be able to approach you.” Zi Yanrou spoke with some thought. ” Therefore, they wanted to kill us all. Everyone, who is related to you, was their target.”

” Also, there was a strange thing.” Zi Yanrou mumbled. ” It seems like they knew I have special eyes. They didn’t know what kind of eyes I had, but they knew they were special.”

Jun Tianyun’s face turned cold when he heard that.

Along with X-Ray Vision, the Yin Ynag Divine Eyes also had function of mind reading. So, Zi Yanrou used that chance to read what the assassins were thinking.

” However, it looks like they got some sort of tip from Tianzhong Clan.”

She cupped Jun Tianyun’s face, staring at him intently. As if she was trying to digest that she was seeing Jun Tianyun with her eyes, not with only her senses.

” What? Looking more mature and handsome, I presume?” Jun Tianyun grinned.

” You silly bastard!”

Zi Yanrou hugged him tightly, kissing him deep.

The droplets of rain stopped, with a beam of sunlight cracking through the dark clouds.

Somehow, people around felt the sunlight felt very mellow and nourishing. A sense of peace and hope washed when they saw the cloud dissipating with golden rays of sun shine.
