We ended up going to the one place that we knew we would not be interrupted to continue our sweets eating session, though this time with Emilia also tagging along.
Where was that? The inn of course~
Eldoria was more than happy to serve us the sweets she made and when I offered to pay her for the trouble, she rejected it and said the only payment she needed was to watch me eat the sweets she made.
She was so adamant about it too and even begged me to accept that as though paying her with Creas was somehow less valuable than that.
Then again… She probably has no need for Creas since she’s still a maid employed by my family so her living necessities were all paid for by the family and the only thing she needs money for were her personal luxuries.
And knowing her, she doesn’t really care for luxuries outside of making sweets and the family basically pays for everything in regards to that.
So I guess… Creas is actually kind of useless to her now that I think about it…
Well, not that that matters because the most important part is that Eldoria made a lot of sweets for us!!
Ahhh!! There’s so many sweets!! Eldoria wasn’t even serious yesterday when she made all those mochi sweets for us!
There’s an even bigger spread this time with even more different types of mochi sweets like sakuramochi, botamochi and even what I believe is the equivalent of kuzumochi~
Accompanying those mochi sweets were castella cakes, dangos, different jellies made with different fruits and even taiyakis that had different flavoured fillings in them!
She already knew I would come back for sweets so she had apparently spent the whole day just making all of this just for me!
They’re all so good!! Pair them with the tea that Katsuki brewed for me and I was in seventh heaven~
I wanted to feed Katsuki but she was still as stubborn as always, though Emilia had no qualms about getting fed by me so I went ahead to feed her some of the sweets she had.
Too bad she wasn’t that big of a sweet tooth so she didn’t get that many sweets for herself.
By the time I had finished feeding Emilia, Katsuki had long finished her share and had joined Emilia in feeding me my sweets.
With all these sweets, I couldn’t find any strength in me to complain so I just let them feed me and I lost myself in the sweetness of the confectionaries~
As Katsuki fed me the last scoop of ice cream and I thoroughly enjoyed it as the sweetness filled my mouth.
I basked in the last of the sweetness that was lingering in my mouth and slowly let out the breath I had been holding before I opened my eyes.
That was when I realised that there was someone also watching me from a short distance away.
And that person just happened to be someone I just recently met.
I swallowed the last bit of sweetness in my mouth before tilting my head, “Oh? Hello Masuyama. Do you need something from me? I thought you were busy with those corrupt police guys.”
He shook slightly, as though he had just woken up from a dream.
“A… Ah. Lady Aster! I apologise for interrupting your time! I’m only here to deliver a piece of news to you!”
“What news?”
“Well… I can’t just let Lady Aster solve this corruption problem and yet go unrewarded. That’s why I intend to have you be rewarded for your achievement!”
“It’s not like I did that to be rewarded for it though?”
“I know that, Lady Aster… But this event is much too big to be hidden… Considering the number of people they had falsely convicted and enslaved… There was no way we could free all of them without revealing this event had ever happened…”
I felt a chill go up my spine as I looked at him seriously, “How many people did they enslave?”
“In total throughout their time here? About five hundred… I can’t be sure of an exact number as some of them either managed to escape or they perished while being a captive…”
“How long has this been going on?”
“Umm… Shortly after I had set up this system so… About a year by now?”
“And… How many people are left?”
“Three hundred and thirty two, Lady Aster…”

Hiandoca? I don’t think three days is enough of a punishment for those pieces of trash…
“Ehehehe~ Shall I make it a permanent thing then?” Hiandoca’s voice echoed in my head.
No… Keeping them around just for them to fuck each other is also a complete waste of space and might even hurt the sanity of the people who come across them…
“Mmm~ So what does Aster suggest we do to them?”
If I remember correctly… Doesn’t goddess Nilali abhor rapists? And if you were to be raped, you can sacrifice your rapists to her to regain your purity or something?

Guess we’ll just wait for the three days of punishment to be completed first before we give them even more punishment.
“Lady Aster?” Masuyama suddenly spoke, drawing me away from my mental conversation with Hiandoca. “Are you alright? You went quiet all of a sudden?”
Oh right, I haven’t responded to him after he told me the number.
I cleared my throat, “Ahem… What are you planning to do with those bastards once three days are up?”
“Eh? Umm… I guess I would just execute them after their crimes were revealed? We need to show the public that these are the ones responsible and have been properly brought to justice so no one needs to worry about them still roaming around freely somewhere else. Why?”
I grinned at him, “Well… Let’s just say that there’s someone who would be very interested in tearing these guys down and punishing them ever more. And they aren’t someone either of us can deny…”
I think he understood who I was talking about almost immediately because his eyes widened and he quickly bowed his head, “I will endeavour to keep as many of them alive as much as possible in preparation for her, Lady Aster. You do not need to worry.”
Well now… I see why Emilia keeps him around. He’s a smart one.
He then looked up, “But umm… Is Goddess Hiandoca going to make them do… Whatever they are doing now again? Because that courtyard still has use… And we can’t use it if they’re there… I can arrange another location to keep them if Goddess Hiandoca wishes…”
Oh. He thinks it’s Hiandoca who wants to punish them again I see.
I guess it would be unreasonable for him to instantly expect I got another goddess involved in this in the first place.
I cleared my throat, “Ahem… It’s not Hiandoca this time… It’s goddess Nilali… Hiandoca is going to ask her if she wants to get involved and we’ll know if she would punish them after the three days are up. So I guess once the effect stops… You could move them to some sort of holding cell or something? Assuming you have a space that is big enough to hold all of them?”
He stood even straighter and widened his eyes at me, “Ev… Even Goddess Nilali? I… I understand. I have a place I can move them to afterwards. You can leave it to me, Lady Aster. Anyway… About the reward… I will send someone to pick you up after three days as well. Would you be available?”
I looked at Emilia and Katsuki beside me and both of them nodded their heads.
Well, I guess I would be available that day.
Now I wonder what kind of reward he plans to give?
