Will of chaos

Chapter 2015 2015: Cap 2006 (Rewritten): The Beginning...

Editor: The chapter had been deleted by mistake and the author had to rewrite everything.

All that mattered to me was revealing whatever or whoever was here.

“< Awakening of the Path: Domination >” (me)

I trained my Concept extensively, and the best way I could find to use it as an Entity should was to relate it to something familiar to me, something so natural that I could perform it almost automatically, and this revealed itself as my stellar paths, like those in my Divine Realm.

Perhaps realizing what I was going to do, Ayden stepped back, pulling a sword that looked new from behind him. I hadn’t offered him that sword until he put his hands behind his back, pulling it out, which soon became visible.

While keeping an eye on Ayden, I took a step forward. It was such a heavy step that all of space trembled, the power of Reality stirred, and the Aura disappeared, rooting itself in the reality around us.

In a bizarre way, it was as if everything changed from where I set foot; everything disintegrated and reformed. The crystal earth became ethereal while the sky of many worlds burned, leaving only a river of stars in the heavens. The next thing that happened was a rain of stars that tore through reality, so beautiful and deadly that it soon revealed what was previously hidden.

The rain of stars tore through reality, which recomposed itself everywhere except one place—the place that revealed a translucent bubble where three individuals were.

Besides noticing that one of them was a man and the other two were women, I couldn’t identify anything else because their bodies seemed like blurred silhouettes, as if they didn’t actually exist. The power of reality seemed to reject them, thus forming these silhouettes as if they were holes in reality itself.

“Only three…” (Ayden)

As soon as they were revealed, Ayden turned his swords towards them. One of his swords, the one that looked new, was gleaming with a large number of texts running along its blade before he released the sword, destroying the bubble surrounding them.

I don’t even look at Ayden and focus only on the enemies in front of me. I don’t attack immediately, not because I’m afraid, but because I don’t know how to attack. They seem to be one with the very structure of the universe. I didn’t know what they could do to even force Ayden to set all this up instead of just fighting them head-on.

“[You shouldn’t have come here! You’re not welcome!]” (System)

“You can’t do anything to stop our presence, not anymore.”

“Who are you?” (me)

“Who we are isn’t…”

“Don’t waste your time talking to them, here’s the summary… they’re evil… we’re good… finish them all off!” (Xerxes)

Xerxes suddenly appeared behind them as if emerging from space. He grabbed one of them by the neck with his arm, and her body shifted. It was one of the women; her body transformed into something very human, if not for the inconsistencies. Her body was translucent, unlike the Phantoms and other such things; it was more like an illusion.

“(What are these things!?)” (me)

Their bodies were pale, their eyes were green with blue irises, their hair was strands of pure, shimmering energy in different colors.

Their mere presence seemed fundamentally wrong; it was strange even to look at them. They all turned to me after I revealed them.

“I didn’t expect you to be able to reveal yourselves to us…” (Man)

“It seems you were plotting against us, just as I suspected.” (Woman A)

“All this because someone couldn’t help but present themselves before them.” (Man)

“I needed to see him, the successor of Paradox.” (Woman B)

“< Ritual of Origin: Dimensional Isolation >” (War)

Suddenly I feel a massive Aura explode from within Ayden, but it wasn’t his presence. I didn’t even need to think to know it was War finally taking over Ayden’s body and breaking the sword that seemed new in one of his hands.

The sword shattered into particles of energy that dissolved into the power of reality as 5 columns of energy vanished in 5 different directions. It was a very quick reaction that soon resulted in an energy engulfing the entire place and sealing everything else outside.

When this happened, Igor appeared at the same time as Ayden. Actually, it wasn’t Igor, but the Entity of Commerce, which exerted incredible pressure, just as Ayden must have been possessed by the Entity of War. Both were exploding with an overwhelming level of power.

“War, do it now!” (Merchant)

“< Origin Mandate: Subjugation of the Firmament >” (Merchant/War)

“< Order: Phase Dysfunction >” (Man)

“< Order: Negation of Reality >” (Woman A/Woman B)

The two Entities react simultaneously, their powers concentrating in their hands as they stretch one of their arms towards the other, leaving a space where a Symbol forms: a coin with a blood-covered sword piercing it. From this symbol, a pressure different from gravity surges like lightning towards the enemy trio.

As if losing the attack, the man brought his hands together, which distorted in opposite directions, clearly exerting great effort. The two women acted in unison and even merged into one woman twice the size, joining their fists as their Aura gained physical power, expelling the power of reality from the surroundings by creating a new bubble like the previous one where they hid.

The attack by Guerra and the Merchant hits the vibrating bubble before it shatters, but as soon as it does, it reveals a distortion of the power of reality where an energy I can’t even comprehend surges forth. The man jumps into the distortion, disappearing, but when the woman, who was the fusion of the two before her, jumped in, she was hit mid-flight, causing her to separate into two again. One fell inside, disappearing along with the man, while the other was pulled back.

As soon as that power hit her, the pressure seemed to reverse, pulling her violently towards the two Entities using their Avatars.

“(Zenos, grant me power!)” (Xerxes)

“< Return >”

“< Release of Chaos: Cursed Reflux >” (Xerxes)

When I thought it was all over, I heard Xerxes’ voice in my mind with an urgent tone, followed by a large amount of strange energy gushing out of that distortion in the power of reality.

Suddenly, an arm that seemed to be made of intertwined muscles covered in a semi-transparent skin emerged, stretching with ridiculous speed. Space was being devastated as it passed, and the power of reality was being pushed aside as if it were plunging its hand into a bucket of water. It wanted to reach the woman who was almost in the hands of the two Entities, and that’s when Xerxes appeared.

Xerxes emerged from space as if pushing back a curtain. I felt the power of Chaos being pulled towards her and allowed it; I knew she wanted to stop that arm, and I wouldn’t be able to react quickly enough.

Xerxes gathered the power in one of her arms, which distorted as if it had become fused. She gripped it directly, just below the wrist of that thing, and her fingers became solid teeth that pierced the arm deeply before she withdrew her hand, which returned to normal.

What came next was like the rebound effect of a rubber band pulled to its limit; that strange, angry thing was pulled back as if being pulled inside out, the hand going inside the wrist and continuing until it was completely back inside the Distortion of the power of reality.

“< Seal >” (System)

The System then emerges in that distortion and, with its four hands, performs strange hand seals that control the power of reality as if they were pixels on a computer screen, closing that distortion completely.

When I turned my gaze to the woman who fell into the hands of the two Entities, I realized that she was completely still, her eyes were empty and there was no Aura; she was an empty body that gradually compressed into a rectangle that was guarded by Guerra.

“What was all that?” (me)

“Someone appeared, someone ambushed, someone attacked, and I reacted… I think it was in that order.” (Xerxes)

“I’m not kidding!” (me)

“Neither am I.” (Xerxes)

“I feel like I know who they are, but at the same time I’m not sure. Since I woke up, I’m still processing my memories, which were in a state… let’s just say my mind was extremely chaotic.” (Xerxes)

I approached Xerxes to find out what happened, but her answer was disappointing. She didn’t seem to be lying either; she acted that way without any understanding of what was happening.

While I was talking to her, the dome that had formed dissolved. War and the Merchant abandoned the bodies of their Avatars, and the System disappeared with its receptacle.

“Can either of you explain what all this was about?” (me)

“Simply put?” (Igor)

“I used us both as bait. I tried to seem as convincing as possible.” (Ayden)

“I appreciate your cooperation even after realizing my actions.” (Ayden)

“Who were they? Why were they watching us?” (Me)

“I told you he wouldn’t notice.” (Igor)

“Notice what!?” (Me)

“They weren’t watching us, they were targeting you more specifically.” (Ayden)

“That’s why Guerra gave up the fight against Xerxes, it wasn’t planned for her to participate, I couldn’t let her use her power and divide their attention between the two of you.” (Ayden)

“They were targeting the one who possesses the power of Chaos?” (Me)

“Partly yes, actually they were targeting the one who possesses the Concept of Chaos.” (Igor)

“Unlike other Concepts, this one is very effective against them.” (Igor)

“This was just the beginning…” (Ayden)

“This isn’t the best place for explanations, come on, follow me.” (Ayden)

Ayden turns around and a door opens leading outside, revealing a city where people dressed normally walk by. Ayden enters through the portal and Igor follows right behind, gesturing for me to follow. I enter next, with Xerxes following closely behind. Before leaving, I left a message for the others to return before me; I didn’t want to put them in more danger before finding out more.
