Chapter 1273: Heavenly Demon

Lin Fan froze when he heard this voice behind him.

That was because the pressure that came from behind him was more than enough to pin him in place. If he were to do anything while under this pressure, there was no doubt that he would be crushed because of it.

“He’s the one that was being rude, I was just teaching him a small lesson.” The voice said from behind him which made Lin Fan give a gulp.

“Rude? He was just doing what any normal person would have done. It’s your own fault for trying to act mysterious like this.” Ye Qing Huan said with a snort that made Lin Fan reveal a bitter smile.

But in the end, it seemed like the pressure that was coming from behind him disappeared because she said this.

Instead of the same stern voice as before, there was a warm laugh that replaced it.

“Little girl, no matter what, I am still your master. Shouldn’t you treat me with a bit of respect?”

This was a scolding that wasn’t actually filled with anger, but rather warmth.

It was the kind of scolding that came from an elder that cared about the one that he was scolding.

With this, Ye Qing Huan’s master, the Heavenly Demon, came out from behind Lin Fan.

But the moment that Lin Fan saw the Heavenly Demon, he couldn’t help being surprised.

Instead of a powerful and fierce looking man like Lin Fan had expected, it was a short old man that had a balding head of hair. Even the way that he dressed made him seem like a neighbourhood uncle rather than the Heavenly Demon.

“Master really doesn’t look like the Heavenly Demon at all, does he? I’ve told him this many times, but he always says that he looks very cool.” Ye Qing Huan said all of a sudden when she saw the look on Lin Fan’s face.

Hearing this, there was an awkward look that appeared on his face before he cautiously looked at the Heavenly Demon.

It was a good thing that the Heavenly Demon didn’t seem to mind the disrespectful way that Ye Qing Huan talked about him.

He just casually walked over to Ye Qing Huan’s side and gently hit her on the head before saying, “Little girl, you’re being disrespectful. I’m clearly the coolest and most handsome Heavenly Demon out there.”

Then turning back to Lin Fan, he said, “Isn’t that right?”

When Lin Fan heard this, there was an awkward look that appeared on his face.

If he lied, it would be easy for the Heavenly Demon to see through it. If he told the truth, it wasn’t as if there was anything to gain from that.

So Lin Fan really didn’t know what to say.

“See, he’s so stunned by my cool and handsome appearance that he can’t even speak. If that’s not the best proof, what else would you need?” The Heavenly Demon said in a voice filled with confidence.

Lin Fan’s lips couldn’t help twitching when he heard this, but he didn’t say anything in the end.

Since this would mean that he would be able to get past this matter without actually offending the Heavenly Demon. So it was best if he just kept his mouth shut and waited to see how this would go.

Ye Qing Huan just pursed her lips and pouted as if she wasn’t happy with this, but the Heavenly Demon didn’t seem to care.

He walked up to the hut that was in front of them before waving his hand at the two of them to say, “Come on, let’s go in and talk. I just got some special tea the other day that I think that you’ll enjoy.”

Hearing this, Lin Fan still felt a bit awkward and didn’t know what to do.

It was just that Ye Qing Huan didn’t really give him time to think as she grabbed his hand and pulled him into the hut.

Just like how it looked from the outside, the hut didn’t seem that special at all.

It seemed like a common hut that a mountain hunter would live in.

Still, he wouldn’t do that in the presence of an expert like the Heavenly Demon.

After coming in, the Heavenly Demon just ignored the two of them as he went to the side where a tea set was placed. This tea set was made with jade and was releasing pure spiritual energy, which showed that it had been carved with something special.

I knew about the problem with her cultivation technique and I knew how hard it was for her to solve it, which was why I had her try all kinds of things. However, you came along and solved that problem for her with barely an inconvenience. It really is amazing how you managed to do something like that.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help tensing a little when he heard this.

It was almost as if the Heavenly Demon was implying something when he said this.

But the Heavenly Demon dispelled his doubts when he said, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to blame you for anything. A favour is a favour and I’m not going to start digging into your secrets since there’s plenty of secrets that we all have.”

Then turning back to look at Lin Fan with a smile, the Heavenly Demon said, “Though I have to say that you’re getting quite the deal with the way that you’ve charmed our Qing Huan.”

“Master!” Ye Qing Huan said in an embarrassed voice.

The Heavenly Demon continued by saying, “You’ve gotten her around your finger with the way that she keeps looking for things that will help you. It’s almost as if she cares more about you than her own parents or her own master.”

With a sigh, the Heavenly Demon said, “I guess it really is true that a daughter forgets about the parents and the master when they find love.”

“Master!” Ye Qing Huan’s voice was no longer embarrassed and now even had a trace of coldness to it.

The Heavenly Demon gave a chuckle, but he didn’t say anything else after that.

Lin Fan on the other hand couldn’t help feeling a bit awkward.

It wasn’t as if the Heavenly Demon was wrong.

Even though he had helped Ye Qing Huan solve her problem, it wasn’t as if he had suffered a loss with the way that she took care of him. With all of the things that she had given him, Lin Fan had indeed gained much more than she had gained from all of this.

So he really didn’t know what to say here.

“Don’t worry, she chose you. It’s not as if we’re doubting our Qing Huan, we believe that she will make the right choice when it comes to the one she wants to be with.”

Lin Fan was caught off guard when the Heavenly Demon suddenly said this.

In the end, he just gave a slight nod in response.
