Yuan’s Ascension

Chapter 1250: Rampage Without Restraint (1)

Chapter 1250: Rampage Without Restraint (1)

Countless ancient relic sites populated the vast expanse of the Nine Chaos Voids, occasionally yielding precious artifacts to those fortunate enough to discover them. Most of these finds were damaged or fragmented.

Unique and rare treasures sometimes appeared as well, though such discoveries remained entirely unpredictable, dependent entirely upon fortune rather than following any systematic order.

However, Chaos Orichalcum was different. This material was essential for forging Chaos Treasures and Xiantian Instruments. Every truly powerful artifact required this material, often in quantities that defied imagination. Among all sources throughout the boundless cosmic sea, none rivaled the Nine Chaos Voids in the production of this precious resource.

Across the immense cosmic sea, most regions pose no threat to me. Wu Yuan mused. At worst, certain areas might temporarily trap me, but killing me outright? Nearly impossible.

His confidence wasn’t misplaced. With Full True Saint strength and self-preservation abilities approaching those of a Dao Zenithel, Wu Yuan’s power commanded respect even among the mightiest beings traversing the cosmic sea. Indeed, ninety-nine percent of all regions held no real danger for him.

Yet places like the Nine Chaos Voids remained exceptions, particularly the still-unstable Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Chaos Voids. Despite these dangers, True Saints from every major faction still rushed in, wave after wave. Their motivation? The allure of treasures, including Chaos Orichalcum!

In ordinary exploration sites, even after hundreds of millions of years of diligent searching, discovering a Chaos Orichalcum vein stretching a mere hundred li would be considered an extraordinary fortune. Wu Yuan’s eyes kindled with barely contained excitement. But how can such meager findings possibly compare to this—a massive mountain of ore in the Ninth Chaos Void stretching over a hundred thousand li?

True, the mountain contained only trace amounts of the precious material. Millions of cubic feet of raw ore might yield merely a single cubic foot of pure Chaos Orichalcum. Yet the sheer immensity of this mountain more than compensated for this dilution.

By my estimates, this deposit contains enough Chaos Orichalcum to forge at least two complete Chaos Treasures. Wu Yuan calculated, his assessment sharper than most True Saints. That’s easily worth over a hundred million Xuanhuang merits.

Creating a Chaos Treasure required not only Chaos Orichalcum but numerous other rarities, and most critically, someone with the skill to perform the actual forging.

I must claim this. He decided firmly.

Once secured, my next Chaos Treasure will be within reach. Wu Yuan’s heart surged with fierce determination.

Boom! Without any attempt at concealment, Wu Yuan released his full aura and launched himself toward the ore mountain. His speed quickly accelerated. A hundred times the speed of light, then two hundred, until he reached five hundred times light speed. His ether body built such extreme momentum that he could feel the pressure of the Primordial Rules bearing down upon him.

Six billion li. He noted. I’m very close now.

One might even say this ore mountain has practically crashed into my path. It’s truly a great opportunity bestowed by the Primordium itself. Wu Yuan naturally interpreted this as his own grand fortune.

Boom! He charged forward with reckless abandon, his terrifying speed generating spatial tremors that made the void quake continuously. These disturbances rippled outward, propagating far into the distance.

Billions of li away, mere dozens of breaths after the spacetime rift had appeared and the ore mountain emerged…

Whoosh! Whoosh! Six streaks of light cut across the heavens, rapidly approaching the mountain. Each streak emanated a vital aura at the Overlord level, and as they drew near, their faces filled with undisguised shock and excitement.

“By the heavens!”

“Such an enormous ore mountain?”

“A treasure trove!”

“A massive treasure trove! Haha! We’ve truly struck it rich!” The six Immortal Court powerhouses momentarily lost all composure, their demeanors crumbling before this staggering discovery.

Their excitement was perfectly understandable. Though their true selves were merely Saints, they still possessed sufficient discernment to recognize the value of the mountain before them. With a brief inspection, they understood that such a massive ore mountain was worth more than they could properly comprehend.

As the first to discover it, all six would receive considerable rewards—rewards that might seem trivial to a True Saint, but for mere Saints, would certainly exceed the wealth they had accumulated over a lifetime.

“A treasure trove of this magnitude hasn’t appeared around the Twin Purple Mountain for a very, very long time,” one of the Immortal Court Saints remarked.

“Indeed, it’s been ages.”

“It seems we’re blessed with extraordinary providence today.” The Saints bantered excitedly among themselves.

“We should report this immediately.”

“Yes, we must alert the True Saints.” They had already begun relaying news of their discovery through the Immortal Court Voidrealm.

Next, they attempted to collect this massive ore vein stretching over a hundred thousand li, with peaks soaring more than ten thousand li high. Yet to their shock, they found that they couldn’t move it at all.

Boom! One Saint, unable to restrain himself, unleashed his ultimate technique, attempting to blast a section loose from the ground. His efforts yielded nothing; the mountain remained unmoved, as though he had been a mere ant trying to topple a continent.

“The pressure is overwhelming!”

“This—”

“This ore vein is simply too vast. It has generated its own essence, radiating power like an ownerless Chaos Treasure. It far exceeds our ability to subdue.”

“As expected of a super-large Chaos Orichalcum vein.” The Saints quickly understood their predicament, resignation coloring their voices.

The fact that only their mana bodies and ether bodies were present wasn’t the main limitation. Even if their true selves were here, unleashing Peak Saint power, they would remain helpless before such a grand treasure.

“We’ll need to wait for the True Saints to arrive.”

“Only the true self of a True Saint can hope to suppress its essence, then break down the vein into sections. After that, it must be entrusted to True Saints skilled in equipment forging, or perhaps Immortal Eminences, who can refine the Chaos Orichalcum over time.” The Saints discussed the process with the familiarity born from years of adventuring in the Ninth Chaos Void.

“A True Saint has sent word that they’re en route,” one Saint announced. “We’re instructed to conceal our auras as thoroughly as possible to avoid detection by powerhouses from rival factions.”

“Simple enough.”

“This is Twin Purple Mountain, the heart of the Immortal Court’s territory in the Ninth Chaos Void, our central stronghold. The likelihood of encountering powerhouses from other factions here is almost negligible.” The Saints dismissed the concern with casual confidence.

“Wait!” Suddenly, one of the Saints paled.

She was a purple fox-like being with six tails, her shrill voice laced with unmistakable terror: “Not good! A True Saint approaches!

“A True Saint from another faction is approaching at high speed!” The six-tailed fox cried out in alarm. Through their detection array, she had sensed a being with a frighteningly powerful vital aura rapidly closing in on their position.

“What?”

“I sense it too.” The Saints, moments ago immersed in excitement, now all grew aware of the approaching presence.

They instantly confirmed that it was indeed a True Saint.

“Who could it be?”

“He is completely shrouded in black armor, impossible to identify. But his speed has already surpassed a hundred times the speed of light, indicating at least Peak True Saint level power…”

“I’ve never seen him before. Perhaps he wandered into the Twin Purple Mountain region by mere chance.”

“He’ll reach us at any moment.” The six Saints exchanged panicked glances, their earlier confidence evaporating.

Then, as one, they made their decision—to stand their ground and fight! Fleeing might preserve their lives, but would likely result in punishment later and the loss of their discovery rewards.

If they fought to defend the site, however, the Immortal Court headquarters would compensate them for their sacrifice if they died. And if the Immortal Court True Saints ultimately claimed the ore vein, their original discovery rewards would remain intact.

At worst, they would only lose their mana or ether body.

“Let’s combine our strength.”

“Perhaps invoking the Immortal Court’s name might scare him off. Our True Saints will arrive soon.” The leader of the six Saints spoke in a low, determined voice.

Moments later, Wu Yuan arrived.

Without uttering a single word, he immediately annihilated the mana and ether bodies of all six Saints.

This Twin Purple Mountain truly deserves its reputation as the Immortal Court’s core region in the Ninth Chaos Void. He mused to himself. Their scouts arrived even faster than I did.

Too bad their martial strength proved lacking. Even after so long, they didn’t manage to collect the Chaos Orichalcum vein. Wu Yuan murmured softly. Well, don’t blame me then.

Wu Yuan’s gaze fell upon the enormous ore vein.

Boom! With a flicker of movement, Wu Yuan’s true body manifested in full, instantly growing to a towering height of one million li.

In the vast cosmic sea, a true body that could reach such dimensions was utterly terrifying. Even among True Saints who had mastered the Eternal Matter Body to a large degree, very few could achieve this feat.

Suddenly, the once-massive ore vein appeared tiny before Wu Yuan. He simply reached out his giant hand, his enormous palm descending upon the ore vein as if grabbing a small iron lump.

It’s seriously hard. Wu Yuan observed quietly. Come!

He exerted his strength!

Boom! True Saint mana, coupled with the power of his Eternal Matter Body, erupted simultaneously as he attempted to collect the ore mountain.

Heavy! Wu Yuan felt as if he were a mortal trying to lift a weight of ten thousand catties. His body strained, unable to move it at all.

I can’t collect it? Wu Yuan’s eyes flashed with cold determination.

With a thought, the radiance of his self-created Dao burst forth, working with his ether to infiltrate the ore mountain’s inner essence, attempting to permeate and control it from within.

As long as I can control the mountain’s essence, I can collect it right away. A hint of urgency crossed Wu Yuan’s face. I must be quick!

If he couldn’t collect this ore mountain before the Immortal Court True Saints arrived, his situation would become far more complicated.

At the foot of Twin Purple Mountain sprawled an impressive complex of halls arranged in concentric circles, all cloaked by an invisible array.

This fortified encampment served as the main camp for the Immortal Court’s powerhouses in the Ninth Chaos Void. Nearly every powerhouse who ventured into this realm would pause here to rest and recuperate before continuing their journeys.

Deep within the heart of the hall complex loomed a colossal temple, its entire structure purple in color. Inside the temple, nine figures with immense auras had gathered, emitting eternal Dao resonance. They appeared slightly hazy, as though they existed partially in another dimension altogether.

True Saints.

These nine figures were the true selves of True Saints, the core fighting force of the Immortal Court in the Ninth Chaos Void. While their mana bodies and ether bodies roamed freely in search of treasures, these nine True Saint true selves maintained constant vigilance over their main camp.

The stillness of their meditation shattered when an urgent voice cut through the air.

“Mu Jing! Yan Huo!”

In that instant, the eyes of all nine True Saints within the temple snapped open, their attention razor-sharp. Simultaneously, fourteen additional projections materialized throughout the chamber—fellow True Saints of the Immortal Court who were either guarding distant regions or embarking on quests elsewhere in the Ninth Chaos Void.

Every gaze turned toward one particular projected figure draped in fiery red robes, his face contorted with anxious urgency.

“What’s the matter, Mu Jiang?” asked the True Saint named Mu Jing. His features were strikingly handsome, giving the initial impression of human heritage, save for the long, sinuous tail that extended from his lower back.

“A Chaos Orichalcum vein!” Mu Jiang’s words tumbled out, his voice quickening. “Worth dozens of Xiantian Instruments. It just emerged beside Twin Purple Mountain. A mysterious True Saint is currently attempting to claim the vein as we speak.”

With a flourish of his hand, Mu Jiang conjured a light screen within the temple. It was a real-time projection captured by their detection arrays, showing the Chaos Orichalcum vein in detail.

“What?”

“Such an enormous vein?”

“This is—!” The assembled True Saints collectively inhaled, their breathing growing rapid with undisguised excitement.

It was common knowledge that most among their ranks possessed fewer than ten Xiantian Instruments, with the less fortunate owning merely two or three. Even when their true selves ventured forth, they often hesitated to carry these precious artifacts. The potential loss was simply too devastating to contemplate.

“This is our Immortal Court’s treasure.”

“Scum! How dare they trespass on Immortal Court territory to steal our treasure? They’re courting death!”

“Daring to rob our Immortal Court’s possessions?”

“No matter who it is, kill them!” The Immortal Court True Saints spoke in rapid succession, their eyes blazing with murderous intent as they glared at the towering figure shrouded in black armor within the projection.

The powerhouses of the Immortal Court had long considered themselves members of the number one force in the boundless cosmic sea. Who would dare challenge their authority? They were accustomed to plundering from others without consequence. Yet today, someone had the audacity to rob them in their own territory?

“The six Saint mana and ether bodies under my command have all been destroyed,” Mu Jiang continued urgently, his projection flickering with agitation. “I received the news and rushed over immediately. Judging by the size of his divine body, he has mastered an Eternal Matter Body to a large degree. I fear I alone cannot halt his progress.”

His voice grew more insistent. “You must come to my aid quickly. I will do my best to stall him until reinforcements arrive.”

“Mastering an Eternal Matter Body to a large degree?”

“His divine body is indeed formidable. He likely possesses Peak True Saint strength. We cannot afford to underestimate him.”

“Mu Jiang, proceed with caution,” the other True Saints cautioned as they observed the unfolding scene in the projection.

Then, as if by unspoken agreement, every True Saint turned toward two commanding figures at the center of the temple: True Saint Mu Jing and True Saint Yan Huo.

These two led the Immortal Court’s forces in the Ninth Chaos Void, both wielding Full True Saint strength and ranking within the top hundred on the True Saint Rankings. True Saint Yan Huo was particularly terrifying, ranked twelfth among all True Saints.

Over ten thousand True Saints existed across the nine megaverses. To distinguish oneself among such vast numbers and reach the pinnacle spoke volumes about their capabilities.

“Yan Huo, you should handle this,” True Saint Mu Jing suggested with a subtle smile.

“Very well,” responded True Saint Yan Huo, his crimson battle armor gleaming as he gave a curt nod.

His piercing gaze swept over the other seven True Saints. “Everyone, let us investigate this matter together. If Mu Jiang fails to stop this interloper, we must divide our forces to track him down efficiently.”

“Agreed!”

“Mu Jing alone is sufficient to maintain security here.” The seven True Saints nodded in unison and rose to their feet.

Boom! Boom! Boom! True Saint Yan Huo immediately led the seven True Saints out of the hall. They swiftly divided into three teams, departing in different directions toward the coordinates of the Chaos Orichalcum vein. This was a precaution in case of any unforeseen complications.

Inside the temple, True Saint Mu Jing addressed the projections of the remaining True Saints. “Everyone here is stationed in other regions. Should Yan Huo and the others fail to intercept in time, the responsibility of interception will fall to you.”

“Understood!”

“Rest assured.”

“Twin Purple Mountain is the heart of our Immortal Court’s territory in the Ninth Chaos Void. This thief absolutely cannot escape.” The other True Saints spoke with unwavering confidence.

The true selves of True Saints rarely took action. However, a massive Chaos Orichalcum vein like this was incentive enough to mobilize all twenty-some True Saints of the Immortal Court.
