A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1589 - 1589: This Place Is Like A Story

Archer felt the aches slowly go away by the time he was fully relaxed. Ashoka, Maeve, and Inara had been fussing over him, putting a smile on his face as he drank some sea, watching the winter storm worsen outside. The window was rattling thanks to the wind shaking it, but this put him at ease.

While sitting there, the orange-haired beauty approached him, a warm smile crossing her face. ”Looks like this will get worse, we’ve ordered everyone inside so they won’t get hurt during their patrols.”

”Good, we don’t need anyone freezing to death,” he replied, taking a sip of the hot tea in his hands. ”How are you three doing? Not shivering anymore?”

The young woman shook her head. ”No, thanks to you putting up the shield that blocked out most of the weather. Now Ashoka isn’t hiding under the covers,” she revealed.

Archer nodded just as Inara joined them. The lioness wrapped her arms around his shoulder and kissed his cheek. ”Thank you for keeping us warm, handsome. It’s good to see you after all the fighting during the war,” she warmly said.

He felt a shiver run down his spine when her lips brushed against his ear, prompting him to reach up and stroke her fluffy ear, making the older woman sigh in delight before letting out a moan as the sensations rushed across her body. Maeve giggled at her reaction, but soon enough, the lioness leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss.

A few heartbeats later, Archer pulled Inara closer, guiding her onto his lap. She let out a soft, surprised gasp, her laughter bubbling up like a melody as she settled comfortably against him. Their lips met again in a slow kiss, a quiet dance of warmth that seemed to pause the world around them.

When they finally parted, Inara’s eyes sparkled, her voice low and playful as she murmured. ”That was incredible, handsome. I absolutely adore it when you shower us with affection like this, it makes my heart feel so full.”

Archer gave her a charming smile. ”Good, because I enjoy making you women happy, but I need to check on the Terravians; it seems like they’re getting involved in the war,” he said, lifting the lioness off him.

Inara frowned but nodded. ”I understand, they’ve been sending all kinds of monsters to attack the wall, thanks to the cannons, we pushed them back the first few times,” she explained.

Just then, a buzzing sound rang out as groups of Venomwings flew past the tower they were in, carrying creepy-looking humanoids. The lioness was shocked when she saw this, but it only got worse as the horde of Broodmaw surged over the war before clashing with more monsters.

A battle ignited as the mantis-like creatures descended upon the Terravian beasts with fury. The air crackled with the sounds of tearing flesh and roars; the enemy was fighting but struggling against his beasts’ overwhelming numbers. Simultaneously, the thunderous boom of cannons reverberated across the battlefield.

Projectiles arcing through the sky before slamming into the rear of the enemy swarm. Each impact unleashed a cascade of fiery explosions, sending shockwaves that rattled the ground and scattered debris in all directions. Archer stood by the window, his heart pounding as he marveled at the speed of the Broodmaw’s response.

The Broodmaw and Venomwings, bolstered by the artillery, turned the tide of battle. For over an hour, the clash raged on, blades clashing, cannons roaring, and the air thick with the acrid scent of smoke and blood. The creepy humanoid invaders began to falter under the counterassault.

Their numbers dwindled as his monsters pressed forward. Finally, when the dust settled and the last of the enemy retreated into the shadowed mountains in the far distance, the battlefield fell silent. Archer exhaled as the enemy had been driven back; their once-overwhelming swarm had been reduced to a scattered remnant.

Following that, he approached the nearby door and spoke to the three women. ”I’m going to look for whoever was controlling that horde; they should be nearby.”

The trio agreed with warm smiles as they sat around the fireplace. Archer teleported and reappeared outside, the chill of the landscape instantly clawing at his skin, but he didn’t hesitate. With a wave of his hand, he created a swirling current of warm air that enveloped him like a cocoon, warding off the frigid bite of the wind.

His breath steadied, and he closed his eyes, focusing inward as he extended his mana in a pulsing wave, a sonar probing the land for any sign. The energy rippled outward, brushing against the jagged rocks and twisted flora of the Terravian wilderness. After a moment, a faint but only one signature pinged back.

‘Oh look at this,’ he mused.

Archer sensed a lone enemy, lurking just a few miles away. His eyes snapped open, and he took off, his boots pounding against the frozen ground as he pursued the distant Terravian creature. The thrill of the chase surged through him, his senses heightened as he loved fighting Terravians.

His wings beat against the wind as he sliced through the air until spotting the enemy rushing toward a black portal that opened nearby. This caught his attention, prompting him to try to catch up, but the humanoid turned, giving him the middle finger before stepping through.

He flew right through it thanks to not being quick enough when it vanished. Archer stopped, hovering above the snow-covered land and ranted. ”Fucking things and their portals, I need to get into their realm.”

Following that, Archer took to the skies, his form cutting through the crisp air as he soared back toward the towering wall that protected their hard-won territory. A mile away, he slowed, hovering in place to take in the awe-inspiring sight of his creation. The massive structure stretched endlessly across the horizon.

Encircling the entire land they had claimed, the wall stood as a barrier, its stone surface gleaming faintly under the pale light of the setting sun. Rising an imposing fifty meters into the sky, it was a marvel of both engineering and magic, its construction a blend of magic and the labor of countless hands.

At regular intervals, towers extended up the wall’s length. Each tower was strategically placed, offering defenders views for miles in every direction, ensuring no enemy could approach. He was happy with this as the Alliance couldn’t break it because if they attacked, the legions would surge toward them.

Following that, Archer approached his personal tower where the three women were waiting and landed on a balcony. Once he passed through the barrier, he dismissed his magic, allowing the hot air to wash across his skin. He shook his head and stepped into the living room, where he noticed the ladies had gone to sleep thanks to the weather.

‘Let’s go see the twins and Belle,’ he thought.

Archer vanished seconds later, only to reappear in the treehouse where the young women were looking out one of the big windows. Cece pointed at something. ”Look at that, it’s massive!”

”I didn’t think they were real anymore,” the blonde added. Discover more novels at Novl_Fire(.)net

”This world is strange, full of monsters when Earth only has animals,” Sasha commented.

He grew curious and approached the three only to see a herd of dinosaurs lingering below the treehouse. Archer chuckled. ”Those were found in a lost forest I was trapped in many years ago. Peaceful monsters but will fight if forced,” he revealed.

Cece spun around first, a big smile stretching across her face before she lunged at him. The blue-eyed beauty wrapped her arms around his shoulders and placed a passionate kiss against his lips. The young woman pressed her chest against his, sending his lust soaring, but he ignored it for now.

Once they separated she spoke with a bright smile. ”This place is like a story, Arch, has mother, Micha or Ellie been here?”

”I don’t think so,” he answered. ”So much has gone on, sometimes I forget that it’s here.”

Following that, Sasha and Belle greeted him before the brown-eyed woman asked. ”Could you take us back to Earth? We still have classes to attend or we’ll be in trouble.”

”Of course,” Archer nodded and opened a portal back to the car park. ”Step through, ladies.”

The four returned to Earth, landing in a serene national park. He noticed the ranger station stood empty, with no vehicles in sight except for Sasha’s car. The women looked around as Cece spoke. ”Why does it seem creepy?”

”Maybe the fog coming in from the mountains?” Belle suggested, pointing toward the east.

Archer turned in that direction only to see black clouds above as thunder rumbled in the distance as Sasha spoke to the group. ”Let’s get going, I want to bath before getting in bed.”

Everyone jumped in as the young woman started the engine and took off toward the cabin as Cece turned to Belle. ”Are you coming with us or want Sash to drop you home?”

”Can I join you?” The blonde replied, a hopeful expression stretching across her face.
