A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1590 - 1590: They're Counting On You

Archer came back to reality when Sasha pulled up to the cabin. The lights in the quiet building were on, but the door was open. Isabella appeared, her eyes wide, only for a relieved expression to wash over the older woman. The twins climbed out of the car, followed by Belle as their mother approached.

”Where have you young ladies been?” She questioned in a stern tone. ”You didn’t answer the phone and vanished from the park?”

Moments later, Archer stepped out only to surprise the older woman, her blue eyes widened in surprise before she rushed over to him. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders, and she shoved his head into her cleavage, causing a sweet scent to rush into his nose as she finally spoke. ”Arch! It’s good to see you!”

He couldn’t reply as her soft skin enveloped him, but he moved back and spoke. ”Hello Isabella, didn’t the others tell you I was here?”

The short-haired woman glanced at Micha and Elli, who stepped outside, giving them a dirty look, ok but Archer took her mind away from that and gave her a passionate kiss; ss, she melted into his embrace. Her body molded against his as she returned the gesture with so much passion.

Following that, they broke apart as the older woman questioned. ”How long will you be here for?”

”Some time,” he answered honestly. ”I needed a break from the war, but it still calls me back.”

”Well, if that’s the case, how about me, Micha, and Ellie pamper you?” She suggested. ”I know my gorgeous niece has been dying to see you once again.”

”Yes I have but I understand that you run some kind of kingdom back on your new world,” the brunette commented when approaching.

Archer glanced at Ellie and smiled when he saw the love still in her gaze and let go off Isabella, the older woman stepped back as he walked toward his older sister/lover who he hadn’t seen in a while. He wrapped her in a hug and corrected her. ”It’s an empire El, and the war has got a lot worse.”

The young woman sighed in relief and hugged him. ”I know, sorry I’ve just missed you and all this chaos has stressed me out.”

Without warning, Archer sent a stream of mana into Ellie, when she felt this a shiver ran down her spine but she even calmed down, forcing a relaxed smile to cross her face when all the stress went away. He chuckled at this and revealed. ”I haven’t forgot about you Big Sis, I missed you so much.”

Ellie trembled at his words before replying. ”Don’t say that!” She hissed. ”You know what it does to me, Arch.”

Archer chuckled at this and whispered into her ear. ”That’s the point gorgeous.”

The brunette’s cheeky grin grew wide as she nodded. ”Go see Lexi, she’s been texting me non stop since hearing from you.”

”Alright, I’ll let the twins tell you everything that happened,” he revealed. ”Once I finish with Lexi, I’ll come back to see you three.”

Ellie nodded in understanding and Archer went to say his farewells to Micha, Isabella, the twins and Belle who made their way into the cabin that was massive now he looked at it properly. It was three stories tall, made out logs and looked cozy but nothing could beat his treehouse.

Following that, Archer vanished and materializing in Alexa’s room where she was busy typing away at a computer but before he could appraoch Brooke’s panicked voice echoed through the tattoo so everyone could here. ‘A Terravian God is approaching Draconia, he’s destroyed the Death Mist allowing the Alliance ships through.’

At those words his aura exploded, causing Alexa to turn around only to see him enraged as he vanished back to Thrylos and materialize in the middle of a battle as several of his women tried to keep the enemy back. Kassandra flew toward the being, landing a dozen powerful punches only to get flung back.

A blinding white beam tore through the battlefield, a searing lance that crashed into the Terravian with cataclysmic force. The air itself screamed, but the enemy swatted Agrippina’s attack aside as if it were nothing. Archer’s eyes burned, his heart pounding like a war drum, but the sight that shattered him was Brooke’s broken body, bloodied and crumpled in the dirt.

She struggled to rise, her trembling hand clutching her swollen belly. The baby was safe. She was alive. But that did nothing to quench the inferno of rage erupting within him. Then the Terravian turned its malevolent gaze to Lucrezia, locking on her heart. Time slowed as the killing blow surged forward.

His world turned red as he hurled himself in front of her, his wing unfurling like a shield. The enemy’s attack struck true, punching through his wing and tearing into his shoulder with a sickening crunch. Blood sprayed, his vision blurred, but pain was nothing compared to the wrath consuming him.

The Terravian faltered, its scream splitting the heavens as his jaws snapped shut, crunching through its flesh like a guillotine. The god’s arm dangled uselessly, blood gushing from the wound but it approached so fast he couldn’t see its movements, he was struck in the chest by it’s fist.

Archer carved a blazing arc through the sky as he slammed into the jagged face of a mountain. Stone shattered, the earth groaned, but the Terravian pursued him as if it was a game. Its blows rained down like hammers, each strike splintering his scales into shards and cracking the bones beneath.

Pain seared through him, a white-hot inferno, but he clung to consciousness, his will forged in defiance. A sudden rift tore open the air and from it stepped Freya, his eldest daughter from whatever furture she lived in, no longer the child he remembered. Her face, now hardened by years, burned with determination. Find the newest release on novel·fire·net

Her blue eyes locked onto his, wide with fear. With a sweep of her hands, she brought up a shield of powerful mana , its surface rippling like liquid starlight, holding the Terravian’s at bay. ”Fight, Papa!” Freya’s voice cut through the chaos, sharp and desperate. ”Mother Brooke, Luce, Ari, they’re counting on you! Get up!”

His daughters words pierced deeper than any wound, but his broken body betrayed him, limbs heavy as mountains. Then the unthinkable happened. The Terravian’s claws glowed, and with a single, brutal swipe, it shattered the shield. The force struck the white-haired woman, hurling her backward through a portal she summoned.

The rift snapped shut, leaving only silence where her cry had been. Archer’s world stopped. The sight of his daughter, his lovely Freya, struck down every wall he’d ever built, every ounce of restraint he’d clung to over years of battle and loss. No one touched his children. No one.

A guttural roar erupted from his core, shaking the heavens and splitting the mountainside. His fractured bones screamed in protest, but rage was his fuel now, a primal fire that burned hotter than any star. Scales cracked and reformed, his eyes blazed. With a surge of raw, untamed power, he launched himself at the enemy, ready to tear the heavens apart.

Moments later, Archer’s roar shook the earth, a sound that could wake the dead and silence the stars. ”HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER!”

His fury detonated into a supernove as he began to change. Claws lengthened into razor-sharp scythes. His teeth gleamed, elongated and savage, as his body pulsed. With a single, earth-shattering lunge, he struck the grey-skinned deity, his blow a storm of vengeance that sent the god hurtling backward, crashing through the sky like a comet of ruin.

Panting, blood dripping from his mangled body, he looked around only to see Freya was gone. His anger took over and he brutalized the Terravian, slashing at its body while ignoring all the damage he was receiving. When the enemy god realized he might actually die he fled the fight.

He refused to let the enemy escape and pursued it. A dark portal materialized, and the creature slipped through. This time, he dove in after it, the entrance sealed shut behind them. Leaving Thrylos and Earth behind, he ventured into the unknown to confront the being that harmed Freya.

Realizing he had entered another world, Archer felt a surge of dark mana flood his body, intensifying his pain until he could no longer chase the Terravian. He crashed into a dark mountain range, collapsing amid the rubble. Unconscious and concealed from the outside thanks to being buried beneath the debris.

Archer was out cold for a while until he felt something soft, prompting him to open his eyes only to see a grey skinned stranger staring at him with big red eyes and white hair tied into a high ponytail just like her mother. At that moment, he knew who she was, his hands reached up and rubbed the young woman’s cheek, making her happy.
