Chapter 1943: Seeing The Old Gnome Again II

Chapter 1943: Seeing The Old Gnome Again II

The Old Gnome was finding it hard to comprehend what was happening; how did he not sense the presence of so many people? How could a small brawl be happening here and not a single ripple of it came out?

Even while he was standing outside only a few meters away from them, he still could not sense anything. Of everything, what infuriated him beyond words was Grey’s smiling face. He was about to rush in when he was hit by an invisible blockage.

‘So that’s how it is?’ Realization dawned on him after hitting the invisible blockage, now he knew why even he did not notice anything. There was an array formation laid out here that made sure everything happening here, including sounds did not go outside, making it impossible for help to come.

If not for the Old Gnome being a little paranoid because of Grey, he would have not bothered to come and check this out.

The Old Gnome made a grabbing motion, and the air before him visibly squirmed. Dragging it, like a cloth, the transparent blockade was destroyed, allowing the Old Gnome to get a better idea of the strengths of everyone inside. He was about to rush over to Grey when he noticed he was locked onto by another person. Looking in the direction he felt the gaze, he saw the man who was a Peak Sovereign.

The man had already dealt with one of the Ninth stage Sovereigns, and the other could barely put up with Grey’s vicious attacks. It’s not that the Ninth stage Gnome could not fight back, the looming threat of the man at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane made it impossible for him to even go all out, turning him into Grey’s punching bag.

To be honest, the man was quite impressed with Grey’s efficiency. When they snuck in, it only took Grey a few seconds to completely isolate this place from the rest of the cave. He was someone who was hundreds of years old, and had journeyed with multiple top Arraymasters over the years, and this was a feat he only a few of them could achieve.

As soon as Grey isolated this place from the rest of the cave, he felt relaxed and did not bother when Grey exposed their presence. Other than Grey’s amazing prowess in array formations, the Bunny Leader’s concealment ability was genuinely out of this world. If the Bunny Leader was concealing just himself and Grey’s group, then he would not have been this impressed. The Bunny Leader concealed even a Peak Sovereign’s aura with such ease that he found it hard to believe. Even while seeing it, he still found it hard to believe.

The man was still thinking about the amazing abilities of the group when he heard the Old Gnome’s enraged roar, looking over, he recognized him as one of their previous opponents. The instant the Old Gnome destroyed Grey’s formation, he locked onto him, preparing his attack.

The Old Gnome was forced to take a step back, hurriedly preparing to defend his opponent’s attack.

The man smiled but did not attack, taking a glance at Grey and the others, he threw his supposed attack in the direction of the Ninth stage Sovereign Gnome Grey was still battling. It had only been a minute or so since they appeared, and even though Grey had the upper hand from the start, he still wasn’t able to take out his opponent in a short time.

The man knew that since the Old Gnome had removed the veil that isolated this place from the rest of the cave, the other Gnomes would come rushing in. Knowing that Grey was the strongest, he wanted to make sure Grey was free before the others came.

The man helping came as a surprise to Grey, all the same, he did not really care who killed the Gnome. He fully suppressed him and given a little more time, he would have ended the battle. From the man’s action, he could somewhat guess what the man was thinking.

Freeing himself, he signaled Klaus to also help out so they could take out the two Eighth stage Sovereign Gnomes Alice and Reynolds were dealing with.

The Old Gnome was irate, a fist made entirely of the wind element appeared in front of him, the fist was large enough to cover the entire room. After amassing enough power, the fist shot forward.

The man smirked and stood in front of Grey’s group, “I’ll entertain you.”

The man brought out a spear, stabbing it forward. The spear and the fist collided and sparks flew, both attacks rebounding off each other. The arm the man used in holding the spear vibrated, his palm going numb. Even with this, he did not let go of the spear, thrusting it forward once more.

The Old Gnome’s wind fist dissipated the moment it made contact with the second strike. The spear did not stop there, it continued forward in a menacing manner.

The Old Gnome brought out a weirdly shaped lance, thrusting it forward to meet with the spear of the man.

Both weapons struck, and the lance had the upper hand. Forcing the spear to the side, the Old Gnome consecutively struck out with his lance. The entire room was filled with an oppressive aura after the Old Gnome did this, with multiple lights shooting in different directions, with most aimed particularly at Grey.

The man noticed Grey was the Old Gnome’s target, in such a tight spot, it would be difficult for him to defend Grey from the Old Gnome’s attacks. Taking a deep breath, his eyes turned sharp as he met the Old Gnome’s countless strikes with strikes of his own. His spear moved just as much as the Old Gnome, each light blocking the lights the lance of the Old Gnome released. He was not able to block them all. Small cuts appeared on different parts of his body, yet he stood firm, blocking Grey’s group from getting hit by any of the lance lights.
