Chapter 4022 - Ignorant to Their Limits

The group of wonderians from Empyrean Yin-Yang knew that Tianming and the others were on their way. They got into a defensive formation, all of them sitting and waiting for their foes to come. Divine wonders were portable formations, at the end of the day. Even though there were said to be a thousand wonderians, each wonderian was actually a paired couple. As such, they had 2000-plus divine wonders, making them hyper adept at defensive battles.

Among the Eightpart Pantheons, wonderians were the strongest at ground battles. Coupled with the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror, they had nothing to fear. Their seniors knew that Tianming and the others had made their move; as they informed the wonderians, they also told the rest to send out reinforcements.

"As long as a little bit of time passes, we'll be able to pincer them with our reinforcements!"

"Nobody panic. It's over for that flea."

"Their move is nothing short of suicidal. They know the mirror will be their doom."

"If they had any brains to begin with, they wouldn't have dared to resist the Eightpart Pantheons!"

The wonderians were completely fearless, confident that victory was already within their grasp.

"I have good news for all of you," said Taiyang Zhao, dressed entirely in white. His voice was loud and prominent. Casting a cold look at Tianming and the rest, he said, "The other side has started invading the Ninelives Cave. The battle’s already begun."

The wonderians chuckled in anticipation. "They're sending the strong among them to steal the mirror, eh? It isn’t a wrong move by any means, but if they had enough strength to take it from us, why would they need to hide in a cave in the first place?"

"They've split up their forces, leaving those in the Ninelives Cave weak. It's only a matter of time before they lose. We have more people here, too, not to mention the godshaker-class cosmic relic. We also have reinforcements coming our way, so it isn’t a big deal."

"Everyone, be extra careful. We shouldn’t underestimate our foes. Once we deliver the mirror, we'll be able to greatly minimize our casualties."

Even though the wonderians were proud by nature, they had a good habit: staying close together. They might view the enemy with contempt, but they definitely wouldn’t underestimate them, which was clear from all 2000-plus deployed divine wonders. They looked practically impenetrable.

Using the time advantage that they had, they didn't even need to fight Tianming in a direct fight at all. All they needed to do to win was defend their positions.

Taiyang Zhao and Taiyin Yuan stood like two cold statues at the center, instructing the other geniuses as they layered their defensive wonders one over another.

"Nothing but annoying rats." Dense cosmoforce surged on Taiyin Yuan's black palm. The black astral energy filled the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror, causing its black parts to move. Taiyang Zhao did the same, moving the white parts. The fact that they were planning to use their killer weapon despite having an overwhelming advantage showed how careful and disciplined the wonderians were.

As the yin-yang fish on the mirror began moving, black and white clashed and blended together, forming a monochrome galaxy within which things were constantly colliding. A powerful resonance emanated all across the battlefield.

There were practically no weaknesses that Tianming could take advantage of! The difficulty of their mission had skyrocketed.

"They're nothing but insects that are ignorant to their limits," Taiyang Zhao mocked.

"We always thought that those from the Primordial Sands survived because they were powerful, or that it was merely a consequence of universal laws. How else could they still have anywhere to linger even after the Eightpart Pantheons conquered the boundless universe?" Taiyin Yuan said, shaking her head and sighing.

They continued charging up the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror, amplifying the resonance even more. Then it unleashed a beam of black and white that shot out of the two thousand divine wonders toward Tianming's group. Tianming was able to witness the might of the super weapon with his own eyes!

"Dodge!" They were no fools and had long since been ready to react. Some of them scattered, while Tianming and the other few strongest were willing to bait the attacks of the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror to protect the weaker ones. The instant the beam landed, Tianming immediately helped a few people dodge it using Meow Meow's blinding speed. The beam shot over his head and easily burned off half of his hair; it would surely be rather destructive to get squarely hit by it.

"And that's the power from just two divine wonders.... When they have time to charge the mirror up with more than a thousand, it'd definitely be able to pierce Ninelives Cave!" The thought was horrific to even imagine.

"Is everyone fine?" Lin Chaoge anxiously asked. He had gigantic 67-primal wings, marking him as one of the top geniuses of the Primordial Sands.

"They're fine!" Tianming said after scanning the ranks.

"Keep going according to plan!"

"Yeah!"

The two of them immediately started moving once more. Tianming took Zi Zhen with him to attack the second-ranked couple, Taiyang Zhao and Taiyin Yuan. Lin Chaoge brought his comrades from the Primordial Sands to disrupt the formation of the divine wonders and prevent them from coming to their leaders' aid. Moran tagged along to support them. They would go up against a thousand opponents!

Even though attacking on two fronts was even harder, they simply had no choice but to press on! Lin Chaoge had wanted to join Tianming as well, but Tianming still had him lead the others against the defending wonderians. Without him, there was no way the fifty-plus others could hold up against a thousand wonderians.

Tianming and Zi Zhen moved fast, charging toward the enemy’s ranks. He was a quasi cosmic god, while she was a sixth-level cosmic god. Before they even arrived, tens of abilities from his beasts crashed into the divine wonders. He had expected to make an opening with them, but to his surprise, any divine wonder that was breached was quickly covered up by even more!
