Chapter 1967: Using the Trump Cards (Part 1)

Staring at the scene before them, the trio could not help but have disgusted and weird expressions on their faces.

“Are they not afraid of constipation?” asked Arthur, seemingly trying to liven up the atmosphere a little.

“I don’t think it is in their dictionary,” commented Leonard while taking out a crimson pill from his bag, ready to consume it at any time.

It was a Berserk Pill that he had gotten from Scar before going for this operation. It was a special pill used by the warriors of the Asad Tribe to arouse all their potential, which would make them erupt with extreme power and overwhelming strength right after consumption.

Within this period, the strength of the said warrior would be elevated by at least a whole realm, making them experience what they could do with their fullest potential.

Usually, this pill was used during a special ritual within the tribe, which was meant for those undergoing a coming-of-age ceremony.

It was one of the most important rituals within the tribe, where they could prove themselves and become a true warrior.

During this ritual, they would be facing a powerful beast or entity in a life-or-death battle. If they survived the battle, the bloodline within their veins would be awakened for a second time and unlock all their potential.

Leonard was supposed to undergo this ritual in the tribe once Scar had brought him back to their homeland. That was also where he was supposed to fully inherit the legacy of the Asad Tribe.

However, during the current circumstances, Scar felt that Leonard would face such a danger, which was comparable to the situation that he was supposed to have during the ritual. It could even be a more dangerous one, which could give him a much better effect.

The more dangerous the situation and the more desperate the warrior was during the ritual, the stronger they would squeeze their potential in the process.

The only problem would be what was going to happen after the effects of the Berserk Pill ran out.

Right after unlocking all the hidden potential and awakening the bloodline for the second time, the young warrior would become extremely weakened, losing all the capabilities to move, much less fight.

The side effects would be so serious that they had to get immediate attention right after the ritual ended. Then they would have to rest on the bed for at least an entire week before they could fully recover.

This process would be the most important as well, especially when it was when the body would fully adjust to the new set of powers that they would be getting after the second awakening.

What worried Scar more was the density of the warrior’s blood flowing in Leonard’s veins. Despite having a noble background within the tribe, the young man’s bloodline seemed to be almost nonexistent, even when compared to the regular warriors of the tribe.

This was why he was very displeased about the father of this kid, who hailed from the fallen Solomon Kingdom.

The Mentalist’s Bloodline did not go well with the Ancient Warrior’s Bloodline, especially when both bloodlines were quite strong on their own right.

Fortunately, Leonard’s Warrior’s Bloodline was much thicker than what he had gotten from his paternal side due to the unfortunate incident that happened to him when he was abducted before.

That incident had somehow become a fortunate one, since it had awakened his warrior’s bloodline and dominated his father’s bloodline.

At the same time, this situation with his bloodline had also made it quite feasible for him to squeeze more potential within him, especially when his bloodline was among the most noble ones within the Asad Tribe.

However, it also made it much dangerous for Leonard to undergo the ritual under such conditions.

Scar could only hope that nothing with extreme danger would happen to the kid once he decided to use the Berserk Pill.

He could also only put his trust in what Nathan had said during their discussion – the destiny that Evangeline had foresaw about Leonard.

Shin and Arthur had no idea about all of these. All they knew was that Leonard had a Berserk Pill that could forcefully increase his realm for a certain period and erupt with power that could overwhelm those on the same realm in terms of physical strength.

They also knew about the serious side effects after consuming it, but they were not aware of the true consequences during and after the entire process.

“That is the one that you are going to use?” Shin frowned quite deeply after seeing the pill.

He was aware of the other trump cards that Leonard had from his arsenal. From what he knew, this pill should be the strongest one, but it also came alongside serious side effects.

“We don’t have a choice. We have to stop those guys,” replied Leonard while staring at two Unforgiven Ones, who were still in the middle of devouring the others.

From what they could sense, the three were aware that these guys were slowly growing stronger and charging toward the next realm, which was the Domain Realm.

If they let them continue, then the situation would surely make it much more dangerous for the three of them.

“I’ll create an opportunity for you two, just make sure to finish them off with one strike,” he added before activating the inheritance of the Thunder Lord to the highest.

He was planning to include this power alongside the awakening process, increasing the efficiency of the ritual.

He would be taking advantage of this to unify all the powers within him.

Crackle! Crackle!

The crimson lighting danced around Leonard with a very strong intensity, creating a violent storm around him.

Taking this opportunity, Leonard swiftly threw the Berserk Pill into his mouth and swallowed it immediately after.

Boom!

Not long after, an overwhelming power erupted from his body, causing his bulging muscles to expand a little and increasing his size to a noticeable degree.

The fingers on both hands and feet had grown a bit longer alongside his nails that were turning into sharp claws, a primitive beast. His teeth, particularly the canines, grew longer and sharper, making him look like a real beast in human form.

His hair grew longer, taking the shape of a lion’s mane, while the tattoos spreading throughout his body shone brightly.

Roar!

Lifting his head, he faced the sky and released a thunderous bestial roar, which shook the entire place.

Boom!

Immediately after, his figure suddenly disappeared from his current position, leaving an explosion that blasted the ground and kicked up rock fragments in the process.

Swoosh!

He then reappeared before the two Unforgiven Ones, widening his arms. He then swiftly swung his claws at the two, sending a barrage of crimson flashes toward their direction.

Edmund could not help but frown deeply, especially after being interrupted from his ’meal’.

Looking at Leonard, who now had the aura of someone on the Void Manifestation Stage, Edmund could sense an immense threat coming from him.

Stepping forward, he faced the incoming sanguine flashes head-on with his sturdy body, which was currently covered with black earth armor.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Threading through the bombardment of those attacks, Edmund threw a punch forward, facing Leonard in a frontal confrontation.

Boom!

This erupted in a very strong collision that produced a storm of shockwaves stacking with one another.

Both sides were forced to take a series of steps back, trying to stabilize themselves from the residual forces of the previous clash.

Surprisingly, it was Leonard who had recovered his footing first. He then quickly stepped forward while stretching his right arm to the side, calling the battleaxe back to him.

Bang!

Immediately after, he lunged forward, dragging the battleaxe behind before swiftly swinging it down multiple times and sending another barrage of sanguine flashes toward his opponent.

Responding almost immediately, Edmund threw a series of punches forward, which produced a barrage of air currents that bombarded the incoming sanguine flashes.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

While the two were too focused on exchanging moves with one another, Voss, who was busily devouring the other Unforgiven One, divined his focus and sent a batch of roots toward Leonard.

Whoosh!

He was planning to disrupt the rhythm of the latter by obstructing him with those deadly roots.

Leonard remained unfazed despite facing the two, which was also due to the effects of the Berserk Pill that he had just consumed.

Roar!

Releasing yet another thunderous bestial roar, Leonard wielded his battleaxe and intensified the beastly aura that he was releasing before throwing a series of slashes around him, which turned into a sanguine storm.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

In the meantime, Arthur and Shin were idle.

Arthur took out a golden scale from his dimensional bag. It was quite big for a scale, which was as big as his palm.

This golden scale was releasing a somewhat blinding luster, which carried an intense and overwhelming aura of an ancient dragon.

Placing this scale near his spear, it suddenly transformed into flowing light and melded with the latter.

Roar!

There seemed to be a majestic roar of a dragon coming from the spear as Arthur channeled all his Dragon Powers into it.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

At the same time, Shin had taken out the final batch of talismans that he had gotten from his mother, aside from the one that she warned him to use in the most desperate situation.

After he infused his Mental Energy into these talismans, they started flying and revolving around him while he prepared to cast a Slaughtering Array.

Boom!

The two were waiting – waiting for the opportunity that Leonard would give them.
