Chapter 1966 - Capítulo 1966: Fighting the Unforgiven Ones (Part 4)
Capítulo 1966: Fighting the Unforgiven Ones (Part 4)
…
Shin clicked his tongue after looking at the abominable monster before them.
Voss, who was currently under the effects of the special poison that Shin had released, was in such a hideous form.
He was now standing three meters in height with a skinny figure, which made him look like a dried corpse.
His entire body turned into something that looked like dried tree bark, which was constantly being petrified by some sort of energy. It was as if he became a humanoid tree himself.
His arms were quite long as well, which almost touched the ground. His legs, on the other hand, seemed to be much thicker, which were resembling the hind legs of a goat.
As for his head, it was an understatement to just call it something hideous. He no longer had a pair of eyes, while his mouth became much larger, along with sharp teeth sticking out of it, which also looked like a bunch of toothpicks irregularly stacked together.
He no longer had his hair as well. What was left on his head was similar stacks of sharp things he had on his mouth.
“Is he even the same guy as the one earlier?” he mumbled, while staring at this abomination.
Roar!
Ignoring Shin’s words, Voss, who had now become a monster, released an eerie roar that swept through the surroundings.
“Argh!”
This was not an ordinary roar as well since they accompanied by a strong mental attack, which somewhat affected the three.
Shin quickly regained himself by cleansing his mind with mentalism techniques while also releasing a wave of energy that swept through his brothers and calmed their minds as well.
Unfortunately, that brief moment was more than enough for the Unforgiven One Captain to press forward.
Boom!
He punched forward, which connected with Leonard and sent the latter flying.
Swoosh!
Boom!
Leonard spurted out a mouthful of blood after colliding with the nearby structure. That punch truly got him good, messing up with his innards and breaking quite a couple of bones.
Despite his powerful physique and strong defense, which were further enhanced by the unified forces of the three, the damage that he suffered was quite serious.
Tanking such a full-blown attack from a Void Manifestation Stage Expert when he was a realm lower was indeed not a good idea. Although it was a forced mistake that their opponent had created.
Bang!
The Unforgiven One Captain naturally did not want to let such an opportunity slip by. He quickly kicked the ground and swiftly propelled himself forward, chasing after Leonard, who was still in the middle of recovering himself.
Roar!
However, Arthur had obstructed him once again.
Shu! Shu! Shu!
Arthur threw a series of thrusts and stabs with his spear, which suddenly turned into a swarm of dragons that assaulted his opponent from every direction.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
Boom!
The Captain forgot about Leonard at this moment and faced Arthur with a barrage of powerful punches.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Each of his punches annihilated one of the golden dragons swarming at him. He had also started suppressing the latter with his overwhelming strength, which later broke through the dragon swarm and headed straight to Arthur’s abdomen.
Arthur was able to see through that attack by utilizing his Dragon Eyes. He swiftly pulled his spear and placed it in front of him, accurately blocking the incoming punch.
Boom!
Unfortunately, the strength behind that punch was much stronger than he had expected, sending him flying upon impact just like what happened to Leonard.
Swoosh!
Boom!
Arthur crashed into an abandoned building, making it collapse and burying him with its rubble.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Leonard had already picked himself up at that time and resumed attacking, leaving a series of deep footprints on the ground during his charge.

When he appeared before his opponent, the battleaxe that he was dragging behind was being held horizontally while releasing an intense sanguine flame created by his Natural Force.
Grr!
The familiar apparition of a crimson lion also appeared once again, covering Leonard while growling toward the Unforgiven One.

Roar!
While brandishing his battleaxe, the crimson lion opened its mouth wide, pouncing and biting onto the Unforgiven One, who was standing right before it.
Boom!
Unfortunately, this powerful attack seemed to have not much of effect against the target. The Captain seemed to casually catch the blade of the battleaxe right before it could fully reach its strongest momentum.
His arm had also been covered by a blackened earth armor, which prevented the blade of the ax from cleaving his arm and repelled the sanguine flames that were trying to burn him.
“You brats are already getting annoying,” said the captain as he stared down on Leonard, who was still ducking before him.
He then raised his other arm and pulled his fist back while the black earth armor covered his entire body.
He was about to throw down a powerful punch, planning to pound Leonard down on his knees, when a spear suddenly flew out of the pile of rubble in the distance.
Bang!
The spear transformed into a streak of golden light, which swiftly transformed into a raging dragon that headed straight to the Unforgiven One.

Roar!
The Captain frowned deeply after sensing the incoming attack. He was forced to take his gaze away from Leonard and turned toward the incoming dragon.
While keeping his grip over the battleaxe and refusing to let it go, he raised his other hand and opened his palm wide, seemingly planning to face the attack head-on and catch the incoming spear.
Boom!
Right after biting on the Unforgiven One, the golden dragon slowly dissipated and revealed the spear that was thrown out of the rubble earlier.
He was about to throw it back to where it came from when Leonard made his move.
Snap!
Leonard took the initiative to break one of the heads of the battleaxe, which was made of his Natural Force.
Shing!
He then adjusted his grip while turning toward the other direction and spinning around. He also used the momentum of his spin to swing the battleaxe and strike the Unforgiven One with it.
Roar!
The same crimson lion appeared behind him, pouncing forward for another and biting toward the target with its wide-open mouth.

Boom!
The hit connected directly at the exposed waist of his opponent, producing a loud sound upon impact.
However, Leonard frowned quite deeply after. His attack might have connected with his opponent, but it was clear that it did not deal that much damage, given that the opposing party did not budge even for an inch after receiving the attack.
“D*mn it!” he cursed before quickly disengaging from the fight and retreating as fast as he could.
The Captain wanted to give chase, but something interrupted him. Turning his gaze toward another direction, he saw Shin fighting against Voss, who had turned into a monster.
He saw that Shin was using a gorgeous flame to fight against Voss. The former was taking advantage of the situation to overwhelm the latter to a certain degree, countering the opponent in terms of elemental matchups.
With that in mind, the Captain decided to throw the spear toward Shin instead, giving Voss a bit of breathing space to reorganize his powers.
He could tell that Voss had suffered from the earlier explosion, which made his powers quite unstable. After all, those talismans contained a very strong power that could threaten even them.
If not for the special device implanted into their bodies, then the situation would be much more serious than it already was.
Swoosh!
Shin did not have to turn his head to know what was happening on the other side due to the Link Strengthening Array.
He swiftly retreated after sensing the incoming spear and decided to regroup with his brothers first before finding another way out of their predicament.
Bang!
At the same time, the pile of rubble that was burying Arthur suddenly exploded, sending debris flying everywhere.
He then swiftly regrouped with Shin and Leonard before stretching his hand out, calling the spear back to him.
“You two looked terrible,” commented Shin after seeing their appearance before sheathing his swords and taping the backs of the two.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Right at the same time, the gorgeous flame suddenly enveloped the two, seemingly trying to devour them.
However, instead of being burned to a crisp, the injuries of the two rapidly recovered. It had only taken them a few seconds before most of their injuries were healed.
Aside from the more serious ones, such as broken bones, they were mostly healed and ready for another round.
“Tsk! You sure are a broken character,” commented Arthur while wiping the blood dripping down from his forehead.
Leonard, on the other hand, spat to the side to remove the blood from his mouth before conjuring new blade heads for his battleaxe.
“How much longer?” asked Leonard while glaring at the two Unforgiven Ones, who currently transformed into their combat forms.
Shin knew what Leonard was talking about, how long he could keep the array active or how long it could last by itself. “Not that long, a few more minutes at most.”
“Tsk! I guess we don’t have a choice but to exhaust all our trump cards,” said Arthur from the side, planning to use all the things that he had gotten from the family before leaving for this mission.
Shin thought for a moment before nodding. “I guess we do have no other choice.”
He could still save his strongest talismans for the latter, but he could let Leonard and Arthur use their trump cards.
Even though he could tell that these so-called cards would most likely cost them serious consequences later, given the repeated warnings of their elders, they did not have a better solution for their current predicament.
On the other side, the Captain suddenly paused after hearing someone communicating with him through the earpiece that he was wearing.
Frowning deeply, he focused his attention and listened to the commands being issued from the other side of the line. [Wrap your side up, Edmund. The situation has become a bit trickier; another party has been involved.]
Furrowing his brows, the Unforgiven One Captain could not help but ask. “Another party? Who?”
There was a slight pause from the other side of the line before a heavy voice said. [The Asad Tribe has made its appearance. They’ve hit one of the important bases of the Black Serpent Mafia and razed it to the ground.]
“What does it have to do with us?” asked Captain Edmund.
[They are now eyeing one of ours as well. I don’t know where they have gotten the information, but they are about to strike the base as we speak.]
[We need the elders back at the base now since they are the only ones capable of traveling such a huge distance.]
Edmund slowly nodded his head, acknowledging the order. “I understand.”
“I assume that we have to disregard the rest then?” he asked.
There was another silence from the other side before that person asked. [Is it necessary?]
“Our situation here is a bit tricky as well,” answered Edmund.
Seemingly understanding something, that person answered. [I understand. You can do whatever to the rest, but keep Voss.]
“Got it,” answered Edmund before ending the call.
He then turned to Voss beside him and said. “Orders from the up – take the pills.”
Voss could not help but pause for a moment after hearing those words before nodding.
Boom!
In the next instant, he burrowed his arms into the ground before summoning a bunch of black roots, which swiftly entangled all the Unforgiven Ones around them.
“Sorry, Brothers. But the higher-ups have decided to sacrifice all of you,” said Edmund, ignoring the pleas and cries of those Unforgiven Ones.
Not long after, all of them were pulled toward the direction of the two leaders, who suddenly opened their mouths and started devouring everyone.
In the distance, Shin, Leonard, and Arthur could not help but stare dumbfounded at the scene, unable to understand what was happening.
“What are they doing?”
“What the heck!?”
“Yikes! It looks disgusting!”
