Chapter 1128 Day of the Funureal (Part 2)
Just like everyone else who had arrived at the Neverfall Clan base, rather than being led directly into the abyssal base, they were located in the preparation area and temporary built housing, a communal area.
The housing structures were built in a type of large circle, and then in the center were where several of the groups had set up seats, tables, and all sorts of other things. They had brought them from their own base to make it feel more homely for them.
In the circularly built structure, there were two openings from the north and the south where the housing structures weren’t built so close together. One had to enter from one side or the other depending on where they were coming from, and then park their carriages just behind the housing structures with the rest where members of the Neverfall Clan would look after them.
When they looked at the fancy carriages that were coming towards the entrance, they could see that there were quite a few.
“The Dark Magus,” one of the Clan heads said. “We’ve seen him a number of times, even at the wedding event and heard the rumors of what he had done at the Martial Arts Tournament. He even defeated Sha Mo and the rest of the Behemoth Clan. Quite the amazing person is coming here, and I wonder who he brings with him by his side.”
“Right, right, he can’t have done that on his own, those by his side are also just as important.”
The carriages had parked up by the side, and Rayna was standing there waiting to greet them all just as she had done with the others that had arrived.
When the first set of carriages opened, coming out from them was Alba along with the rest of the Crimson Crane. Her entire group, with their new weapons on display, shone brightly and had immediately caught the attention of the Demonic Faction.
“The Crimson Crane, they were just a Traveler group, I knew they were somewhat infamous, but I never imagined for them to…look like this. Just having them standing there, the aura coming off their bodies…what is this, were they always this powerful.”
The aura that could be felt wasn’t just their own, but also the weapons that they held. On top of those that had come out of the Crimson Crane carriage, there was also Anna, Zon, and an individual that surprised a large amount of them, Beatrix.
“Isn’t that…Beatrix, from the Light Faction, what is she doing with them. Didn’t she win the Martial arts tournament as well…why is she in the Demonic Faction.”
“SHHH!” Another demonic faction clan leader shouted. “Does that even matter, the fact is that she is traveling with them, which means she is part of the Dark Magus’s group. That means there needs to be a reason for all of this.”
Others were clearly displeased with seeing this and still felt like there was somewhat an overreaction of everything that involved the Dark Magus.
The next set of carriages had opened up, and the first one to come out was Amir. The principal of the Dark Faction, and somewhat the vice head of the entire Dark Faction since Raze was in between places most of the time.
Those that had come out with him were Ricktor, Mada, Liam, Safa, and Simyon. Those that used to be students that had caught the eyes of many of the Demonic Faction members in the past, but on top of that, there was also Mantis and Brack. Two of the most talented students that had belonged to the Demonic Faction.
“What is the Dark Magus doing bringing them along.” Another commented. “Those from the Dark Faction shouldn’t be welcome to the Demonic Faction so openly, even if he is the Dark Magus himself.”
“Maybe he’s trying to show the strength and how wide his power is. The fact that he has Mantis there and Brack. They’re almost trophies, trying to show how much of the Demonic Faction he has taken over already.
Lastly, the third set of carriages was seen opening, and the Dark Magus himself was seen coming out, wearing his special blazer, this time there was no mask on his face, and his white hair was in full view.
They could all see how clearly young the man that was sending waves through Pagna looked. Coming out right after him were also two important figures.
“It feels strange to come back, right?” Fixteen said.
“It certainly does,” Dame answered. “And the stares from those in the Neverfall Clan and the others in the Demonic Faction don’t exactly seem welcoming.”
“You’re right, it’s almost like they completely hate us…like we betrayed them or something.”
Both Dame and Fixteen walked, helping Raze navigate through all of this mess. As they marched forward, they saw Rayna standing there. The three groups had combined into one that was standing behind Raze in the front.
Seeing all of them in one place, it was quite the force that the Demonic Clan felt like none of them had a chance of stopping, even if they teamed up together. But it made them question, why did so many people continue to decide to unite under this man’s banner. Just what was the draw.

“I welcome you, Dark Magus,” Rayna said as she went to bow down her head.
“Stop,” Raze called out with his hand. “Our relationship is not like that. I am not in a position that is higher than yours, or lower than yours. We know each other well, and you have helped me out in countless situations.
“I do not ask anyone who is helping me to bow down to me to greet me….I…I..” Flickering thoughts were running through Raze’s mind. Of the pretentious people that were above in the world of Altiera.
“That is not a world I wish anyone to live in,” Raze answered. “Respect is something that needs to be earned, not a title that has no meaning or weight behind it. Actions are needed to support those words.
“Rayna, you shouldn’t be on that side…you should be on this side, so don’t bow down,” Raze claimed. “Let’s get through this whole thing together.”
With that, there was only one hour till the funeral to begin, and no one could have guessed what would entail this event.
