Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1131 The Time Is Upon Us

The situation was quite exciting for the Demonic Clan, who was watching one thing after the other occur. The Dark Magus and Lince fighting against each other, showing a display of skills.

It allowed the adrenaline to flow through their bodies. Witnessing strength and bouts was one of the favorite pastimes for those in the Demonic Clan.

Now, though, there was more gas that was being thrown into the fire that had already been brewing, as Fing and Han had arrived.

“Why are the two of you fighting, on a day like this!” Fing asked again, and he wasn’t alone, his brother was by his side as well.

Immediately, Lince had placed his daggers away as he looked towards the two, and bowed down.

“It’s my pleasure being invited to this event today. Me and your father were close,” Lince stated.

“Right, close enough to the point where you cause and do something like this on a day where we are meant to lay him to rest,” Fing complained.

The crowd was grumbling and talking amongst each other. They knew the strength and infamy of Fing and Han. It was always the two of them that would act out on the important tasks.

Whether that was in the Demonic Faction or outside, so the people were more clear on their strength than even Belil’s. It always felt like the two of them were being trained to take over the position in the Neverfall Clan one day.

Now, that day might have come, but there was just one variable on their mind.

“Did the two of you not know your father very well?” Lince finally said, as he continued to stay standing upright.

“What did you say?” Han asked. Usually the calmer of the two, was slightly enraged.

“I already told the two of you, that I was a good friend of your father’s,” Lince explained. “We were close in a number of different ways, and out of respect for him, I gave the two of you respect.

“I know what your father would like and dislike on the day of his death more than the two of you it seems, and I also know if he was there, he would have made it so the two of you respected me as well. I gave both of you courtesy and neither of you has shown it back in any way.”

The other Clan leaders, particularly the older ones, agreed as they nodded their heads in the background. Although they were here because of the Neverfall Clan, Lince was an incredibly large figure when it came to the Demonic Faction.

He was an elder and one of great power. Whereas Han and Fing were not yet the clan leaders of the Neverfall Clan. Yet, they had shown no respect to Lince, not even returning the bow.

Of course, to Raze, who still didn’t quite understand the courtesy or culture of those in Pagna, didn’t notice any of this.

“The two of you, in a time like this should be focusing on building your relationships, not taking them away,” Lince claimed.

After finishing those words, Lince was ready to walk away and had even turned his back, but almost immediately he turned around and lifted up his dagger, stopping fingertips embedded with Qi from reaching his throat.

“This is a new generation!” Fing claimed. “I’m tired of it, I’m tired of the people like you doing nothing but ordering us around, yet you want us to be the one that goes in first for this change.

“We are going to be a new era that changes things!” Fing shouted.

“And look at this, now you resort to attacking me, is that really alcohol that is now in that gourd?” Lince replied. “You attacked me, remember this, and it is not the same situation as me and the Dark Magus were fighting in before.”

Lince then scratched his dagger to the side and appeared right behind Fing. He then swung his foot into the side of Fing and kicked him down into the ground.

Fing threw his dagger along with his bandages down to the ground, ready to follow up with another attack, but a strange sound was heard, and with it, the daggers were hit and thrown off the path, hitting the ground next to Fing.

“I may not always agree with my brother’s actions, but this time the two of us are of the same mindset, and I will always protect my family,” Han said with the flute in his hand.

Fing had gotten off the floor, and he opened up his gourd, drinking the liquid and contents inside, and a giant explosive burst of Qi surrounded him.

The Demonic Clan members were wondering if they were going to see a full-on fight between Lince and both Han and Fing. Having something like this happen at this stage would solidify the positions within the clans again.

It was then that Fing had retracted both of his daggers and had combined the Qi into them both. The two brothers on the other side had charged their attacks, and both of them were thrown into the center.

They were ready to clash in the middle, until a giant wave of darkness had appeared between both of them. Appearing right down the center.

The darkness was dark magic, which had completely obliterated both of the Qi and created a solid line in the floor. When the Dark Magic began to disappear, Raze was seen standing there in its place.

“The Dark Magus…stopped all of those attacks.”

“Maybe this is going to be a two against one, since Lince and the Dark Magus seemed to be pretty close with one another.”

“Yeah, or maybe he thinks it’s just unfair.”

Standing next to the Dark Magus was another individual.

“Stop it,” Rayna said. “As you both said, this is now not the time for fighting, and you, Lince, know this fighting will get us nowhere. Besides, it’s time…the time for the funeral is upon us all.”
