Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1218 - 1218: Save The Dark Magus (Part 1)

With everything unfolding, there was still one situation that desperately needed to be solved, and that was what was occurring with the Dark Magus and the rest.

The Dark Magus and one of the Grand Magus—if they were still able to use their powers at full force—could change the tide of the whole fight.

Both Amir and Lince were standing right next to Raze, ready to defend him against the trio of Enaxx’s that were set to fight against them.

“It’s only a matter of time!” Enaxx said as he threw a lightning bolt towards Lince, who had quickly blocked the attack. Right after, he pushed his body and managed to strike the line of wind attack that had come right at them.

For Amir, he firmly stood with both feet planted in the ground. Strangely, the black substance coming out from his body began to extend further and further, almost turning into a giant hand that now could be used as a shield.

The fire attacks were coming in his direction, so he was constantly stopping them with the use of his own body parts.

“I’m dealing with two of them here, do you really think that’s fair?” Lince asked.

“Do what you can, otherwise none of us will get out of this alive,” Amir replied.

It was easier for the two of them to defend and not try to attack. Which was why they could manage against three of them. The major issue in all of this, though, was they weren’t sure how much longer they could last.

If they attacked, they would be open, and they would leave Raze exposed.

“There’s another issue!” Raze said, as he finally stood up.

He could see that one of the Enaxx’s was gearing up. He combined both of his hands and spun his body, and the flames were growing around him. Right after, he threw the flames that swirled through the air like a dragon.

Amir wasn’t so sure he could just block this one, so instead he used the power of his own Qi. He drove it into his body and his giant arm and swung it.

At the same time, he noticed another Qi strike—a crimson slash—coming through the air and crashing into the giant flames, exploding them.

Amir turned to his side and could see that Raze was huffing and puffing, having used a large amount of his energy to stop the attack.

“You should be resting, or trying to find a way out of this situation,” Amir said.

“That attack would have hurt you. They can cast large spells if you give them time, especially fire magic, since that’s his magic core,” Raze explained.

It was going in one ear and out the other for Amir, as he didn’t fully understand the concept of magic, but he could tell with his own eyes—the flames were stronger than the other spells, and he appeared proficient in them.

“What we have to worry about is this guy can make more than three of himself!” Raze said.

Right now, all three of them were doing what they could to stop the countless different spells that were coming at them. Raze was waiting for the stronger attacks as he came in and defended a larger attack here and there.

“We’re already struggling with three of him as it is, and you’re saying that there could be more of him? So tell us, how many times can this guy clone himself?”

“Five times,” Raze answered. “At most. When fighting him, I went against five of him. I’m pretty sure that’s his limit.”

Raze thought back to his powers, but he didn’t completely understand it. As the fight went on, Enaxx would clone more of himself—but never more than five times.

He had fought for long periods of time, so he believed that this was his limit in the end. But there was a good chance that it wasn’t, as there would always be one more that would come after them.

There were more things than that which Raze had noticed about Enaxx. When Enaxx fought alone, he was just like any other mage, being able to use all elements but being proficient in one.

When he fought alongside the clones though, it was almost as if each one could only use a part of the element, but that didn’t make any sense to him.

‘Even if a clone of his body is taking one element, what about the others that are left? Since these three here are only using one element each, then I can guess that there is one more Enaxx somewhere out there that can use the other elements.’

“Even if we take out these bodies, I’m not sure it will do anything. There are two situations to winning this fight,” Raze said. “Either we have to take out all of the clones at the same time… or we have to take out the real body. But if there is a real body, I don’t think he would leave it here.”

The situation was daunting on them. There was only Raze that was perhaps strong enough to deal with the situation, but they had already reached a point where they were having trouble doing anything else but defending attacks.

As time went on, if Enaxx could clone himself, then it meant the opponent would only get stronger.

“Should we attack then, use whatever we can to try and take out these three?” Amir asked.

Raze was hesitant to give an answer. There was one more thing he could do, but he wasn’t sure it was the right time.

‘Bloody woman!’ Raze shouted in his mind. ‘At times when I’m in great trouble, when people are targeting my life, you had helped. You had helped with the Dark Faction leader. Can’t you help in this situation now!’ Raze sounded as if he was almost begging.
