Chapter 4546: Furious Spirits Attack
Chapter 4546: Furious Spirits Attack
The moment the furious spirits arrived at their location, the world trembled as if it could no longer contain their rage.
Bolts of lightning as thick as giant serpents wove through the skies, gusts of slicing wind split trees and carved trenches in the rocky ground, and tongues of scarlet fire rolled like waves across the horizon. The chaotic scene illuminated the night like a grand battlefield of elements.
Davis narrowed his eyes with tiredness, “Great. Just what we needed- some company that’s absolutely unwarranted.”
Fairy Thunderblaze stood in the sky with absolute poise. She barely glanced at the gathering below, seemingly standing above all. Instead, she extended her slender arm and snapped her fingers.
*Crackle!~*
A golden-scarlet sphere of energy, laced with strands of violet, abruptly coalesced above her hand. It pulsed like a miniature sun and then dispersed into countless arcs of golden lightning that wove into streams of scarlet fire. The next instant…
*BOOM!~*
A thunderous sound resounded across the region, shaking the hearts of everyone present.
It was like a thunder directly erupted above them.
Before they could even realize what had happened, the nearest dozen spirits, wind, lightning, and fire alike were all obliterated into fragments of spiritual essence. Not a trace of their bodies or cries remained; only their fading elemental aura scattered into the turbulent winds along with their spirit cores that had dropped.
“Divine Thunderfire…” Isabella muttered under her breath, her voice almost drowned by the storm’s howl, “She’s already refined her comprehension to a level where she could use complex techniques…”
The remaining fifty spirits faltered for a moment. They were all Heaven-Tier Spirits of Immortal Grade, their prowess extremely high since they were aided by this Shard Region. However, they didn’t move, and even the three Heaven-Tier Spirits Empyrean Spirits wavered before steadying themselves.
The Astral Stormsprite Spirit, glowing with silver-blue lightning and starry motes, glared at Fairy Thunderblaze with a dignified rage.
“You dare slaughter our kin and steal our treasure, human!? This sacred land rejects you!”
The Mythical Windblade Gale Spirit, a twisting tornado of jade winds with a vaguely avian form, circled her and roared, “You cannot escape our retribution! Return the Thunderfire Quintessence Seed!”
The Crimson Sun Devourer Spirit, its fiery body reminiscent of a miniature burning sun, bellowed like an enraged beast. Its flames licked the clouds and scattered cinders down to the forest below.
Davis and the others were shocked at this gathering of spirits.
After all, the Astral Stormsprite Spirit was ranked second in Heaven-Tier Lightning Essence Charts of Empyrean Grade. The Mythical Windblade Gale Spirit was ranked in Heaven-Tier Wind Elemental Charts of Empyrean Grade, and the Crimson Sun Devourer Spirit was ranked third in Heaven-Tier Fire Elemental Charts of Empyrean Grade. They appeared to be terrifyingly strong, able to defeat supreme geniuses and even give Riaz Heavenshade a fair fight.
The rest of the Heaven-Tier Spirits were ranked in the Immortal Grade and were less stronger than these three spirits. But together, their collective strength also held a great destructive force.
Fairy Thunderblaze finally glanced at them, her expression calm but eyes shimmering with violet-gold arcs.
“Return? This seed resonates with me. That alone is the Will of the heavens, if not, the entire universe.”
She suddenly raised both hands. Twin pillars of divine thunderfire spiraled upward, combining into a roaring vortex that swallowed the next wave of incoming spiritual attacks. Lightning arrows, fire lances, and wind blades all disappeared into her vortex, destroyed before her attack could even be launched.
Davis’s lips twitched as he watched from below. She was absolutely showing off her powers.
Initially, he had thought she had come here to let him deal with the spirits in order to watch and laugh since he knew she was a cunning woman, but it seems like that wasn’t the case.
“…!”
Instantly, the three Heaven-Tier Spirits of Empyrean Grade were able to understand that they were outclassed.
*Bzzz!~*
The battlefield trembled again as the Astral Stormsprite Spirit suddenly unleashed its true form, becoming a colossal figure of starlit lightning, its arms crackling with cosmic arcs. It was a terrifying giant that could be witnessed in space if it were in the Three Layers. It wasn’t ranked second for nothing.
At the same time, the Mythical Windblade Gale Spirit spiraled into a thousand cutting gales, and the Crimson Sun Devourer Spirit condensed its flames into a molten sphere of destruction. They were terrifying forces of nature where one is able to split into many blades and instantly carve someone or something up when they stepped on it, even while it’s at rest, and the other was capable of devouring stars.
They were both ranked third
Fairy Thunderblaze only smiled, golden-scarlet radiance erupting from her body as the storm fully obeyed her Will. The violent glint grew into a terrifying flash and blinded nearly everyone.
The three Heaven-Tier spirits unleashed their combined might, and the skies wept under their fury, thunder and lightning erupting throughout the region.
*BOOM!~*
A torrential storm of elements surged forth, starlit lightning that could shatter mountains, wind blades that carved the clouds themselves, and a flaming sphere that radiated enough heat to boil the nearby rivers.
The very Shard Region seemed to tremble as the elemental trinity converged on Fairy Thunderblaze.
Yet, in the eye of this apocalyptic storm, Fairy Thunderblaze floated like an untouchable majestic empress. Her purple-crimson robe fluttered lazily as if she were basking in a warm breeze rather than standing at the center of annihilation.
She raised her hand and flicked her fingers yet again as though treating them as an absolute joke.
*Crackle!*
A single violet-gold spark appeared at her fingertip. It entwined like a ribbon of scarlet flame and expanded into a divine rune of thunderfire, spinning slowly like a wheel. The instant the first wave of elemental destruction reached her…
*Rumble!~*
The rune pulsed and unleashed a thunderous boom, and the attacks vanished. They were not blocked, not deflected, but erased. They were destroyed by the divine thunderfire vortex forming behind her, a spiral of violet lightning and crimson flame that roared softly, like a predator purring.
The Astral Stormsprite Spirit hesitated mid-attack, its starry form dimming slightly.
Fairy Thunderblaze’s voice was soft, yet it carried across the battlefield.
“This is the might of the peak of Heaven-Tier spirits even in the Elemental Dimension? Pathetic. Without a master, you are nothing more than wandering children.”
She waved her hand casually.
*BOOM!!!*
A river of violet-gold thunderfire surged forth like a heavenly kirin, weaving through the storm. It smashed into the Myriad Windblade Gales, shattering them with a single impact. Tornadoes dispersed like wisps of smoke under the overwhelming might of divine lightning wrapped in divine fire. The wind spirit screamed, fragments of jade wind scattering into the storm before it managed to reform, its aura weakened.
Not giving them a breath, Fairy Thunderblaze pivoted in the air, drawing a lazy circle with her finger. Golden lightning arcs spiraled around her like a constellation, then shot forward in unison.
*Bzzt!~ *
*Krakk!~*
The Astral Stormsprite Spirit tried to defend, summoning a shield of condensed lightning star, but each bolt of Fairy Thunderblaze’s thunderfire drilled through it like molten spears through parchment. Its colossal form shuddered as chunks of starlit essence were blasted away.
Finally, the Crimson Sun Devourer Spirit charged, its molten body compressing into a burning comet aimed straight at her heart. It traversed at a speed no one could see. This attack could incinerate entire mountains that were at Peak Empyrean Grade, yet…
Fairy Thunderblaze exhaled.
She lifted her hand and clutched the air.
*Crackle!~*
A vast hand of divine thunderfire materialized and grabbed the flaming comet mid-charge. The spirit’s blazing body thrashed violently, waves of fire sweeping the stormy sky. But Fairy Thunderblaze’s hand tightened, and the flames dimmed, compressed into a struggling sphere the size of her palm.
She inspected it like a piece of fruit.
“Mm… Warm, but lacking flavor. Begone.”
With a flick of her wrist, she crushed the sphere. The Crimson Sun Devourer Spirit burst apart, its essence scattering into rain-like embers before reassembling far away, clearly injured and terrified.
Below, Davis’s group watched the slaughter unfold.
Myria’s lips twitched, “She’s… playing with them, not fully unleashing her prowess.”
Davis crossed his arms, his expression amused but also impressed, “Relaxed as a queen in a garden, trampling Heaven-Tier spirits like weeds. If she wanted, she could’ve ended it in one move… but she’s savoring it and showing off.”
Isabella exhaled softly, her gaze unwavering, “She didn’t use much of her strength, but I can tell that her destructive might has eclipsed once again.”
In the sky, Fairy Thunderblaze spread her arms, letting violet-gold arcs crawl across her skin, and scarlet flames trace the edges of her hair like a crown. The storm now revolved around her, not against her.
“Run, or kneel,” she said to the spirits, her voice neither loud nor soft, yet the skies seemed to echo her Will, “This land is mine.”
The spirits froze. Hesitation and primal fear crept into their once-proud roars.
“Still, there’s someone who could challenge me and still take this land. Maybe you could kneel and beg him to save you all.”
Fairy Thunderblaze turned to look at Davis. At that moment, their gazes matched, and a battle intent erupted across the lands, except it was only coming from Fairy Thunderblaze while Davis watched with amused eyes.
NOTE:
My mom is in critical condition in the hospital. It is quite serious enough to end badly, so I won’t be able to write for the next day and after properly.
I’m not even in the mood to focus.
Don’t buy privilege this month since I can’t assure you that the novel will have a stable release of chapters. I will be busy for the next week taking care of mom, so chap counter will be paused.
