Chapter 4816 Improving The Temporal Voidplane Ring
Chapter 4816 Improving The Temporal Voidplane Ring
Davis gazed at the Temporal Voidplane Ring before he came out of his reverie and no longer wasted time.
"Scram."
He simply said, causing all the miners who were reveling in the sudden deaths of the guards and the owners of this place to come out of their stupor. They instantly ran away, fleeing from the mining grounds.
Where they would go, Davis had no idea.
Perhaps they would die soon from the wild magical beasts in the sea. He didn't really care when everything was at stake in his tribulation.
"Supreme Immortal, please save me!"
"Great Immortal, please save us!"
A few ran to the chamber door and pleaded as they knelt, repeatedly hitting the ground with their faces. They obviously had noticed him being taken to the Mining Director's location.
Davis frowned.
With a wave of his hand, a spatial dome appeared, and these people disappeared.
The rest, who were on their way, heard the pleas and thought they could also be protected by him, turned around and fled quickly.
"Hmph!"
Davis harrumphed coldly, further causing them to trip and roll on the ground as they ran for their lives.
As for the ones already inside his ring, he didn't bother getting their consent or even warning them. They were being a hindrance, so he sealed them in the Temporal Voidplane Ring. Perhaps they would be forgotten by him or die together with him or saved by some pure-hearted Heaven's Warrior.
Davis waved his hand one more time, bringing out a silver-haired man.
"Aah!"
Kronos Alistair appeared before him, startled that he could breathe better and he could see the surroundings rather than a completely dark background. He gasped for breath for a few moments, working to restore his heaven and earth energy that had depleted to keep him moving even within the space where time was paused.
He calmed down a moment later and then looked at the bloodied Davis as he swallowed the complaint he was going to give.
Judging from the remnant aura, he could tell that the Divine Emperor of Death had just killed a Level Nine Autarch and that too in a brutal manner.
"Uhm, can you release my Nadija?" Kronos Alistair asked softly, knowing not to yap right now.
Davis stared at Kronos Alistair.
He had taken out Kronos Alistair since he felt like he could cause an anomaly within the Temporal Voidplane Ring when it upgrades or even bind it from within. This spacetime treasure was more compatible with him than himself or Stella if he wasn't wrong, since Kronos Alistair's physique was time-attributed, and his Space Laws comprehension was also at a higher level.
"Guard me."
Davis ignored his ask and moved his hands. He quickly brought out a resource from one of his spatial rings to improve the silver-black ring on his finger to the Exalt Grade.
It was a rare space-time attributed resource obtained from a mining site, known as the Chrono-Void Heartcrystal. It was an unrefined crystal obtained by Bylai in the Mountain-Sea Painting Shard Region.
It was no larger than a fist and appeared to be jagged and asymmetrical, as though it was torn from the fabric of space. It was a small flat crystal that surprisingly felt silky to the touch, exuding layers of silver and viridian light, cycling in slow, uneven pulses.
Each pulse caused the surrounding space to ripple slightly.
This was a treasure meant for a powerful spacetime artifact forging or armament forging in the Exalt Grade. It could even be used in constructs to build stable and vast time chambers, far more so than the ordinary spatial ores used in Exalt Grade to build those constructs.
Nonetheless, it wasn't one to be easily refined. A failed refinement can cause timespace to collapse temporarily and move in awkward directions until space repairs it after a long time.
But Davis wasn't going to refine it since the Temporal Voidplane Ring possessed the ability to do it itself.
As a replica that was capable of growth, it only needed a catalyst to grow.
Davis flicked his wrist, isolating the surroundings with a layered spatial barrier before bringing the Chrono-Void Heartcrystal closer to the Temporal Voidplane Ring. The moment the two drew near, the ring trembled violently, its previously muted silver-black surface erupting with runes that hadn't appeared before.
Spiderweb fractures spread across the Chrono-Void Heartcrystal, causing time itself to slow down around Davis for a few seconds.
The air grew unnaturally still, sound dampening, and even his thoughts waning.
He felt as though he was falling and flying at the same time.
This feeling lasted for a few seconds before he harrumphed coldly, trying to bring back his focus as he pushed the two treasures together.
The Temporal Voidplane Ring pulsed once, unleashing a wave of spacetime energy at the Chrono-Void Heartcrystal. The crystal shattered without an explosion, leaving behind fragments that compressed and transformed into motes of silver-viridian light before it flowed into the Temporal Voidplane Ring.
Davis didn't move as he held the treasures between his two palms. His sleeves fluttered wildly, and the air grew scorching hot as though the ring was refining the essence from the crystal by itself, drastically draining his energy. Its surface darkened, and new runes emerged from it, replacing the old ones.
"Success…"
Davis looked visibly taken aback as he noticed the Temporal Voidplane Ring had indeed entered the Exalt Grade as its undulations were extremely powerful. The treasure still acknowledged him as its master, as he was the one who bound it.
However, he was confused since there was no tribulation for it reaching the Exalt Grade.
'Could it be that replicas that are upgrading are merely returning to the source and can't be tested by the tribulation beyond a certain level?'
Davis wondered. It made sense considering Fallen Heaven wasn't facing any tribulation, and neither did the black-white stone.
He glanced at Kronos Alistair, who was looking at him with a worried look, likely concerned about the fate of his wife in the Temporal Voidplane ring.
His lips curled before he chuckled, "In that case, I won't postpone your revival either."
Davis threw out a dust cloud of ashen powder.
He abruptly made tens of hand seals, connecting all of these ashes with his soul force through the use of spirit formation before forcing his soul force on it while refining the plenty of powerful soul essences at the same time.
The ashen powder hovering before him trembled violently as his soul force flooded into it, threading through every grain like invisible veins.
The air darkened.
The reincarnation wheel appeared behind him and began to spin clockwise.
Above the mountains, mist appeared, but it was of two colors.
One was a pale luminous radiance, gentle yet suffocating, brimming with boundless vitality. Grass that had long been damaged by the spatial undulations of the ores bloomed for a single breath. Immortal Emperor Grade resources found their way out, blooming as though the sun was shining on them.
The other was an amalgamation of pitch-black shadows that swallowed the land. Deathly cold swept across the land as spectral winds howled, carrying the echoes of countless extinguished souls in the mines. Rocks crumbled into gray powder, plants dropped lifeless, and the sea below went still.
Life and death started eclipsing the island.
The cloud of ashes before Davis began to converge and reconstruct itself using his soul force.
White light surged first, forming smooth, crystalline edges that radiated pure vitality. Immediately after, black veins crawled across its surface, swallowing portions of the light before stabilizing them. Neither side dominated.
A dense core took shape.
Davis's expression was cold and unwavering, but sweat slid down his temple as the drain on his soul intensified. Still, he did not relent. His soul force pressed down like an executioner's blade, refining, condensing, forcing the reconstruction to obey his Will.
The reincarnation wheel let out a deep, resonant hum, allowing the treasure to fully take shape.
Sometime later, the black-white stone finally… returned.
