Chapter 2313: Oda Nobunaga’s Endless Castle [31]

Benladann swiftly wielded her axe, clashing against the giant’s ethereal fists, unleashing explosions of chaotic energy that destabilized the light to an extent. As this happened, the three dragon children attacked the monster from the other side, quickly unleashing the power of their Archetypes, temporarily transforming into them.

Seeing them relentlessly push back his Aura Spirit, with his armor beginning to crumble, the Venerable grew increasingly frustrated. He had primarily honed his swordsmanship throughout his life, learning other abilities only as secondary skills. This meant his other techniques and abilities were not as potent as his swordsmanship, largely because Fortune, in his mortal life as a mercenary after his village was burned by invading forces from a nearby Ice and Fire Giants Kingdom, had never been adept at magic conjuration or complex techniques.

He filled the hole in his chest with his own energy, materializing it into a liquid gold-like substance, then solidifying it to seal the wound and prevent further bleeding. Although his flesh had not yet regenerated and his energy continued to leak from the wound, this greatly reduced the loss, giving him a moment to breathe.

"{Heavenly Dominion of Providence}!"

F L A A A S H !

He unleashed his Dominion, finally taking the battle seriously as he acknowledged their tenacity and strength. Everyone was swiftly trapped within the Dominion of his creation.

"Where are we?!" Benladra asked.

"A Dominion?!" Kate exclaimed.

"I didn’t think they could create one here..." Drakda said.

"Damn it! Children, stay behind us!" Benladann ordered, striking down the spirit as it dissolved into particles of light.

"What is this place?!" Miranda asked.

Everyone found themselves in a strange, heavenly, celestial space. A bright orange sky loomed above with large white clouds, and an endless, glass-like floor stretched beneath them.

There, thousands of golden swords materialized one after another, emerging endlessly...

"{Providence Heaven of Myriad Divine Blades}!"

The Venerable extended his hands forward, and the thousands of swords surged toward them, aiming to tear them to shreds and obliterate them.

Ruby had always been intimately familiar with darkness, shaped by it since childhood. Born to become the vessel of a monster that thrived in darkness, one that once plunged the world of Yggdrasil into an eternal night where no day dawned, and Vampires overran every continent, devouring all in their path.

Yet Ruby not only overcame this darkness but claimed it as her own power. Even in her most painful moments, her family and friends supported and saved her... Through these experiences, she became one with the darkness, wielding this cursed power not for evil but for good.

Instead of seeking to dominate the world or bend it to her ideals, she resolved to use this power to protect it. Even when an abyss, born from the death of a goddess, swallowed her and everyone else in an accursed dimension, she did everything possible to maintain that resolve.

Although Drake, his family, and the other dragons were separated early in the fleeting seconds of the teleportation process, Ruby managed, just barely, to keep everyone else inside Fuyu, enveloping them in a bubble of darkness with her Aura.

Somehow, this abyss within the strange, accursed dimension did not affect her darkness or powers as much as it did others... In fact, it was quite the opposite. As Fuyu crashed into the gigantic, infinite castle with everyone inside, Ruby remained unconscious, perhaps the only one who did.

The Accursed Miasma of this Dimension was not harmful to her. If anything, it amplified her powers, making her feel at home... This accursed power was tremendous, revitalizing her after the arduous battle against the Venerables and soothing her mind, allowing her to remain calm and composed.

"I couldn’t stop this, but at least everyone else is safe... aside from the dragons and... Chris and Alma’s teams. They were separated, damn it..." Ruby lamented, flying toward Fuyu with her wings. "Everyone! Wake up! Everyone!"

As she called for them to awaken, sensing several powerful presences throughout the castle, she also felt another—a crimson, ghost-like presence manifesting and materializing. It was her mother.

"Mother, are you awake?"

"I’m awake, dear... Just what happened?"

"That Oda Nobunaga bastard interrupted our battle and threw everyone into his dimension! This seems to be a giant castle."

"That’s... indeed quite troublesome."

Ruby’s mother, Carmilla, glanced around, looking worried.

She had endured much in her life: giving birth to Ruby, fighting to prevent her daughter from becoming a sacrifice, being kidnapped and used against her will, and even dying and being resurrected as a spirit.

Now they were stranded in what seemed an endless castle filled with dangers. Ruby had entered this chaos because she refused to stay behind, determined to use all her strength to help save this world.

Despite her deep worry, Carmilla couldn’t help but feel immense pride in her daughter for everything she was doing despite the dangers.

"Ugh, what the hell happened?"

Tisha was the first to wake within Fuyu, slowly standing and gasping as she saw dozens of unconscious people around her.

"Woah! What’s going on?! Pekora?! Hey!"

She quickly tried to wake the rabbit-kin druid, holding her in her arms until Pekora slowly opened her eyes, still looking weary of everything.

"Tisha? What happened? Where are we? Huh? Ruby?"

"I’m glad you’re alright. Can you help me wake everyone else?"

"Sure..."

With the help of the Ice Elf and the Rabbit-kin, Ruby woke everyone. Pekora’s magic proved invaluable, as she could infuse life energy into people’s bodies and minds, rousing them even from deep unconsciousness.

"Ugh, ouch!"

However, it also caused mild headaches, so once everyone awoke, they rubbed their heads, glaring at Pekora with slight annoyance... except Hector, who was too kind for that.

"I’m sorry, everyone. We had to wake up quickly. We don’t know what dangers may lurk here," Ruby explained.

"Where’s Emerald?!" Amehia asked, looking around with concern. "Dad? Thank the ancient dragons you’re here..."

"I am... but yes, Emerald’s missing!" Tyrannus panicked.
