Chapter 241: Real Demon World
Chapter 241: Real Demon World
As her hand came into contact with the Hellstone’s cold surface, a certain connection seemed to have been established between her and the valley.
This connection was different from those she established with the arrays she had engraved by herself.
It not was very close and did not grant her any power, merely giving her a message or a reminder.
The invisible array shrouding the Inferno Valley had “recognized” her. As long as she wished, she could choose to leave the valley without facing any consequences.
Sensing this message, Liora couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
“Fortunately, the memories of that Fire Elemental were true. Otherwise, I would have been in trouble.”, she whispered.
Of course, though excited, she had not forgotten the person who had contributed the most to this discovery.
While placing the bag into the Space Orb, she shifted her focus to the silent Gale Devil.
Although it hadn’t taken her a long time to go through his belongings, Liora had not concealed her actions from him.
Thus, he had seen her go through his space treasure, as well as noticed her take the “worthless” metal out.
Her actions surprised the Gale Devil, but most importantly, confused him.
Though he was far weaker than Liora and could not accurately sense her strength, his experience told him that she was a True Devil.
And even within the True Devil stage, she should be quite powerful.
Exactly because of this, her actions were a mystery to him.
He could not understand why this unknown creature was so interested in his possessions, as well as why they had not killed him yet.
If his power was not suppressed and his mouth was not shut, he would have wanted to shake her violently and ask her several questions.
Where is this place?
What were those beings he had seen earlier?
Most importantly, why did it seem like they all had been waiting for him?
Considering the difference in strength, this person’s thoughts were hardly hidden from Liora.
But as usual, she wouldn’t clear up the confusion of a soon-to-be-dead person.
“You can only consider yourself lucky. I can only deal with you later.”, she whispered, and didn’t wait for the Gale Devil to respond.
With a wave of her hand, she tossed the stunned Devil into the Space Orb and arranged several arrays, trapping him and suppressing him inside them.
Then, she informed Alpha to pay attention to him and make sure that he did not escape, before her mind returned to reality.
With the capture of this person, her goal had been achieved. She had finally found the Inferno Item and could leave this place.
Therefore, she had no reason to stay in the valley anymore.
If it were in the past, this place, being rich in fire elements and packed with Fire Elementals that could be turned into resources, would have interested her.
But having obtained the memories of several Fire Elementals and knowing that there were powerful beings among them, Liora did not dare to stay here any longer.
Though Overwrite was powerful, she knew better than to fully trust it.
She understood that powerful beings had several ways to “crack” her methods and locate her current position.
Each extra second she stayed here only increased the chances of someone discovering her. Knowing this, Liora did not hesitate.
Turning around, she adjusted her route and soared into the sky. Her destination was none other than the world outside the Inferno Valley.
Or, in other words, the real Demon World.
—
Since Liora had been searching for other Devils, her current position was near the outskirts of the valley, where it was most likely for them to be.
As such, it didn’t take her long to reach the end of the valley.
As she descended from the sky and landed gently on the ground, a strange sight fell into her eyes.
Not far away from her, the world itself seemed to be divided into two.
One side was gray and rich in fire elements, while the other one was crimson and full of demonic energy, as well as a barely disguised sense of destruction.
The two worlds were divided by an invisible line, yet also coexisted at the same time.
The moment her gaze landed on the point of separation, Liora realized that she had reached her destination.
This was the end of the Inferno Valley and the “beginning” of the real hometown of Devils, the real Demon World.
“I’m perhaps the only True Devil who has never entered the actual Demon World. I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing.”, Liora shook her head and chuckled as she shifted her attention to the space in front of her.
Although it looked empty at first, as she took the piece of Hellstone out and held it in her hand, she immediately noticed something.
An invisible wall existed.
Or to be more accurate, an invisible array that separated the Demon World from the Inferno Valley.
It was perhaps the thing that truly made the Inferno Valley a forbidden area besides the Fire Elementals, trapping any beings who wanted to venture within.
Sensing this array, Liora did not leave.
She first had to conduct some experiments.
For some reason, she had a hunch that her return to the Inferno Valley was only a matter of time, and the two were destined together.
Although this was merely a reminder of her intuition and did not make sense, it was well-known that powerful beings possessed a sixth sense.
In particular, Liora, being a True Devil and an owner of Void Whisper, had always chosen to trust her intuition.
With that in mind, Liora slowly approached the invisible walls of the array, only stopping a few centimeters away from it.
With a move of her mind, the Hellstone she was holding disappeared and entered the Space Orb, severing her weak connection with the array.
Then, she stretched out her freed hand and tried to put it out of the Inferno Valley.
