Under the “Time delay” spell, the pressure on Peter Doyle was mounting in a fraction of seconds.

It didn’t take more than a few seconds for his bones to break.

“AaaahhhHhh!”

Peter Doyle let out a terrific scream. Both of his legs were broken now. He fell to the ground. If this pressure continued, he would definitely die.

As this realization struck him, Peter Doyle, without thinking further, said, “I admit defeat.”

Swoosh!

Hearing that, I canceled the spell. The next second, the tremendous pressure disappeared from the platform.

The whole place became quiet in the blink of an eye.

Slowly, a pool of blood formed around Peter Doyle. He was losing consciousness.

The old man referee heard Peter Doyle’s admission as well.

He said, “Wizard Seed of the Silver Tower, Vincent Carey, is the winner.”

His voice was not loud, but it resonated across the arena. Everyone seated in their places heard it.

The next second, earth-shattering cheers started to sound. Many of those who had placed bets on Vincent Carey earlier were now going to earn a lot more money.

The heads of the wizard families were delighted, including the head of the Nicholson Family. Rick Nicholson cracked a wide grin.

He made double the amount he had lost last time.

His earlier resentment in his heart had completely disappeared. Not only had he made money, but the Cox Family Head had made money as well.

Jason Nicholson, Susan Park, and Wilfred Cox stood up in joy. Vincent Carey didn’t disappoint them; he did as he told them.

Jason Nicholson smiled after earning a huge sum of money. Susan Park was smiling from ear to ear. They were quite worried about Peter Doyle’s trump card.

But it turned out to be nothing in the end. They were worried for nothing.

Wilfred Cox’s eyes flashed with a gleam. He knew Peter Doyle’s trump card was not for show; it could truly cause devastating effects on the ground.

It was just that Vincent Carey had diffused it before it could create havoc. Now he was genuinely scared of Vincent Carey.

He didn’t know what had happened, but he saw the wind attack detonated before Peter Doyle let out a scream. In a matter of minutes, Peter Doyle accepted defeat.

Then, on the big screen, everyone saw Peter Doyle lying in a pool of blood. Seeing that, a cold shiver went down his spine.

He felt glad that he had improved his relationship with Vincent Carey.

Meanwhile,

Susan Park, who was at the city administration office, saw the results as well. She sighed in relief. She was worried that something might happen.

But fortunately, the event ended successfully. Earlier, Manager Garrett had told her that the magic arena was under the watch of a Forbidden Wizard.

So, no mishap would occur. Because of that, she was able to do her work here.

Duel arena:

Back in the duel arena, the barrier was lifted. The staff came to get the injured Peter Doyle. He needed immediate treatment.

Seeing that, I decided to leave. I didn’t want to wait for the Forbidden Wizard Remi to appear. Last time, Forbidden Wizard Charlotte and Manager Lara were here.

I didn’t know whether they had come this time or not. I then collected my thoughts before walking back to the office.

On the other hand, Tom Doyle rushed out to leave. He wanted to see his cousin. His cousin had suffered the same fate as him.

He knew how painful it was when bones in your body broke. He wanted to check whether his cousin’s mana core was fine or not. If the mana core was damaged, then their family could lose one talent.

Tom Doyle’s eyes flashed with a gleam.

Not long after he left, the wizard members of the Doyle Family left as well. There were also supporters of the Wind Elemental Tower. They left feeling disappointed as well.

Hereafter, the fame of Vincent Carey would soar again. The Doyle Family had lost face twice. Because of them, the Black Tower and the Wind Elemental Tower lost to the Silver Tower.

The other magic towers would think twice hereafter before coming up with similar challenges.

On the other hand, I was in the waiting room.

The three wizard seeds arrived.

Susan Park immediately congratulated Vincent Carey upon seeing him.

“Vincent, you did as you said. It looks like we were the ones who overestimated Peter Doyle,” she said.

“He is not weak,” I replied to her.

“Yes, he is not weak. But he was not prepared for your magic spell. Your spell was more destructive than in the previous duel against Tom Doyle,” Wilfred Cox said.

“If I had been one step late, his magic spell would have taken effect. Then the situation would have been different,” I replied.

“I think you defeated him earlier than Tom Doyle. Now it appears you took your time before defeating Tom Doyle,” Jason Nicholson said.

Hearing that, I uttered, “Yes.”

I didn’t want to spill the secrets about my magic spell.

“Who are you waiting for?”

“Shall we leave?” Wilfred Cox asked.

“What about Manager Lara?” I asked them.

“Wait a second!”

“I’ll call her,” Susan said before making the call.

When the call was connected, Susan spoke to her.

A few seconds later,

“She is still at the city admin office. She has asked us to leave,” Susan said.

Hearing that, I said, “Okay, let’s go.”

After stepping outside, I kept my eyes on the surroundings. Seeing that there was no one suspicious around us, I sighed in relief.

Susan brought her flying vehicle outside. I was stunned. I hadn’t expected her to buy a new one right after yesterday’s incident.

“Are you surprised?”

“This one is made with the latest magic tech. It can withstand the attack of an official member,” Susan said with a smile.

“It’s a limited model. You did a nice job by buying it,” Wilfred Cox gave a thumbs up.

Jason Nicholson showed a little envy, but he knew both of them had gaps in background.

“Ha…Ha..Ha… Thanks to you, Vincent. I got my money back by making a successful bet on you,” Susan said with a laugh.
