Then we entered her flying car. She started to drive as usual, but everyone was nervous at heart. I’m using the system function to check whether the surroundings are safe or not.

If there is any killing or malicious intent nearby, the system will warn me.

About 20 minutes later, we returned to the magic tower streets. There was no attack on the way, which made everyone sigh in relief.

After returning to the silver tower, everyone sat on the living area sofas.

“I guess the killer was not here today,” Susan broke the silence by saying.

Wilfred Cox’s eyes turned icy.

He said, “It’s not that difficult to catch the killer, but it will be very costly.”

Jason added, “I guess the seniors of our towers are investigating.”

Hearing that, I didn’t know what to say. The real target was me, not them. I still don’t know why the Forbidden Wizard Remi is targeting me.

Susan noticed that Vincent was deep in thought.

She asked, “What happened?”

“You have won the duel, but you are not happy at all,” she added.

Wilfred and Jason turned toward Vincent.

I looked at them and asked, “What do you guys think about the Black Tower?”

“Black Tower,” Wilfred uttered.

Susan was stunned as well. She didn’t expect Vincent to think about the Black Tower instead of the Wind Elemental Tower.

Jason Nicholson said, “No one trusts the Black Tower, including the people of the Mage Union. But for wizard seeds like us, there is no problem with them.”

Wilfred thought of something important. He looked at Vincent and asked, “Are you worried about revenge?”

Hearing that, Susan and Jason were stunned.

“Yes,” I replied.

“You don’t have to be. We have Forbidden Wizard Charlotte and others. They don’t like big bullies picking on the small,” Wilfred Cox said.

“I know that. I just want to be prepared,” I said to them.

Susan said, “If we’re talking about revenge, then no one is safe. It’s good that you are part of the Silver Tower now.”

“People living outside the magic city and other satellite cities disappear from time to time,” Susan said.

Hearing that, Wilfred and Jason’s faces changed. Their families do shady things as well, but not at the scale of magic towers.

Wilfred Cox changed the topic by saying, “If you are worried about revenge, then stay inside the magic city.”

“No one dares to touch the people of magic towers,” he added.

“You forgot about yesterday’s incident,” Susan reminded him.

“It was the first of its kind. I’m guessing that the identity of the killer will be known soon. My family is working to find out the answers,” Wilfred revealed the news.

“My father has sent a message to the Ancestor. Once the Ancestor gets the news, he will try to find out the truth,” Jason revealed.

“Harumph, you guys are not the only ones. My parents are looking for the mastermind as well,” Susan said with a snort.

I was left speechless. The backgrounds of these people are not ordinary. If I were to kill them, then their families would soon discover my identity.

A cold sweat bead appeared on my forehead. I was a little reckless earlier. It’s good that the enmity turned into friendship.

Otherwise, I would have had no place to stay in this world.

Just as everyone was talking, someone entered the room. The person was none other than Manager Lara.

She had a serious expression on her face.

“Manager Lara!”

Everyone stood up from their seats.

Lara collected her thoughts before nodding to them. Then her gaze fell on Vincent Carey. She congratulated him on his victory against Peter Doyle.

“You have done amazingly well. Forbidden Wizard Charlotte will be happy,” Lara said with a smile on her face.

Wilfred Cox asked, “Manager Lara, did you find out the mastermind?”

Hearing that, everyone turned toward her.

Lara’s smile disappeared. She looked at everyone’s faces and knew they were involved in the attack.

She said, “Forbidden Wizard Charlotte said that she would take care of this matter.”

“It’s not my cup of tea,” she added.

Hearing that, everyone was dumbfounded. Wilfred Cox and Jason Nicholson showed grave expressions on their faces.

Susan Park was slow to catch up, but she understood soon.

She asked, “Then it must be a big fish. I’m curious which organization the mastermind is from.”

Lara shook her head before saying, “You guys don’t have to think too much about it. Forbidden Wizards will take care of it.”

On the other hand, I sighed in my heart. These people were so close to the truth. The answer is right before them.

Apart from the Mage Union, there is no second rival organization in the magic city. The culprit is from the Black Tower.

I don’t know how Forbidden Wizard Charlotte will find out the truth. Then we spoke about a few other things before parting ways.

The three wizard seeds again congratulated me on the victory before leaving.

Soon, I returned to my room. After closing the door, I went to take a bath. The bath lasted for 20 minutes.

After stepping outside, I changed into comfortable clothes.

Then I sat on the sofa leisurely before browsing the news online. I’m sure that the entire magic city would be shaken by my second victory.

When I opened the news page, the headlines about my victory started to appear. I started to scroll down to see further headlines.

There were also articles about the Black Tower and the Wind Elemental Tower shaming them. They had requested the challenge in the first place. They both tasted defeat in the end.

As I continued to scroll down, I found news about the Doyle Family as well. I found it interesting, so I opened the article to read it.

Not long after, I realized the Doyle Family is going to pay a huge price because of the defeat. Two of the magic towers were being shamed. I’m hoping that they won’t direct their hate toward me.

But I think it’s almost impossible. I should be ready for whatever situation arises. Then I continued to read the interesting articles.
