Chapter 1617: Part 2: Mistfall City

From MC’s Perspective:

After entering the bathroom, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. In the blink of an eye, I arrived in front of the control mirror.

I don’t know whether the Black Tower’s wizard would come or not.

Outside,

The Black haired middle aged man walked into the inn. He is looking around before turning towards the admin desk.

He goes to the staff and asks about the masked man. The staff was stunned. He then thought this person could be his friend.

Then he told him that his friend went to the bathroom.

The Black Tower Wizard frowned. He decided to wait here. As the time goes by, there is no sign of the masked man coming back.

Even the staff was dumbfounded. He started to suspect whether the masked man had left or not.

The staff then contacted another staff member. When another male staff arrived. He told him to check out the bathroom.

The staff came to the bathroom. He started knocking in. There was no response from the other side. Then he used his mental power to check. He found that the room was empty.

Creak!

He opened the door and saw no one was inside. The doors of other rooms are open. The staff was puzzled. Then he came to the conclusion that person had already left.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I spotted the staff in the mirror. I raised my eyebrows. Still, I have decided to wait. The Black Tower’s Wizard could be waiting outside.

Outside,

The Black Tower’s Wizard was waiting. When the staff came. He informed them that there was no one inside the bathroom.

The Black Tower’s Wizard and the middle aged staff were stunned. They were waiting there. But they saw no one exiting from the place.

“Damn, he must have escaped,” The Black Tower’s Wizard muttered. Then he left the inn without turning back.

The staff was puzzled. After seeing the back of the Black haired middle aged man. He felt something was wrong. He decided not to probe.

About 20 minutes later,

I appeared outside. Then I started walking over to the exit. When I arrived there, I saw that middle aged staff seated at the desk.

I smiled and exited through the door. The staff who casually glanced at the person. When he saw the masked man. He stood up in surprise.

Now, he understood the person used a magic spell to hide from the black haired middle aged man. He felt lucky that he didn’t probe further.

On the other hand, I came outside. My gaze wanders around the place. Then I spotted the two old men at the coffee shop.

Seeing that I started walking over to that place.

Patrick and Otto noticed the master as well. They saw how the black haired wizard left dejected earlier.

When I arrived at the shop,

“Master,” both of them greeted.

“Let’s go,” I said to them.

Then we left the coffee shop and went to the narrow alley where no one was there. I’m afraid that Black Tower’s Wizard could be in the city.

So I decided to leave later. But for the time being, I have decided to heal their injuries.

“Where are you guys staying?” I asked them.

“Master, we are staying in an old inn,” Patrick replied.

“Master, did you bring treasures?” Otto asked. He looked impatient. He wanted to solve the lifespan problem.

“I have treasure with me. But it’s not the right place to consume the treasure. We should leave the city,” I said to him.

“What?” Both of them are taken aback.

Patrick and Otto looked at each other. How long has it been? Their Master only left for a day. But he had returned with the treasures.

In order to get such treasure, they have been working for decades.

On the other hand, I looked at their shock and disbelief on their faces. Both of them are quite happy right now.

“Okay, I have a task for you. After getting out of the city, I’ll give you the treasure?” I said to them,

Hearing that both of them recovered their thoughts.

“Master, what is it?” Patrick asked.

“A Black Haired Middled aged man followed me. He is wearing black robe with the emblem of black tower,” I said to them.

“He must be roaming in this city. I don’t want to encounter him,” I added.

Patrick smiled and said,”Master, we saw him. We watched him following you earlier.”

“Yes, we believed in you. That’s why we didn’t interfere,” Otto said from the side.

Now that his root cause problem was solved. He is now more happy to help.

I raised my eyebrows. These 2 old men are cunning foxes. Fortunately, the crimson curses bind their mana core.

Then I thought of a good idea.

“Okay, I’ll give you your first task. I want you guys to find him. I want to know his purpose. Why is he here?” I said to them,

“Master, you forgot about my magic. I can hear sounds and voices hundreds of metres around me,” Otto said with a smile.

“Okay, you guys can leave. I’m going to wait here in this coffee shop,” I said to them.

Let’s see what the Black Tower’s Wizard was up to. He is an official member as well. I’m sure he is here for a purpose. It could be a mission.

Then I collected my thoughts and removed the mask from my face. The mask is already recognised by few people. It’s not safe to use this mask again.

I started walking towards the shop. When I arrived at the shop, I looked around before entering inside. Then I found an empty seat at the end.

I went to the place and sat down. Then I ordered a cold coffee.

Meanwhile,

Patrick and Otto are looking for the black haired middle aged man. They knew his face.

“We should do it without altering others,” Patrick said.

“Yes, we are Supreme Wizards. It will definitely attract attention,” Otto agreed.
