Chapter 1691: Vulture’s Hill

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I saw a terrific scene outside. A sky-high humanoid broke out from the underground, and it was standing tall now.

I didn’t know what the existence was going to do next. The loud noise earlier seemed to be from the two yellow beam attacks.

The whole body was covered in black knight armor. The two eyes were bright yellow. Seeing that scene, my heart set off a storm.

I couldn’t even judge the height of the humanoid. What kind of existence was that?

Then I asked the system to inspect it.

[Ding! Warning!]

[Ding! Unknown existence. The system update was not enough.]

The system results stunned me. What could that existence be?

Boom!

The humanoid knight turned its body.

The knight humanoid took the first step and disappeared from the spot. The next second, the place was empty. There was no sign of that existence.

My heart was pounding. I asked the system whether the outside area was safe. The system results said that the area was safe.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared outside. I landed on the sand dune. The whole terrain had changed. The area was unrecognizable.

I turned around and started looking around the surroundings. There was no sign that the ruin was hidden here.

What’s more? The giant existence was nowhere to be seen. Then I started using the system to see if any resources could be collected here.

The next second, the system voice sounded in my mind. There were treasures here. I shifted my body towards the location.

I saw a bronze artifact. It appeared to be another statue. I collected it into the system space.

Time went by,

I continued to collect the treasures into the system space. I had a feeling that something was not right. I decided to leave after collecting a few treasures.

30 minutes later,

I left the ruin. It didn’t take long for me to leave the sand ruins area completely. But the sand dunes seemed to be unending.

So I took the raven aircraft outside. The raven aircraft landed on the ground. Then I entered the aircraft and started operating it.

Swoosh!

The raven aircraft departed from the place.

Time went by,

The stealth tech covered the aircraft. Now it was transparent. The sand dunes region was coming to an end.

A large green cover could be seen ahead. Inside the aircraft, my eyes flashed with relief. I thought it was time to return to the magic city.

But before that, I needed to find a place with a signal. Then I would contact Manager Lara. The sand dunes came to an end a few minutes later.

Then the aircraft was flying over entirely new land. So far, I haven’t come across any other airships or vehicles. Not even wandering wizards were spotted.

So I got confused about the location. After coming to the small hilltop, I stopped the aircraft. Then I landed outside before collecting the aircraft into the system space.

Then I brought the team members outside. Hank, Patrick, Otto, and the Vine Monster were surprised.

“Where is the ruin?”

“Master, what’s going on?”

“Where are we?”

Everyone started asking questions. Then I looked at them and said, “Quiet.”

The next second, the crimson curse acted. Four of their bodies became stiff. They quieted down.

Then I started explaining things to them. Even I was in shock. So it was necessary for them to know the seriousness of the matter.

A few minutes later,

Four of them were petrified, including the monster. They didn’t have a clue that so many things had happened outside.

Yet Master Vincent didn’t say anything to them.

“I don’t know where we are. Hank, can you find the next city?” I said to Hank.

Hank didn’t say anything. He was still feeling pain from the curse. He started using his magic to find the direction.

Then he found that they were in the northeast. He knew the big city nearby. It was also the last city of the remote region.

He then said, “Master, there is a big city nearby. It’s called Vulture’s Hill. Like the name suggests, the wizard families there breed magic monsters. Vultures were the main ones.”

Rustle!

Hearing that, the Vine Monster moved its body. It recalled a similar city name in its memory. It then communicated with me.

My eyes flickered. Even the Ancient Vine Monster had heard of it. Then it must be one of the oldest cities.

“Alright, lead us to the city.” After saying that, I put the Vine Monster back in the Gregor Mansion.

Then we started following Hank. On the way, I thought of Hank’s progress. I had collected unknown treasures from the ruin.

I didn’t have time to inspect them. Maybe after getting into the city, I should check these items.

Time went by,

We saw the appearance of the city a few minutes later. Compared to other cities, this city was located on the top of a mountain.

The mountain was surrounded by forests as well. It was the perfect place to breed magic monsters.

Soon, we came to the foot of the mountain. There was a small town located at the foot of the mountain. There was a path leading to the top of the mountain.

The people here were mostly wandering wizards and travelers. The city and the mountain had existed since old times.

Everyone could feel the ancient aura from the mountain. It was recorded that the mountain was filled with magic herbs.

People came here to find them as well. After reaching the town, we started walking on foot. I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

I had thought it was another random city. But I didn’t expect the city to be located on the mountain top. Then I picked up the device and saw that there was no signal yet.

I put back the device and saw there was a series of mountain ranges behind the mountain.

A hint of doubt flashed in my eyes. Then I asked Hank about it.

“Master, the rule under the Mage Union ends here. Beyond the mountain range, there is a super large nation. They have their own rules. They were not under the Mage Union. Maybe they were allies,” Hank said with a smile.

Hearing that, I was surprised inside. It was yet another piece of new information to me.
