Chapter 2283: Bloody Heart Scandal.

If Bushwick were to escape completely, it would be a disgrace on Commander Isaac and the church of justice as a whole.

Commander Isaac himself would also surely receive more punishment and disappointment from the cardinals than if he were to kill Bushwick. So even if killing Bushwick now is a bad idea, it is a good idea since it will prevent an even worse situation from happening.

This is the logical reason for killing Bushwick, and it will be the one he will tell the cardinals when he is questioned for killing Bushwick.

As for the irrational reason for killing Bushwick, it is because he is very angry.

Maybe he would have spared Bushwick’s life if he wasn’t so angry. It is possible for that to happen. But it can’t happen anymore because he is too angry.

The main source of his anger doesn’t come from Bushwick or from the reports of bad news that his captains just gave him. His main source of anger is the news he got earlier that bloody hearts have been stolen again.

That news took him by surprise. That much is certain.

Even now he still can’t believe that they haven’t found the first bloody heart that was stolen, but another one was stolen too. To top things off, it wasn’t just one more bloody heart that was stolen. It was two.

So there are three bloody hearts missing now. Each one represents the death of a captain, as that is the only way that the bloody hearts can be gotten from a lamp bearer.

The one that was stolen earlier is nowhere to be found. They don’t know who stole it and where it could be at all. It was as if the bloody heart disappeared.

Fortunately, the other two thefts aren’t so bad. The church of justice has some inkling as to who stole them, why they were stolen, and where the bloody hearts could be.

The second blood heart is said to be stolen by the blood worshipers of the Blood Cult. This isn’t the first time that they will be stealing the bloody heart, and it probably won’t be the last time.

As of yet, they don’t know how to hide the tracks of the bloody heart so they can be found and the bloody heart can be recovered. This is the good news about the situation.

The bad news is that the third bloody heart was stolen by an unknown being who took the high-grade divine artifact into the spiritual dimension.

The spiritual dimension is very dangerous. But this person, whoever he or she is, has stayed in the spiritual dimension for a long time.

This is an indication that the person is a legend or has a legendary helper protecting him because only legends can stay in the spiritual dimension for so long.

This is very bad news for the god of justice because the bloody heart will be very difficult to track and recover now that it is in the spiritual dimension.

Unlike the blood worshipers, who are epic beings at most and can be easily found and captured, the church of justice will have to resist the whole spiritual dimension just to find the bloody heart.

As for recovering the bloody heart, it will be even more difficult now that it is likely in the possession of a legend. But the worst part is that the legend might be a rank 9 killer and might have taken the bloody heart in an attempt to become stronger.

If that is the case, then a godling killer or even a true god of killing might be about to be born. Commander Isaac doesn’t think that this killer will succeed, but the slim chance of this happening is enough to make him frustrated, fearful, and angry.

He can’t do anything to help with these two situations. He can only do his part here and hope that more captains don’t start dying.

If more captains start dying and bloody hearts keep going missing, it will prove that someone is recovering the flesh of the god of killing and trying to recreate the body of the god of killing. That will be more bad news, and it will be a horrendous one.

He doesn’t wait for more bad news to come before he gives the current amount of Maher that he has an outlet to release. So he picked Bushwick to use as the outlet he so badly needs.

It won’t be easy to find Bushwick because he ran into a forest, but the Commander is in the mood to relish the challenge.

Their team of twenty met up with the lamp bearers outside the forest. Then one of the lamp bearers took them into the forest and guided them along the marked trails that go along Bushwick’s tracks.

There are some lamp bearers far ahead in pursuit of Bushwick. Their job was to capture him, but they have been unable to do so because Bushwick could suppress the strength and enhance himself.

But now that he is here, the job of this team is to act as a vanguard, keeping track of Bushwick. As long as they stay close to Bushwick and know where he is, Commander Isaac believes that he will be able to capture the noble.

While they were rushing through the forest, they met a lot of wild animals and predators. Some of these animals attacked them. But most of them left them alone or ran away at the sight of them.

A forest means at least one energy spring. A large forest such as this usually means that the energy spring is large enough to establish a city for humans. If this is true, then there is likely a rank 6 beast here in control of the energy spring or even a legendary beast.

But Commander Isaac didn’t care at all about any of these possible dangers. He simply sneered to himself and said inwardly, “If you think that the beasts in this forest will be able to hinder me and help you escape, then you will be very disappointed.”
