Chapter 2474: Alternative Sources of Divine Fragments.

The difficult obstacles that have to overcome in order to become godlings made Legion-7 sigh and say, “It is times like this that I wish that we were on the pathway of light.”

Legion-7 didn’t deny the accusation. He said, “Guilty as charged. I don’t want to work if I don’t have to.”

The other clones laughed in amusement. They also agreed with him because they like to prioritize efficiency and achieve the most with the least effort and the shortest amount of time.

They know the location of the authority of the pathway of light, and with the protection of the divine abilities of the pathway of undying, they believe that they have a shot at getting close to it.

So if they were godclads of the pathway of light, they believe that it would be easy for them to reach the authority of the pathway and take the divine fragment that they need from it. They even believe that becoming the god of the pathway will be easy for them to do.

So they feel like they are missing out on something that they could easily acquire. Not only that, but they also have to find a way to gain the favor of the elusive authority of their pathway and somehow find where it is.

If they can’t find the authority of the pathway or figure out a way to gain its favor, they won’t be able to use it to become godlings. This made them feel frustrated.

Fortunately, they have other feasible alternatives. They know where the soul of a god is, so they know where to go if they want to devour the soul of a god and use it to upgrade their innate talent.

Even a godclad that used to be an angel will lose their qualifications and fall to the level of a demigod once they become a slave. So they can’t have angels as slaves and have to make do with demigods.

If they could have angels as slaves, they would be able to fulfill their ambition to turn their slaves into gods and have gods as slaves. That is a grand ambition fueled by greediness, but there are other pertinent things that they are missing out on because they can’t enslave angels.

Because the maximum rank that their slaves can reach is the demigod rank, all their slaves can’t have nine divine abilities, and they have to use the Chain of Command divine ability in order to raise the spiritual power of their clones to the angelic level.

Constantly using the Web of Control divine ability is already draining their spiritual energy all the time. If they have to use the Chain of Command divine ability to maintain their strength in their slaves, their consumption of spiritual energy will double.

There is also the consumption of spiritual energy for them to use divine abilities and liberate their divine forms through their slaves.
