Chapter 2498: Confusing Being.

When angels fight, they usually fight for control of the authority of the pathway. After all, every angel is a competitor for the authority. This made the second guess of the god of dreams more likely to be true.

But the only way this will be correct will be if Legion is an angel of Undying. The god of dreams finds this difficult to believe because Legion is already an angel of telepathy.

The god of dreams already knows that Legion is both an undying godclad and a telepath, but he doesn’t want to believe that Legion possesses two pathways and is an angel in both of them. That’s just too preposterous.

It was so preposterous to think that the god of dreams said, “Who does he think he is? The god of justice?”

He said that because the god of justice was the only person in recent history who was able to become an angel in two different pathways, and the pathways were not even related.

As a god, he knows that this achievement was due to the innate talent of the god of justice. It was his innate talent that let the two different pathways work together instead of causing the god of justice to run mad.

He doesn’t believe that Legion has that talent. So this means that the possibility that Legion killed the angel of undying to get his rank 9 and assimilate it couldn’t be the correct motive either.

But as the god of dreams thought about things, he said to himself, “If the god of justice can have this kind of innate talent, then it is possible that someone else can. This is even more likely since his dream island is so large. If he had more than one pathway, it would explain why his dream island is so large.”

The god of dreams only thought of it as a possibility and was even willing to consider that Legion might already be an angel of undying, but he didn’t believe that Legion killed the angel of undying so as to get his rank 9 divine flesh simply because he had an avatar watching Legion’s dream island and hadn’t noticed the dream island move towards this location to take the divine flesh and assimilate it.

He was sure that someone had assimilated the divine flesh at the restaurant because his vessel in the physical dimension could still sense the surge of spiritual energy in the restaurant that indicated that someone had become an angel in the restaurant just recently.

The god of dreams believed that Legion had one body, and since that body hadn’t moved here and since avatars can’t assimilate divine flesh, the god of dreams concluded that Legion couldn’t possibly have just become an angel of undying.

After coming to this conclusion, the god of dreams returned his attention to the matter of finding Legion’s main body in the physical dimension.

He said, “He is killing angels of undying for some reason that I can’t figure out. But that’s alright. I’ll find an angel of knowledge and decide to let them figure out what is going on.”

He failed to find the angel of undying he was looking for and even missed Legion’s brainwashed servants, but he has gained a lot of information about Legion that he can give an angel of knowledge to help him narrow down Legion’s identity.

So the god of dreams went looking for an angel of wisdom. This was around the time that Legion finally managed to get an appointment with an angel of knowledge.

Angels of knowledge know a lot of things and can figure out obscure knowledge from little information and hints, so a lot of people look for them for assistance. This has increased the demand for angels of knowledge and makes them picky about who they attend to.

Angels of knowledge prioritize knowledge, so they will only attend to someone who has very important knowledge for them. No one can force them because they are part of the White Tower organization, which is protected by the god of knowledge.

Angels of knowledge and other mages that join the White Tower organization get to live in a large white tower with an infinite amount of space within it. These white towers are one of the most fortified places in the world because each white tower is a manifestation of the Authority of the pathway of knowledge.

To attack a white tower is to attack the god of knowledge. This was why Legion didn’t force their way in and obediently came up with a tantalizing knowledge so as to meet the angel of knowledge.

Only one Legion went into the tower. The Legion they picked was Legion-4. As he entered the White Tower, he said to himself, “No wonder the location of angels of knowledge is so easy to find. It is because they don’t have any reason to be worried. With a god like this in their pathway, no amount of caution will protect them from him.”

Legion didn’t know that every white tower scattered all over the world was the projection of the authority of the pathway of knowledge. They just learned that recently. So they finally realized why the location of angels of knowledge was so easy to find.

They were ignorant of this matter, but they also knew a lot of things that many people, including angels of knowledge, didn’t know. One of those things is the fact that the pathway of creation and the pathway of destruction exist. This was one of the knowledge that they offered in exchange for the help of the angel of knowledge.

They knew a lot of things that no one in this world knew, such as the identity of the person who created this world and his current state. But they couldn’t offer such earth-shattering knowledge, or even the god of knowledge would be alarmed.

Even if they had nothing to fear from the god of knowledge, they still didn’t want to share too much important information because of selfishness.
