GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2506: Pinpoint The Mind Palace.

Chapter 2506: Pinpoint The Mind Palace.

The first angel of telepathy invaded the mind of the subordinate god and used Mind Plague to destroy some memories. The subordinate god didn’t resist the entire time, but the Mind Palace was still impressed by his achievement.

He received the favor of the Mind Palace and could sense that its attention was on him. Even the virtual flesh that Legion had disconnected from him had reconnected. So a connection had formed between him and the Mind Palace.

If he wanted to become a godling, what he would do now was to request the divine fragment from the Mind Palace. But he couldn’t do that now because he had to prioritize his freedom.

The only way for him to gain his freedom is to find Legion. So he used the other ritual that he was given to find the Mind Palace.

This ritual let the Mind Palace resonate deeply with him. There was some confusion as it seemed that the Mind Palace was in many places at once. But he was able to find the nearest place that the Mind Palace could be.

After he did this, he gave the information about the location of the Mind Palace to the god of dreams. The god of dreams took this information and went looking for Legion.

Unfortunately for him, Legion had sensed the danger and had run away before he arrived. The god of dreams was unwilling to give up and made the first angel of telepathy repeat the entire process.

But no matter how many times they found the location of the Mind Palace, they couldn’t catch Legion. Legion was always able to escape through the Mindscape.

Eventually, the god of dreams became too frustrated. He decided to kill Legion once and for all.

Since he had already eliminated the first angel of telepathy as a threat, there would be no one to compete with his vessel for control of the Mind Palace once the current wielder of the Mind Palace is eliminated.

The only thing that the god of dreams was dissatisfied with was that the Mknd Palace wouldn’t be in his control, and a new angel of telepathy would be able to gain control of it before his vessel could.

To this, the god of dreams said, “It is a good thing that most demigod telepaths are dead or brainwashed. So I have very little to worry about a new angel of telepathy appearing.”

He had thought that there wasn’t going to be a problem when the first angel of telepathy was trying and failing to gain control of the Mind Palace. He was wrong then. A talented angel of telepathy had suddenly appeared and had taken the Mind Palace away.

However, he doubts that something like Legion can happen twice in a row in such a short amount of time. So it was with great confidence that the god of dreams went to the dream island of the person who took the Mind Palace and began to crush it.

Legion-10’s dream island was very strong, but the god of dreams believed that he would be able to destroy it. However, this proved to be wrong because the dream island suddenly disappeared.

This sight confused the god of dreams. He wasn’t confused because he hadn’t seen something like this before. He has seen the dream islands of people disappear temporarily many times.

The dream islands of walkers, travelers, and illusionists disappear many times. So he is very experienced with dream islands disappearing.

In fact, he can guess why Legion’s dream island disappeared because he has seen the dream islands of angels of undying disappear. Their dream islands disappear with the aid of the rank 9 Phantom Escape divine ability once they sense a threat.

This is the first guess that came to his mind since this dream island clearly belonged to an undying godclad. But despite how reasonable it felt to him, he didn’t want to believe that the owner of the dream island was both an angel of undying and an angel of telepathy.

His eyes widened in disbelief as he said, “Impossible. There has to be a mistake here.”

While he was grappling with why the dream island had suddenly disappeared, the dream island reappeared in the dream realm. The place it reappeared in also happened to be very close to the first angel of telepathy and his vessel.

At first glance, it looked like the first angel of telepathy and his vessel had found their target. This was confirmed when he received the feedback from his authority telling him that the first angel of telepathy had completed his part of the deal and should be freed.

But he knew that the first angel of telepathy and his vessel hadn’t gone looking for the target. After all, he had already given up on looking for the current wielder of the Mind Palace and had decided to kill them in the dream realm.

They hadn’t gone looking for him, yet the current wielder of the Mind Palace had appeared beside them. The only explanation for this was that the controller of the Mind Palace had gone looking for them.

When he thought of this, the god of dreams felt even more incredulous. He asked himself, “Is this man mad?”

But Legion wasn’t mad. Their current action was being taken after careful calculations.

When Legion-10 appeared beside the two of them, he attacked them immediately. They didn’t know that Legion-10 was coming, so they were caught off guard. There was also the fact that they were using the Invisibility Shield divine ability.

Legion-10 used the connection between the Mind Palace and the mind of the first angel of telepathy to attack his mind. They used the Mind Plague divine ability on him while they used the Blood Limb divine ability on the vessel.

Most of their attention was on the vessel as he possessed a spiritual power that had reached the limit of the sequence. So while they stalled the first angel of telepathy, most of their power was concentrated on the vessel of the god of dreams.
