GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2510: The Giant Guardian.

Chapter 2510: The Giant Guardian.

The Ocean of Blood is a large body of liquid. The liquid it contains is red like blood. In fact, it is more accurate to say that the Ocean of Blood is made of blood.

But from their perspective, the Ocean of Blood doesn’t look like an ocean. It is more like a lake of blood. It is a large lake, but it is not an ocean.

The reason that they haven’t approached the Ocean of Blood is that there is a golden giant next to it. The giant is naked, so they can see that it doesn’t possess any sexual characteristics.

The golden giant doesn’t seem to possess any skin. Its muscles also seem to be made of golden blocks of metal.

So one might think that the giant is not a living being. From its appearance, it is easy to think that the giant was carved from some kind of golden rock.

But they could tell that the giant was a living being and a powerful one at that. They say that looks are deceiving, but the fact that this giant is so big that the Ocean of Blood looks like a pond to it doesn’t seem to be an exaggeration of its power at all.

Currently, the giant is just standing with its eyes closed and its arms folded across its chest. And even though the three clones are currently equipped with the Invisibility Shield, they could sense that approaching the Ocean of Blood will lead to them encountering danger.

The Invisibility Shield is why blood beasts in the spiritual dimension haven’t sensed them yet and come hunting for them. But it seemed that this giant wouldn’t be fooled easily.

Fortunately, they know why the giant is so dangerous. They can tell that he is more powerful than they, but not up to the level of the gods. This means that he is either a godling or a subordinate god.

And from his appearance, they know that he is from the pathway of giants. His current appearance is the divine form of giants. They once saw this in a book, so they are certain that the giant is a godling or subordinate god of the pathway of giants.

They don’t know why a godling of the pathway of giants would be guarding the Ocean of Blood, but they hope that he is not a subordinate god because this will mean that the god of giants also wants to protect the Ocean of Blood.

Either way, they are not deterred. God or no god, they won’t give up so easily. They will at least make a move before quitting.

In fact, they don’t think that the presence of a godling here is a bad thing. After all, they are looking for ways to acquire divine fragments. If they can kill this godling, they will get the divine fragments that they want.

So they have two reasons for not giving up. They made up their minds to either get the Ocean of Blood, or kill the godling, or do both. And they are willing to die trying to achieve one of their three goals.

They have not been idle all along. They have been planning their move all this time. This involved going around killing beasts in the spiritual realm for their life energy.

They didn’t even have to fight. All they used was their rank 8 Life Siphon divine ability. This divine ability would drain any being that they target.

And they could use the Life Siphon divine ability on more than one person at a time. This way, they were able to accumulate life energy to use the Blood Sacrifice quickly.

They did this while the people of the Hydra kingdom were being massacred by their clone. And when their clone had to stop killing the people of the Hydra kingdom and ran away, they continued to kill the divine beasts of the spiritual realm.

They continued their hard work while the angel of undying was found and killed. They were still killing when Legion-4 left the white tower. And they were still busy with this when the first angel of telepathy used a strange method to track Legion-10.

They finally paused their work when Legion-10 counterattacked and struck the first angel of telepathy and the vessel of the god of dreams. They paused because they were on standby so that they would be available to do anything needed when they need to.

At this point, they were willing to use all of the life energy that they had hoarded. Fortunately, they didn’t have to use it.

Instead of wasting all of their hard work, Legion-10 sacrificed himself and used his sacrifice to escape the surveillance of the god of dreams. This meant that they still had the loaded weapon that they had been polishing for so long and could use it on this giant godling.

They were eager to give the giant godling a taste of Blood Sacrifice, but they had to hold on because after the clash with the god of dreams, they had earned the favor of the Ocean of Blood and became eligible to receive a divine fragment from it.

So they decided to wait for Legion-4 to return to the white tower and get the ritual to request the divine fragment from the Ocean of Blood. After all, they would have a higher chance of success if they fought the giant godling as a godling instead of fighting it as an angel.

The ritual to request a divine fragment is similar for every authority of pathways. There are some slight differences, but the differences are not as stark as the difference between the feats needed to draw the attention of the pathways and impress them.

They still don’t know what exactly was needed to impress the Ocean of Blood, but they don’t need to know anymore, since they have already fulfilled the requirement, no matter what it is

What they need now is the ritual to request the divine fragment from the Ocean of Blood.
