GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2519: A Giant’s Giant Phantom.

Chapter 2519: A Giant’s Giant Phantom.

The white shield can only block physical attacks, not spiritual attacks like the Life Siphon divine ability. So he felt the impact of the divine ability as soon as he was struck with it.

For mortals, the Life Siphon divine ability would absorb their life energy. But the giant is not a mortal. He is a divine being with divine energy. So, what the Life Siphon divine ability was siphoning from him was divine energy.

The amount of divine energy that Legion-2 was expending on the Life Siphon divine ability was far less than the amount of divine energy that he was draining from the giant, so he was gaining more divine energy than he was losing.

In the overall situation, the amount of divine energy that Legion-2 was siphoning from the giant is about equal to the amount of divine energy that he was spending on all of the divine abilities that he was using.

So he wasn’t losing any divine energy in this fight and could fight indefinitely. This was why he wasn’t concerned about all the divine energy that he was expending on all the divine abilities.

The giant was struck on all sides and was being pressured from more than one direction. Because he was being damaged by the Life Siphon divine ability, his rank 2 Berserk divine ability was already taking effect and making him stronger, but the rate at which he was growing stronger couldn’t match the rate at which he was losing divine energy.

If things were to continue this way, he was bound to lose. So, in order to turn the tide of battle, he activated the rank 9 Giantification divine ability. This caused a large six-armed phantom of a golden giant to appear around him.

The phantom of the six-armed giant was a true giant. It was so tall that it stood more than 100 kilometers tall. Legion-2 looked like an ant compared to it.

The giant made the phantom of the six-armed giant smash down on Legion with all six of its hands. This was an attack that couldn’t be evaded because of the large size of the phantom. Legion would have to take it on or evade it in a special way.

The giant used the Earth Boost divine ability, the Berserk divine ability, and the Overload divine ability to enhance the power of the giant phantom. Then he used Shock Fist to channel the power of the phantom into a special attack.

The special attack that was created caused the air to explode outwards from the six fists of the phantom. So even before the phantom made contact with Legion-2, he was already in danger of being blown apart.

This attack from the giant had reached a level that even gods would have to take seriously. This was because the giant had used the Overload divine ability to enhance the power of the phantom giant.

The Overload divine ability is a divine ability that utilizes all the stamina of a giant to create a devastating attack. After this singular attack, the giant will be rendered powerless because they have used all they had in them to create a single attack.

The Overload divine ability is similar to the Blood Sacrifice in that they are only used in desperation. The worst part is that giants don’t have a way to quickly recover their life energy, while killers have the Life Siphon divine ability.

Even though giants don’t have a way to quickly recover life energy or, in this case, divine energy. The giant still went ahead to use this move because instead of letting Legion-2 absorb all of his divine energy, it was better to use it for one devastating attack that would blow Legion-2 apart.

It is common sense that killers don’t have strong defensive means. It is also known that because of their blood body, killers are partially immune to physical attacks, but they are not immune to spiritual and elemental attacks. This was also why he didn’t let the phantom simply smash down on Legion-2.

Instead of using pure physical power to strike Legion-2, he used something else that would surely penetrate every part of Legion-2 and scatter him into the wind.

Legion-2 had two choices to make. He could either take on the attack or avoid it. If he decides to take on the attack, he will have the option to use the divine abilities of the pathway of undying, such as the Aegis Shield, Reflector, and Armor divine abilities.

On the other hand, if he decides to avoid the attack, he could use the Mindscape to escape. He could also use the Phantom Escape divine ability of the pathway of the undying.

After thinking about his options briefly, he chose to use only the divine abilities of the pathway of undying because he didn’t want to expose that he was a powerful telepath since this would draw the attention of the god of dreams.

He was already fighting the vessel of one god and didn’t want another one to join in. He also didn’t want to expose the fact that he could use more than one divine form, so he eliminated the option of escaping through the Mindscape with the divine form of the pathway of telepathy.

He also eliminated taking the attack head-on because it would consume too much divine energy to achieve. So he activated the Phantom Escape divine ability.

Once Legion-2 activated the Phantom Escape divine ability, his body became completely intangible and invisible. The giant could still see them because he was being controlled by a god, but the attack he produced passed through them harmlessly.

Legion-2 didn’t just stand there and let the attack move through him. He also rushed forward towards the giant to kill him. He wanted to get close to his body to kill him.

The turn of events took the giant off guard. He didn’t expect that not only would Legion be a godling of the pathway of undying, but also be an angel of undying. But he still didn’t panic.
