Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1879 - 1879: She is back

“Help! Help!”

Madam Lin and Sister Duan screamed in pain. Their clothes were set on fire and their bodies were about to be burnt to a crisp. They ran around the Yu house, without a care, causing the dry stack of hay to catch fire, including the shed that was used to cover for the vegetables.

When Ye Liu and the rest of the mers heard the screams of these two women, they rushed out of the house. When they saw two burning figures running and rolling around in the stack of hay and the green vegetables, they were so shocked that they forgot to even yell.

In the end it was Xiao Hua who heard the yells of two women coming from inside the Yu house and shouted, “Help! Help! Someone has set the Yu mansion on fire! Help!”

As he shouted, he ran inside the Yu house and saw Lang and the rest of the guards trying to douse the fire that was getting stronger and stronger.

“Fire?”

“Someone set fire to the Yu house?”

“Its not good! We have to help them!”

The villagers, if possible, had grown even closer to the Yu family after the Yu family opened the school, allowing their children to study for free. In the past they thought that studying was of no use but with their children getting educated, they realised that there were a lot of benefits to getting their children to learn.

Ever since their kids started to learn, those unscrupulous merchants were having a hard time scamming them!

Aunt Wang was the first one to rush in after Xiao Hua; she looked at the mers and Grandma Yu trying to put the fire out and asked in a hurry, “What’s going on? How can your house suddenly be set on fire?”

“Its them!” Chen Mi pointed at the two women who had jumped in the water vat that was used by Little Goat and Big White to drink water. At that moment, Big White, the snow leopard, was circling around the vat and growling, making it impossible for the two women to come out and they lay inside the vat looking terrified.

No one told them that this family owned a big beast!

When the rest of the villagers heard that two women had jumped inside the Yu house with the intention of self-destruct, they were shocked and disgusted.

“These women really! What has the Yu family even done to them? They only help the poor and the needy; why do they have to suffer so much?”

“These people should have been burnt to death; why did they survive?”

Though the villagers were furious, they still knew that the most important task was to stop the fire from spreading. Thus, they temporarily left the two women in the vat and rushed to put out the fire. Anyway, with Big White guarding these two women, they could not run away anywhere.

On the other hand, Yu Dong, who was rushing to the village, didn’t know why but she suddenly felt tense. Her eyes turned a degree sharper as she looked at the entrance of the village, which was not far.

Her eyes swiftly took a quick glance at the village and when her eyes fell in the direction where her house was, they turned two shades darker like an enraged wolf.

She immediately picked up the speed by whipping the horse that she was riding on its hind leg, leaving Wu Junfen in the dust behind her.

“Have you lost your mind? Why are you in such a hurry?” Wu Junfen coughed angrily; she thought that her granddaughter was pulling a prank on her as the two of them had now returned to the village.

However, Yu Dong simply looked back at her and said in a panicked voice, “Hurry up!”

“What’s wrong?” Wu Junfen sped up her horse as well and chased after Yu Dong.

“Its on fire!” Yu Dong replied, her heart clenched with worry as she looked at the fire that was getting more and more out of control.

She stared at the glowing golden hue and her heart thumped violently; she felt her breath fall short and the fear made her unable to breathe. Don’t tell her someone retaliated against her when she was not looking!

When Wu Junfen heard that the village was on fire, she turned around and followed Yu Dong’s line of sight; sure enough, she saw the golden hue that was getting more and more bright. Her heart suddenly clenched with worry and she rushed right after Yu Dong.

Even though the fire seemed to have started from the Yu house, it wouldn’t take long for it to engulf the entire village if they were not careful.

Soon Yu Dong arrived at the Big River Village; she overlooked the two mers who were being held down by the guards and then rushed straight to her home.

When she saw the burning flames getting smaller and smaller, her heart, which was fretting and anxious, calmed down, and she jumped down the horse before rushing inside the house.

“Li’er!” She couldn’t help but shout the name of her husband, whose face and clothes were stained with soot, with a few holes in his sleeves and clothes.

Shen Li stiffened. At first he was shocked and thought that he was hallucinating because he had been missing Yu Dong. But when he turned around, he did see his wife, standing there right at the entrance of the house with a smile on her lips.

She was just as beautiful as she was when she had left. But because Yu Dong was standing in the shadows, he did not notice the eyepatch on her eyes.

It was only when Shen Li turned around on his feet and rushed towards Yu Dong that she noticed something wrong. The smile on his lips stiffened as he saw the dark eye patch on his wife’s eyes along with many scars, including the jagged scar that rose from her neck and then reached inside her shirt.

If he was not wrong, then the end of the scar must be right over his wife’s heart!
