Shen Li cried and cried. He had been standing tall and straight for all these years and not once did he cry because he had to take care of his brothers and the children. As the official husband of Yu Dong, he didn’t have the privilege to cry either publicly or privately.

He could only wake up and protect the legacy that his wife left behind and, at the same time, make preparations for everything else in case something was to go wrong.

Yu Dong felt her throat getting choked up; she knew how much Shen Li had suffered these past two and a half years. This was the reason why she did not want to go to war but with how the situation escalated, there was nothing that she could have done about it.

She raised her hand and patted Shen Li on the back; if not for the fact that they were standing in public, she would have kissed him and coaxed him. But she knew how thin her husband’s skin was and thus didn’t do anything impulsive.

Instead she turned to look at the two women who were dragged out of the vat and looked at them with murderous intent leaking from her eyes. She asked, “Who are these two women? How dare they bully my family like this?”

As soon as Yu Dong finished speaking, Shen Li and the other mers’ eyes turned red. Oh, how long they have been waiting for someone to come and stand up for them like this. Even though they were strong enough to protect themselves, in the end, wasn’t it good to be protected by their wife?

Fang Chi, who was standing at the back, pointed at the two women and then said to Yu Dong, “Wife, these two women are simply beasts! When Yu Dong saw that Fang Chi was scared, she immediately helped him. She said to him, “Don’t be afraid; I am here.”

She then turned to look at the two women and sneered, “Since you two love brothels so much, then I will teach you a good lesson!”

As she spoke, she walked over to Madam Lin and her sister-in-law before injecting them with a ‘poison’. No sooner did she embed the controlling chip in the necks of the two women, Madam Lin and her sister-in-law, than they started to roll on the ground as they felt an exploding pain in their heads.

It was so painful that they even forgot the burnt wounds on their skins!
