MMORPG: Rise of the Peerless Pumpkinmancer

Chapter 387: Dumb Fish!

Chapter 387: Dumb Fish!

The morale of the human army was akin to premature ejaculation.

It started fun, hard, and magnificent…but suddenly turned flaccid as people got killed. Apparently, for some, getting their own entrails shoved down their throat was PTSD-inducing.

“Muahahaha! Is this all that you human can do?!” Gargan kept guffawing.

He was a mad rampaging god on the battlefield. To make matters worse, there was no way to injure him! The players were quickly faced with the same problem as Jack earlier.

But that’s when the formations began appearing! I.R.L. was the first guild to showcase its formation mastery. It didn’t take them long for magic golden chains to link them as they surrounded and trapped Gargan!

The latter could only stare wide-eyed at the enormous power the weaklings were displaying. “H-how?!” He screamed as the golden chains engulfed him as if a net.

Then came the killing blows! A gigantic golden spear manifestation the size of a tower filled the entire street! The attack was so flashy that it even blinded the bystanders.

“So sharp!”

“A divine weapon?!”

“Bruh….are they hackers?!”

The whole thing was positively showy as it flashed toward the enemy leader, all the aquatic people’s faces turning grim. He was about to get killed! Many tried using support magic, but they were far too late.

Then it all collided at once, a seemingly world-destroying spear!

— WHOOSH! CRASH! RUMBLE! —

Was he dead? Everyone held their breath (especially the fishes)…

“Pfft— Hahahaha, nice try but…” Gargan’s voice resounded, his gargantuan shadow appearing amid the I.R.L. formation akin to a bloody ghost.

A fist riddled with finger-sized wounds promptly crushed Lead’s subordinates. Crush! Crush! Their bodies were exploding one after the other.

“H-he survived this?!”

“M-monster!”

Players’ knees went weak as many fell into the rising water. They couldn’t even deal with the enemy leader even after having surrounded him. What kind of BS quest was this?!

“Hehe, I’ll break you all slowly until….” Gargan was asserting his dominance, his aura brewing terror into the humans’ hearts. He then flashed forward, aiming for Lead.

The latter simply scoffed, rolling sideways. He had long expected the enemy to survive this. That’s when began a fight that was as impressive as silly-looking.

Lead kept toying with the creature, using his spear to propel himself out of harm’s way as the enemy kept swinging at empty air. What kind of movements were those?!

It was as if Lead could see the future. He was moving before his opponent would even begin moving, as if a goddamn prophet! The spectators felt chills picturing themselves in his place.

A single of Gargan’s attacks would have ended it all if it landed. Yet, Lead was unbelievably elusive. It was as if he had suddenly gone Super Saiyan mode!

In front of his eyes, there was a translucent window.

— Jack’O: Two steps to the left, then roll backward 7’clock. A barrage of water bullets will come: side-step those. Then he’ll swing a water trident backward and….

As Lead kept reading, and dodging, he was overwhelmed by awe. How, just how?! The fight walkthrough Jack had sent him was past the point of being impactful. It was godlike!

[T-this is unscientific!]

[Analyzing! Analyzing! Incomplete Data?!]

The system watched it all happen, as baffled as the bystanders. Jack hadn’t even seen Gargan fight on land, so how did he know how everything would proceed?!

There was only one possible explanation, and yet it was unbelievably terrifying. He had guessed it, based on their underwater fight….how?!

But then disaster struck as Gargan suddenly switched pattern, grabbing Lead by the throat, a victorious grin adorning his face.

He was hoisting the human in the air akin to a puppet, the latter utterly unable to defend himself. But as everyone despaired, the victim instead sighed heavily.

“You’re strong, but your resolve’s weak. What a shame….” Not only wasn’t he scared, but he was shaking his head sideways in…disappointment?!

“Pfft— Human, did fear turn you insane?”

“Insane? That rage of yours did.”

Lead serenely uttered, as if he could see straight through the enemy’s soul. After all, Gargan had charged ahead alone to slaughter humans. If that wasn’t insane, what was?

Then again, the line between arrogance and insanity was extremely blurry. With a confident smile, Gargan crushed his victim’s body.

— CRUSH! —

Then he turned to the remaining I.R.L. members.

Anyone with the Justice-Safekeeping emblem was getting targeted and obliterated one after the other. Yet, not a single one threw their emblem away. They even placed it forward in sight.

“Hey, big guy!”

“You forgot about me, hehe!”

“Bahahaha, even dead, our Leader’s spirit’s still with us!”

They gleefully taunted their opponent, even as they perished. Death? Who the hell cares! At that moment, their courage was even bigger than the blood pools they left on the ground.

“Die! Die! Die! All of you! Crazy humans! Die!!!”

[Driven Gargan to Berserk Mode!]

[What Have You Done?!]

The system and the other guilds watched it all happen with horrified gazes. What the fuck was going on?! Did they have to antagonize him so?! Sure, they were drawing aggro at the moment, but what would happen once I.R.L. was completely wiped out?!

I.R.L. Gone —> Aggro on the Bystanders —> RIP!

The humans were already crying as they saw the whole scene unfold. What in the bloody hell was happening?! Were they simply creating one impossible mess for them?!

Then it finally came to the last I.R.L. member.

“How’s that! I wiped you all!” Gargan towered over his latest victim, his hand penetrating his chest from side to side. It was gory and no doubt horribly painful, and yet….

“He was called Lead. Fuck you, hahaha!”

Talk about silly last words! Yet no one really noticed for something else happened at that very moment. Suddenly, the bloody red water all around the city started trembling.

What?! It was as if the red liquid was coming alive?! It’s also when the last I.R.L. member’s laugh went from defiant to gleeful. After all, they had been stalling all this time!

A red-robed individual slowly came forth… walking on water?! It seemed like the blood in the water was going out of its way to make a foothold for him…how?!

But that was only the beginning. With every step, the head-cultist spoke, his voice sounding as deep as inhuman as he began listing the enemy’s mistakes.

“Fighting cultists on their home turf….”

“Losing yourself in bloodshed and ignoring them….”

“But most importantly, attacking the Demon Lord’s possession….”

“You ain’t the sharpest fish in the sea, it seems. Hehehe, don’t worry, your body and soul won’t forget this lesson. Now, shall we begin…”

Just as he said his last sentence, a baleful red aura gushed out of the Town District dedicated to the Cult. It was almost as vile as the head cultist’s smirk, almost…
