The runes took effect, the elemental-like wall appeared, glowing even more than a bald god’s head, and then it was finally the moment of truth, for an amazing instant the world seemed to still.

To fight or to nap? Jack couldn’t help but give a wry smile. “System, Surrender the Inst— Wait, what?!” He had just been about to finish his sentence when he suddenly froze.

Still, it couldn’t have come at a worse time. As Jack gazed at the lava, he couldn’t help but frown endlessly. He had progressed a bit alone, but it would still take a while.

The two weird elementals had probably gained sentience?
They were probably coming to pay their respect!
As for being worried? There was no need to be!
In fact, the one dying at the moment was actually Jack! Sleep deprivation coupled with feeling like a pig in the oven and Dragon jump-scares?! This was the Ultimate Torture!
And the more they went down, and the worse it got…

Back in the real world, a ghost ran out of his apartment. He was sickly looking, coughing endlessly, and so tired-looking, yet he rushed out of his place like a mad demon!

As expected, the neighborhood was still “amazing” and full of concerned citizens, but so what? Jack didn’t give a fuck about them! He erupted inside a convenience store!
The poor clerk saw his life flash before his eyes…
“Take anything you want, just don’t kill me!” but then a second later, the man gasped in utter incomprehension. What the hell?! The junkie was just grabbing Ice bags?
Yep, ICE! Lots and lots of ICE! Enough to freeze a pool over, and yet he didn’t seem to want to give it a rest just yet, even as the peacekeepers aimed their electrified sticks his way.
Even they couldn’t help but freeze as Jack kept swiping his phone at the automatic ice machine as if he was truly addicted to ICE!

“Help already! It’s URGENT!” Could a random citizen order the peacemakers? No way, right? He wasn’t their boss! But as the men in uniform saw his beast-like gaze, they froze.
Then, a second later, they were all obediently carrying ice bags for a youngster who looked more madman than human, yet one that they didn’t dare slight in the least.
But as for what followed, they suddenly jumped in fright.
“Young man, you can’t be serious?!”
“What are you even trying to do?”
“We won’t help with—GULP!”
Those eyes came back, ones that screamed of violence, destruction, madness, and yet that had a glow in them that utterly overwhelmed all their protests.
This guy KNEW what he was doing!
“Y-Yes, Sir! Right away, Sir!”
Before long, they had helped him with whatever he was doing, utterly unsure what that was about. So shaken that they actually helped him as if on auto-pilot.
It was only once they left the apartment and the door closed on their asses that they finally slowly returned to their senses, still shaken.
“Why would anyone need that much Ice in a bathtub?”
“Wait… don’t tell me he’s killing himself?!”
“Oh FUCK! What did we just do?!”
“Let’s kick the door in and—”
But just as they were about to, a goddess appeared, her eyes glowing as she grasped the paper bag in her embrace like a treasure. < Deadliest Spices! >
Lilly was just returning, resolved to cook her beloved brother the most delicious food! But she had barely taken a few steps when she froze. What the hell was that about?
Wait, Jack was in trouble?! Never had anyone rushed to a bathroom so fast! The place was colder than death, and he was in a coffin of ice! What the hell?!
And as she saw his state, her heart stopped…
