Chapter 2618: Spellcasting Mania

Eldritch summoned the Malevolent Throne which increased his casting speed eve further while also decreasing the resource consumption of all his spells. Peridot immediately noticed the shift in the air as the danger that Eldritch released increased further. The dragon blood inside of her is telling her that an unnatural being or thing is now present in the area and that is the Malevolent Throne.

“Malevolent Cannon!” Eldritch shouted as six orbs of sinister energy suddenly formed beside him.

These six orbs of sinister energy could not hold the energy that is inside of them and blasted it towards Peridot. Each of the sinister energy beams could kill an epic tier beast in one shot which means six could kill a legendary tier if hit directly. Peridot did not panic as she merely revealed her horns and tail to aid in her spell casting as she was using her human form earlier which severely limits her.

“Six Elemental Barrier!” Peridot stated as her gems swirled around her to emit the purest form of elemental attribute mana for each element.

A six layered elemental barrier covered Peridot’s area that defended her against the Malevolent Cannon. Each of the sinister energy beam fizzled out and only three layers of her barrier were destroyed in the process. Peridot then proceeded to take out one Mythical Tier gem that has a very shiny golden color.

“Sacrifice the Heavenly Gold Gem! Activate the Holy Attribute Spell: Gate of the Seven Heavens!” Peridot declared as she tossed the shiny gold gem which is called the Heavenly Gold Gem that costs 500 gold coins an ounce.

The shiny gold stone then turned to dust in the air and an old looking stone gate appeared. This gate had runes that only angels could read, and it radiates this pure holy energy that could purge evil. The only problem is that the gate remained closed which made Eldritch laugh because Peridot actually made him nervous for a second.

“To think a second-rate spell caster like you made me nervous. Die, you kleptomaniac broad!” Eldritch shouted as he slammed his staff onto the ground once more and the Malevolent Forest appeared.

Malevolent Thorns suddenly burst out from the darkness that Eldritch summoned and snaked their way towards Peridot. Some of the Malevolent Thorns even turned into a humanoid form as they were the ones that absorbed the Ascendant Immortals that Eldritch killed earlier. The Malevolent Thorn Ghouls as one can call them charged towards Peridot along with the incoming Malevolent Thorns.

“The gate of the heavens purifies all evil.” Peridot stated as her words finally activated the Mythical Tier spell that she instantly casted earlier.

A choir of numerous beautiful voices could then be heard as the Holy Attribute Spell: Gate of the Seven Heavens started to activate. The rusted looking old gate hanging in the air suddenly started to open and its look began to change. The rusty gate slowly revealed its golden interior as a powerful holy light escaped from the Holy Attribute Spell: Gate of the Seven Heavens. This beam of holy light disintegrated all of the evil aligned beings in a straight path.

All of the Malevolent Thorn Ghouls and even the Malevolent Forest itself where the thorns come from were erased. Even the spell caster of the Malevolent Forest was not spared in the holy beam. Eldritch could be seen to have used up quite a bit of his mana to conjure up a powerful shield around him and even utilized his Malevolent Throne’s special skill that blocks one instance of damage.

“He is still not dead?” Peridot thought as that was a Mythical Tier spell and Eldritch basically tanked a hit like that.

“This broad is not easy to deal with. She would not be able to release another spell like that anyway since that is a Mythical Tier spell. I can also block another one as I still have one Damage Nullification stack from the Malevolent Throne.” Eldritch thought as his evaluation of Peridot increased by a bit. He still thinks of her as a petty drop stealer but his evaluation of her increased from that to slightly strong player.

“I admit that you have gained some of my respect and you should feel proud of that. You even erased all of my Malevolent Forest with one spell. Know that I think of you as a worthy mage, but this is where you die. Claw of Cthulhu!” Eldritch shouted as he summoned a large rift that is connected to another dimension and a large claw of a monstrous being came out of it to rip Peridot apart.

“What is this lunatic raving about? I already lost lots of potential money because of you but I guess getting the drops from the Black Tortoise of the North is better. I cannot let the eastern continent become more chaotic than it is.” Peridot stated as she took out five gems that shined in brilliant deep colors that represented each element except for light.

[You have sacrificed the Frozen Crystal to cast Niflheim.]

[You have sacrificed the Spark Emerald to cast Mjolnir’s Wrath.]

[You have sacrificed the Earth Crusted Diamond to cast Fjorgyn’s Revenge.]

[You have sacrificed the Midnight Obsidian to cast Helheim.]

As soon as Peridot took out five of her most precious mythical tier gems, the battle was already over as this was a very hefty investment even for her. She basically used up a year’s worth of special tones that can only drop one in ten thousand to deal with Eldritch. She does not even know that it is Eldritch that she is fighting but she knew that the enemy mage was a raving lunatic that looks down on others. She wanted to teach him a lesson even if it will hurt her in the future.
