Chapter 2645: Soul Searching in the East II

Since there was nothing else to check in the area, Adrian entered the rift he created and vanished from the area. When the Seer of the White Tiger suddenly appeared in the Dragon Lake Palace, she was incredibly surprised to see the Seers of the Vermillion Bird and the Seer of the Black Tortoise. It seems that they were acquainted with one another and shared the news of the death of their masters. She also learned that the Seer of the Azure Dragon is dead which made her face all gloomy.

“So, tell me what happened that it is so urgent?” Adrian asked Awraka.

“I should start with how we ended up fighting in that area.” Awraka stated as she gave a brief but concise details of what happened.

“An enemy suddenly rising to the power of a lesser god and then a dragon’s hand reclaiming its soul. It must be the doing of the Yellow Emperor as it is growing stronger to the point that it could create rifts in the continent. The attempt in creating that rift earlier was shoddy which meant that it could only do that with its current power.

If it also locked into the soul of the being that suddenly ascended as you say, the Yellow Emperor’s abilities might be tied to the souls that signed a contract with it. The forced ascension you have encountered might be the reward for signing off one’s soul. Still, the forced ascension makes one unstable and twists the body to become akin to a monster.” Adrian stated.

“I also think the same, guild leader.” Awraka stated as she was also well versed in gathering and compiling data.

“If that is the case, we really need to do the ritual for reviving the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts.” Adrian stated which was heard by all three of the seers.

“It would be impossible now because the Seer of the Azure Dragon is dead. We need them to orchestrate the ceremony. An assistant priestess would have been fine as well if they were taught the Revival Ceremony, but they told me that none of them learned it.” The Seer of the White Tiger stated as she learned the status of the priestesses of the Azure Dragon.

“All of the ones that were able to flee safely were all trainee priestesses after all. It takes at least five years of training in order to learn the proper ceremony.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise stated.

“We will do a shortcut for that. It is the only way to do so, and we have already finished preparing for it. We could start tomorrow if the Seer of the White Tiger needs to rest.” Adrian stated as they did just escort the Seer of the White Tiger here.

“I am still brimming with energy because of what I absorbed earlier. The revival of our masters takes priority as it will stabilize the continent.” The Seer of the White Tiger stated.

“Reviving our masters would also limit the authority of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor. It will not have free reign as it has now and would limit the abilities of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor to where it is now.” The Seer of the Vermillion Bird stated.

“We are ready to lay down our lives as long as our masters are revived.” All three seers stated in unison as they know their duty.

“I see. If that is the case, then please follow me.” Adrian stated as he guided all of them to a pavilion decorated in special foliage.

“Everything is prepared accordingly. We were all waiting for you.” Levin Cloud stated as he is in his ceremonial priestly robes.

The area looked like a ceremonial altar that was common back when the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts did not protect the eastern continent. The seers were all wary of the ceremonial altar as this was banned by their masters. These ceremonial altars are usually used by the users of the Forbidden Arts like Corpse Masters. The Four Cardinal Divine Beasts always said that human life is sacred hence such practices were banned and left to be forgotten.

“What is this blasphemy?!” The Seer of the White Tiger stated as she was the most uptight of all of them.

“This is a ceremonial altar fashioned in the archives we have from the Dragon Lake Palace. I told you that we will need a shortcut. The shortcut in question is the fact that we will call upon the spirit of the deceased Seer of the Azure Dragon.” Adrian stated calmly which is quite different from the reaction of the seers that were visibly disturbed.

“This would upset the balance of nature. It will place immense karma onto us all.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise stated as she was more familiar with this as her master has powers over death after all.

Instead of being offended by what the seers were saying, Adrian and Levin Cloud laughed and then smiled. When the two of them smiled to look at the seers, the three maidens felt a pressure that was incredibly deep and powerful. It was like they were looking at the depths of the underworld when gazing into their forms. Only when the two spoke did the three seers return back to reality.

“If someone is going to be offended then that would be King Yama. We would really need something that could entice him.” Levin Cloud stated.

“I already have something interesting to offer so you do not need to worry about that. Shall we proceed with the ceremony?” Adrian asked.

“Sure. Make the finishing touches while I gather the others for the briefing.” Levin Cloud stated as he went to gather everyone as per their plan.

A few moments later, all of the people in the Dragon Lake Palace were gathered near the ceremonial altar. Those that know of the altar were gossiping on what is happening while others were disturbed by it. The only reason why no one is questioning it is due to the fact that the two grand masters were silent and waiting for the demon before them to speak.
