Chapter 2710: Divine Beings from the South

The heat wave released by Vritra is easily stopped by Elder Koronn by freezing it in place. The attack then crumbled to nothing as it never reached Adrian in the first place. The two divine beings saw this and their confidence suddenly took quite a hit. They were not told that Arch Demons could stop them and they were not this powerful.

“The information that we had is not accurate, flaming head.” Vritra stated.

“For once, I agree with you. They are not Arch Demons anymore. I can feel divine energy in their breath. We need to retreat now and inform the others.” Bhasmasura stated.

“So, there are others.” Elder Ascalor stated as he suddenly appeared behinf the two divine beings which startled them.

The two divine beings did not even realized space shifting near them and is shocked to find one of the demons behind them. Bhasmasura is the one that reacted faster and reached out towards Elder Ascalor’s head. Bhasmasura has a very special ability to immolate the heads of those that he touched. It is an ability that can bypass even the sturdiest of barriers or protection.

The hand that is supposed to reach out for Elder Ascalor suddenly found itself unable to move. It looked like time itself has been frozen for Bhasmasura’s hands. Bhasmasura did not know this and neither does his ally.

“What are you doing, flaming head! Kill him!” Vritra stated but it also found itself unable to move.

“I cannot move, snake!” Bhasmasura stated.

“We will need both of you for questioning. Well, at least one should suffice.” Elder Ascalor stated.

“Mongrel! Do you think that we are weak?!” The two divine beings shouted as their divine energies surged from their bodies and destroyed the temporal restraint affecting them.

Elder Ascalor had to retreat back to Adrian and the others as it became dangerous. The three elders suddenly had a look of realization when the two divine beings suddenly made their divine energy explode. The elders now know where these two beings come from and Elder Koronn was the one that muttered what they are called.

“Asuras!” Elder Koronn muttered in reflex as he now remembers this distinct energy.

“You mean those divine beings from the southern continent?! What are they doing here?” Adrian stated.

“What else are they here for, brat? You basically have a divine level tree floating in the air. It seems that the restrictions on those divine beings are now gone. The large rift in the northern continent due to the destruction of the world divine barrier carried more consequences than we thought.” Elder Ascalor stated.

“HAH! Now that you know what we are! It is better if you hand us your territory, demon! Hand over the Banyan Sacred Tree to us and we will graciously let you live!” Bhasmasura stated as he called the Tree of Life and Death with one of its many naming iterations.

There might be numerous different divine factions in the world of Pandemonium but they all have a sacred tree. This is the one thing that does not change as each of the factions have a divine tree where all their power is either derived from or sourced from. What Bhasmasura just mentioned is a name given to the Tree of Life and Death by the gods of the southern continent.

“If they are Asuras then they are not as powerful as their main gods then. This will be a good exercise for us then. I always wanted to check the limits of my own power at the moment.” Elder Bronx suddenly stated with a smile.

“I would like to test as well. Noblesse level Temporal Magic is different after all.” Elder Koronn stated.

“Just make sure at least one of them is alive but it would be better if it was the snake. We need answers after all. The one with the flaming head looks stupid and cannot be trusted with what he says.” Adrian added which made the two Asuras flare up as they heard an Arch Demon insulting them.

“If that is what you want, brat. I will prepare them a stage where they could rampage then.” Elder Ascalor stated as he suddenly transformed to his true form which is now vastly different than before.

Elder Ascalor’s true form made him look younger with a very well-toned and robust body. The major difference is that his wings now look like hands made of spatial rifts. Space itself trembled just by exposing his new form and that his horns looked like they were fabricated from that same energy his wings are made of.

Even Elder Ascalor’s body looked like it was fading in and out of existence. Three orbs of pure spatial energy could also be seen revolving around Elder Ascalor. These three orbs were black holes condensed in a smaller form and can be controlled at will by Elder Ascalor himself. He then made a hand gesture as if curling up and flipping up something but it was actually space itself that he is bending.

With a few simple hand gestures, the two Asuras were already caught and sent to another dimensional plane. Elder Koronn and Elder Bronx also vanished from their sides which means that Elder Ascalor himself has already sent them to their opponents. Adrian also wanted to help but he suddenly felt a powerful mass of energy coming towards them.

“They are coming from the south!” Adrian stated as he clapped his hands to part away the fog and clouds to reveal a large naval and aerial fleet coming towards them.

The fleet is literally composed of a hundred ships with half moving from the water while the other half was flying in the sky. One could say that they are akin to flying boats that use the air itself as their water. Adrian was about to announce something to his guild when he felt another powerful source of energy coming from the north of his territory which is filled with trees.
