Chapter 2715: Defending Avalon IV

On the southern side of the battlefield, the fleets of airships and seafaring ships could be seen to have taken some damage. Some of them have outright been destroyed by Elder Ascalor alone. The only reason why not all of them have been destroyed is the fact that Elder Ascalor is maintaining two separate dimensions and another divine being is protecting the ships.

Elder Ascalor felt it when he tried to use Dimensional Slicer which is an upgraded version of Dimensional Cutter. A powerful resistance or rather the airships and the seafaring ships that are supposed to be destroyed suddenly got covered by a protective aura. This protective aura mitigated most of the damage dealt by Dimensional Slicer.

Elder Ascalor knew that this protective aura cannot be done just by mere demigods. There is another divine being that is at the level of a Greater God hiding inside one of the ships. The only reason why that divine being is not showing themselves is only due to some circumstances. One would be that the divine being was supposed to be a hidden ace to takeover Avalon or they are not a fighter. The divine being hiding might be an expert of pure protection and that they are frail by themselves.

“Nevertheless, I can just feed them all to a blackhole. The Deep Ones might nag me for destroying the ocean that they use but it is necessary to destroy any threat.” Elder Ascalor stated as he suddenly heard numerous explosions from Avalon.

The numerous explosions heard from Avalon did put some worry across Elder Ascalor’s head which is why he asked one of the demons to report. Hearing that it was only the enemy army that exploded and not Avalon itself, Elder Ascalor decided to carry on with his attack. As he was about to create the black hole, the entire ocean suddenly got engulfed in mist. He released a blast of temporal energy towards the mist to diffuse it but the mist is actually another form of barrier.

“It must be that divine being’s skill. I need to put more effort then. Rift Severer!” Elder Ascalor stated as he suddenly created numerous large cuts on space itself that actually created an empty void.

With space being torn apart, even the mist barrier did not hold on and disperse immediately but shock can only be seen on Elder Ascalor’s face. The remaining airships and seafaring ships suddenly vanished without a trace. All of them escaped and the only trace that they left are the destroyed ships on the ocean.

“So, even they escaped as well. Did they use a portal that uses a different energy source? The enemies on that side used a portal by using the power of nature. They bent all the trees to make a pathway and vanished inside of it.” Adrian stated as he appeared next to Elder Ascalor.

“If that is the case then you will not be able to stop that portal then. I guess the enemies on this side also did the same but I was unable to see as this strange mist clouded my vision. Fortunately, we still have some leads.” Elder Ascalor stated as he showed an image of what is happening in the other dimensions.

Elder Bronx could be seen bashing the head of a flaming headed divine being called Bhasmasura. Elder Koronn could be seen toying with a divine being that is in the form of a serpent that is coiled orbs of water. The two elders were fighting or rather they are bullying the divine beings that are trapped in the other dimension with them.

Elder Bronx could be seen using his signature Force Shell ability to perfection. He coated his body with it that it created a sheen but it also defended him against the ability of Bhasmasura which is Tactile Pyromancy. Anything that Bhasmasura touches will ignite on the spot and if he touches the head of another being then it will spontaneously combust.

“Why did you come to Avalon? If you speak now then I might think about sparing you.” Elder Bronx stated as his fists met Bhasmasura’s stomach once more.

“Did you think that I am not afraid of death!? Killing me here would just make my divine soul return back to my own temple! Did you think that we would attack without any precaution?!” Bhasmasura stated.

Elder Bronx then proceeded to laugh due to the declaration of the enemy before him. Bhasmasura thought that the demon lost its mind because it cannot truly kill him but something about the smile made him uneasy. Elder Bronx then stopped laughing as his entire body became pure force that destroyed the lower half of Bhasmasura in an instant.

“What!?” Bhasmasura stated as he did not expect that his lower body would suddenly get obliterated in an instant.

“So, the boy does tell the truth that the soul is kept in the head but regulated by the heart. It seems that is true even for divine beings such as yourself.” Elder Bronx stated as his true form is revealed.

Elder Bronx’ true form is now different as he is now at least three meters tall with his body covered in golden spiky armor. This golden spiky armor is just Force Energy solidified and turned into something physical. An armor made of energy itself and any damage to the armor would create an explosion that can easily destroy a small village. Elder Bronx’ three horns also got covered by these golden crystals but he can use them to ram to another being to induce the explosion himself.

This is what Elder Bronx did earlier, he transformed into his true form and then rammed his body towards Bhasmasura. The clash was quick as Elder Bronx’ body basically entered lightspeed. The explosion also destroyed Bhasmasura’s lower half in under a split second that even the divine being himself did not feel nor notice. This is the newfound power that Elder Bronx awakened when he focused more on the force aspect of Origin Magic.
