Chapter 2736: Disappear into the Void

The God of Mischief Loki used his last chance to defy fate to make the threat to his life disappear and it did. When time for the God of Mischief Loki finally flowed back to normal, the artifact that he kept to make one of the powerful demons disappear vanished from his side. The artifact called Void Catcher is a purple spider monster variant statue that can drag any being into the Void without problem.

It usually takes quite a long time to activate a powerful relic like this because even a god could be dragged towards the Void. Still, the more powerful the being that is dragged away, the more powerful the rebound is to the item user. The God of Mischief Loki actually coughed up blood and became weakened as a result of the backlash from using the item.

“The demon threatening the God of Mischief Loki’s life is dragged to the Void because of the sudden activation of the Void Catcher. The God of Mischief Loki escapes with his neck intact without any problem.”

The God of Mischief Loki can write up to two sentences that can change fate to his whims. He knew that just having the demon behind him be dragged away will not make him safe from the attack. The God of Mischief Loki knew that his neck would still be cut off even if the demon gets dragged to the Void. He knew that he will die unless he wrote that he is safe.

Adrian suddenly found himself covered in a web made of strange energy. He felt a powerful rift coming from behind him with a purple monster eye looking from behind it. All of his body cannot move as if everything is paralyzed but that is not all.

“What is happening!?” Adrian shouted as his entire body is suddenly yanked as he disappeared into the rift.

“Equinox!” Frey shouted as she could not believe her eyes as if fate itself was playing with her.

Frey knew that they were about to win and Adrian was about to decapitate the God of Mischief Loki. They were inches away from gaining vengeance but the God of Mischief Loki suddenly found a way to evade death. It was like he could toy with fate itself but that should not be possible as there are only three goddesses that can change fate.

“HAHAHAHA!” The God of Mischief Loki suddenly laughed as the demon that is an immediate threat has vanished while the Valkyrie before her can no longer kill him as she is no longer coated in nether energy.

With Adrian vanishing, the domain also vanished in the area. The sealed space is also lifted which means that the God of Mischief Loki can escape any time that he wants. The God of Mischief Loki did not leave immediately though as he wanted to savor his victory. He managed to vanish one of the most powerful demons or rather enemy into the Void. A place that even a god will not be able to survive unless they turn mad.

[The God of Mischief Loki’s immunity to fate has been lifted.]

[The Norns are smiling upon the unexpected event.]

[The Norns has decreed a punishment befitting the God of Mischief Loki for killing their favorite seer.]

[The Norns decreed that the God of Mischief Loki will die a very miserable death. A death that will not end even if he wishes to die himself.]

“What?!” The God of Mischief Loki laugh suddenly cut off when he suddenly felt the threads of fate bind him.

The trickster god that could evade even death itself always wondered why he is a god that even the Norns cannot mess with. He is not afraid of the Norns because he was always immune to their powerful change fate. The God of Mischief Loki’s arrogance also stems from this belief that he is above the Norns since they cannot alter even a small event in his fate.

“It was not that I am immune. It was my divine artifact that made me immune but I no longer have it.” The God of Mischief Loki thought as his divine artifact crumbled to dust when he wrote the last chance to defy fate.

The God of Mischief Loki did not expect this result as even he does not know what his divine artifact does. He made it a secret and to make sure to not tell anybody as it is a powerful artifact that can change fate. He did not expect that the very artifact that made him evade his death now is also the reason why he can now be tampered with by the Norns.

“I must escape!” The God of Mischief Loki shouted as fear crept in his heart even more because he now knows that the Norns can watch his every move.

“You will not escape!” Frey shouted as she mustered all the remaining power that she could to at least land a devastating blow on the weakened God of Mischief Loki.

Unfortunately for Frey, the clones created by the God of Mischief Loki are still there despite being weakened as well. All of the clones held Frey off until the real God of Mischief Loki vanished in smoke. Only when the clones also vanished is smoke did she know that the God of Mischief Loki has vanished from the kingdom.

“Adrian!” Frey called out Equinox’ real name instead of his game ID because she is worried.

Adrian suddenly vanished without even a shred of resistance. She knew that this occurrence is unnatural but she did see a glimpse of how he got dragged away. It was a rift large enough for a human but small for a monster to pass through. The energy she felt from that rift is also reminiscent of the energy of demons.
